Me. Having another nightmares about an Elder Mimic stalking me in my house that was a continuation of the previous. This time I was hiding in my trash cans with the Elder Mimic slowly crawling out my window and I left my supplies and book bag in the yard and I have to go back and grab it and run. It’s pitch black outside cause everyone either died or evacuated.

My dog survived though and she ran off with me before the Elder Mimic found me. I think I hid in the garage and I grabbed my bag and me and my dog ran through my neighbors yard and got far away before the Elder Mimic found us.

I just woke up totally traumatized from one of the weirdest nightmares of my life. My brain invented a movie with the absolute goofiest name: "Ziangy Zangooay Sack."

In the dream, the plot is about a submarine that goes underwater and finds a really weird sea serpent animatronic with huge goggly eyes. Instead of roaring, it made bizarre noises that honestly sounded like owls shitting themselves. Then out of nowhere, there was a gory scene where the serpent eats a character named 1x1x1x from Forsaken (a Roblox game), and its insides were made of glowing green number code with bright yellow blood.

Right after that weird music started playing, it instantly cut to a promo for The Amazing World of Gumball , and I woke up shaken to my core. Has anyone else ever dreamed up a fake movie that felt way too real?

Literally what title says, start brainstorming

such a random nightmare but it genuinely made me freeze (like most paranormal type nightmares do)

It was def weird cuz I even kinda foreshadowed it in the dream before it happened..

so I was just walking to my kitchen at home, there was someone there at the sink, cant remember who but I told him something like "man imagine someone was behind you".

Then all of a sudden, as I look back towards the bathroom (about 20 feet behind the sink) after looking at the person, I see my mom's forehead sticking out from the dark bathroom but sideways, like she was peeking at a 90⁰ angle, then it quickly goes back inside the bathroom as if she knew she got caught and it made me say "OHHH MY GOD... BRO DID YOU SEE THAT?!"

And the guy was just confused lol and I was just frozen. Then I jolted myself awake, still frozen, didnt even wanna move lol. My mind was still trying to separate reality from dream. My eyes started to tear up from the chills I got

I’m 17F, for context I was watching the life of pi, and saw a TikTok of the show Mandy last night. my mums a cleaner and she doesn’t like how other carers are trying to exploit her client for money etc ( she works for old people) the story doesn’t matter but those are what I think caused this nightmare. ALSO she said something about death. And also I was at my grandmas yesterday. My nan grandad and uncle live there)

So last night, maybe 2am I went to sleep and I was blissfully unaware about the horrific nightmare awaiting me 😭 - idk why that was so Shakespeare

So in the dream in at my grandmas house I remember falling asleep In my dream, waking up having breakfast and heading to the living room. There’s a sliding door I looked out and there were 2 lions. 🦁 😭 I obviously was scared af and shut the door. I was like Nan omg there’s a lion and she and my uncle were terrified. My grandad went to lock the door but the lions managed to get in. They were all funky colours like orange and black and white. But they were harmless, my nan and uncle decided to leave in the car and I was like yup I’m coming with you so they run across the front garden to the car. For some reason my grandad disappears and I don’t see him for the rest of the time?
So I hop through the lions and make it to the car.
I mentioned Mandy earlier, idk who plays her but she’s the woman who played philomena cunk. Anyway so a large ass group of her come spilling into the garden and they’re all wearing carer/ maid outfits. Apparently someone called them because our house was literally infested with lions. So they tried to take over our house and they were making food in the kitchen. Also I’m in the car we’re not driving anywhere and my nan and uncle were eating Cashews?! Like where’s the urgency?!
My mum shows up and doesn’t like the maids in the kitchen and taking over our house and one of them said what are you going to do about it? So they start FIGHTING and it was brutal. I mean brutal. One of the women got decapitated with an axe, that’s how brutal it was. And it was In detailed. I was HORRIFIED!!
During the fight some paramedics/ zoo keepers showed up and got rid of the lions. Eventually my mum disappears and the maids are taken away, it’s back to some sort of calm. Her head is still on the floor btw 😭 I run up the garden and ask this maid that was still there if my mum was there and if she was ok. She responded she has died so I was like wtf where?! She said in the laundry room (we don’t have a laundry room irl) I find my poor mums body amongst some clothes and I see her face and ITS GONE. I see bones and stuff like the outline of her skull and I am so so sad I’m crying. I see her face it looked like a mask tbh on the floor I put it on her face and I remember it looked like porcelain like her face just smashed off.

The last image i remember is holding my mums face with her eyes missing blood everywhere. I woke up early crying.
WTF WAS THAT IVE never had a nightmare that bad. It’s interesting what your brain mixes together. I hope it’s not a recurring dream 😭

Has anyone else had HORRIFIC nightmares like that??

I've had a few, but not for some time. From teeth falling out to having a certifiably weird appearance. I imagine anything could happen with a dream mirror including seeing yourself sleeping, or just an empty hungry void possibly with gnashing teeth.

Also, I may have scared my 6yo by telling her to try to avoid looking at mirrors in dreams.

When I was abt 5 or 6 I remember this vivid dream that I had two or so times. I was standing at the top of a causeway bridge at one side of the bridge holding the hand of my dad or mom, my parents and two brothers were all holding each other's hands side by side. We're were facing the other side of the bridge as cars were passing by. I noticed on the other side that there was a little praying mantis standing there and I ran to it because I was worried a car would run it over. I remember turning around to see my family still on the other side holding hands and I decided to keep moving towards the mantis. The closer I got the larger the mantis became until it was towering over me and ate me.

My guess was that this was about a problem that I noticed among my whole family. It was happening among routine or habit- hence the busy traffic and the potential to overlook or crush the issue without recognizing it- I wanted to save or solve the problem while noticing no one else would do this with me in the process but it became so large the closer I got to trying that it swallowed me whole and I was powerless to stop it

Another nightmare I had back when I was a kid.
So this one is a sleep paralysis nightmare i once had and ill never forget,i was laying down in my bed and i figured out i couldn’t move and i was like “Naw this sh!t again”.So when ever i used to have these sleep paralysis dreams the sequence would always trigger whenever i used to blink for some reason idk maybe its like a secret cue for the demon to begin its 8 second nightmarish scare while those 8 seconds feel like hours.I blinked and like usual i just wanted the demon to get it over with you know demonic music playing,demon walks through the door slowly and comes up to my bed for a Jumpscare but no it was different…Way way different.So the demon was like this greenish,darkish nun kinda like the nun demon from the nun and it was walking up to my bed and I won’t forget she came up to my left side and I was looking at her up while she was staring at me downward.As soon as she was about to do the Jumpscare the music stopped and everything went quiet for a second with the demon saying and I Qoute”What was I supposed to say again” as I said “Barfatart” I don’t know what the hell that meant I thought and right ad I said that she puked all of the nasty stuff she had in her stomach right onto my face.This is one of the most nastiest and grotesque nightmares I’ve ever had.

If you ever think about ding dong ditching alone,DONT….EVER.
So I was in my mom’s apartment neighborhood outside by myself and it’s afternoon time and I decide to ding dong ditch because you know us kids have nothing else to do.As I knock on literally the first door I ran so I wouldn’t get caught because you know that’s the point of ding dong ditch you knock on the door and run away and either get a funny reaction or either hide away and venture off to the next door.Soon as I run I ran through the back of the complex of the apartments which is a wood area full of trees and stuff but my run turns into a blur and next thing you know I’m jumping on fences one by one leaping off of them in the snow and then suddenly,I hear a distant scream….Im still jumping and leaping on fences faster because I was like”Oh no it must be a angry old person who can’t take a ding dong ditch prank” but it wasn’t a old person and the screams got closer and closer and closer.I turn around to see who was behind me and this is the exact description from my nightmare,A early adult lightskin mixed male with a messy Afro,wide angry neon blue eyes, spitting from the mouth with saliva flying and more screaming.I woke up not scared but like”What the actual F***”.
So moral of the story,Don’t ever and I mean EVER ding dong ditch.

When I was a kid, I dreamt of this dog in a total black space. It was white with brown ears. Then it started to cry blood and its eyes became empty. Then it started getting closer, not walking, as if this picture started to occupy the entire visual and then its face occupied it and showed its teeth (not sure though) and it all started to become more and more creepy. I couldn't close my eyes and it was like I was forced to be tortured for eternity with this picture. In the dream I knew this was hell and the dog was saying "No dogs for [my name]". This left me creeped out but I really let it go, something I was incredibly good at as a child. I wonder what you all want to say about this because this was the creepiest nightmare I recall of that period.

I don't have dreams often, but when I do, they tend to be nightmares. And for whatever reason, most of those nightmares involve Sharks.

One of them is very simple and fast. It begins on some sort of wooden raft, adrift in the middle of an endless ocean. The sun is low on the horizon, low enough to bathe everything in gold. The water laps at the edges of the raft, which larger than you might expect. Not something the size of a mattress, but more the size of a bedroom. The calming late afternoon light, the gentle breeze, and the soft sounds of the water tempt me to peer over the edge of the raft.

Don't peer over the edge of the raft in this dream. That's what triggers it.

For a few seconds, there's nothing. Then I make out a shape deep below me. It's pale and indistinct for only a second or two, then I see what it is. A shark, speeding up at me from the depths. At first it's small, but as it closes the distance way too fast, I see that it's massive. Megalodon has nothing on it. Blue Whales have nothing on it. In moments it's there, breaking the surface, mouth gaping wide, there's no shredding of teeth or crushing of bone. Me, the raft, and much of the surrounding water all disappear inside.

Then I wake up.

I tend to quite enjoy my nightmares. I hate this one.

Part 1:

It was a gathering in my grandmother's house and we all were having great fun, it was already 2:34 am and almost everyone was awake, i needed to go to the bath room so i got to it, when i was outside the bathroom door, it wasn't opening, but after some struggling i opened it, and then i saw, A big creepy monster like slender man but with eyes and a weird mouth like the ones that the Endermans have in animated videos, I was really scared, i stared it for 3s and than ran away frim the bathroom and told my cousin about it, and he said: 𝙂𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙩 10 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙣𝙚, 𝙙𝙤𝙣𝙩 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙮.

I was shocked, but i waited 10 mins and then got into the bathroom cuz i really needed to use it, and there i see that same creature, But this time it came close to my mouth, I wanted to scream but i couldn't, my body wasn't in my control, it said: 𝙄 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙚𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙥𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪.

Then i ran away from the bathroom, got into the one on the other side of the house, and their i saw a 𝙔𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 ball on the groud, pretty small to be noticed but i still noticed it but I didn't do much about it. Then i went to bed and before sleeping I felt the sensation that it was watching me but i couldn't see it. (Now if you all say why you didn't get out of the house immediately its because my parents said we are already going home tomorrow so thats why i couldn't leave the house) Then the other day I came to know that, that thing eats humans casually and my family is pretty twisted but i didn't care about anything cuz i wanted to leave so badly, so we left my grandmothers house.

On our way home we stopped at a park, sat their to enjoy the view, I was tryiing to enjoy it but that things face in my head wasn't allowing me to enjoy, then my phone falls through a small area like beside the stairs and then i see the stairs leading infinitely, but whenever someone steps on it it becomes normal, so i knew if i go there ill be cooked so i asked my brother to pick up the phone for me and he did, then we got into the restaurant, and while we were eating food we met my little brothers friend's family, we talked a little bit than, we started to eat. Then i sense that feeling, the same feeling i got in the bathroom when i couldn't do anything, i tried to look behind me by moving my eyes slowly but there was nothing.

Then we start to travel towards our house and it was already night time, in the car my mom shows me a powder, she says it was in her bag and she doesn't know how the powder packet got in there, but like as she shows me the packet something goes up my spine,

But we eventually get home, and she puts that powder in the drainage, when i started to get ready for sleep i see that same creature, and then...

It starts to kill my family, and not eat them, i see all of it... in terror in fear but I couldn't move and after killing all of them it comes to me, and says in a distorted voice: It𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙮𝙚𝙩, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙢𝙮 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙮

And then it disappears and then I wake up....

Part 2:

Then i wake up and see my grandmother and my family members their, they just asked one thing: 𝙬𝙖𝙨 𝙞𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢

I said yes, then my grandmother walked out of that dark room and came in with a human sized 𝙮𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 ball, but this time it had legs and a face. (like put legs and hands and a face to a yellow ball with a black marker) He looked kinda funny but it was a serious situation, so she started to explain, she said: 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 3 𝙩𝙮𝙥𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙: 𝙄𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙠𝙞𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙣, 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙝𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙨 𝙙𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙡𝙮.

Hi! I, F22, i live with my boyfriend ,M22, both of us got given this house to us after his grandad passed away around November time, we were both incredibly sad as he was a lovely and amazing man. We’ve been living here for a few months and after beating and getting over our depressed states we have finally started the renovation and getting everything ready process. But we have started noticing things, foot steps running up and down the stairs, things go missing then resurface in random places we would never put them? Sometimes when i am home alone our lovely dog sits up and her ears perk up and she stares at a specific spot and growls like she can see or sense something that i cannot see, this frightens me quite a bit. This part is the part i am most scared of and have felt quite uncomfortable about, one night i had a nightmare, it was quite in depth and loud and i can remember it clearly as though it was real, i was small, walking around, when suddenly a hoard of cannibals chase me and i get eaten alive, it was so brutal, it felt so disgustingly real, as i was getting eaten alive i heard a phone ringing, but it was a specific ring tone, one id not heard myself before, it confused me, when i woke up from the nightmare i was gasping and i had tears running down my face, i am not big into horror and I also highly dislike gore, so the nightmare really got to me, when i checked the time it was around 4am, so i went back to sleep, when i woke up later in the morning, my boyfriend was already at work and i was chilling in bed playing with the dog when suddenly she sits up, her ears perk up, and i hear it too, a phone downstairs ringing, and no phone should be ringing as my boyfriend took his to work and mine was on the bed with me. When i listen closer it’s the same ring tone i heard in my dream the night prior, we do have my boyfriends grandads phone in the house, we kept it after he had passed away but we completely switched it off and left it off charge out of respect, so there was no way it could be turned on, i go downstairs to get a closer listen of the ring tone, i am a bit of a scaredy cat so i run back upstairs and ring my boyfriend, freaked out, he’s freaked out too. He comes home on his dinner break from work as his job is only a five minute walk away. He takes the phone out of the drawer and it is his grandads phone, ringing constantly, constant ringing, but it was switched off, we were both freaked out, we put it back in the drawer, this was a few months ago but it’s never happened again since. Any advice on what all of this could mean? I feel weird about it all

This felt like a movie to me but I woke up crying cause how sad it is..basically, it starts out with this monster made of ropes, and his leg is trapped in a bear trap, and he’s writhing on a floor-(this is clay mation btw) and then a girl comes up. (Idk who she represents?) and she helps him out, later, she and him wander off to a carnival, but the rope guy meets his mom, she gets mad, curses at him in Russian (which is something my parents did a lot so I fear this may represent something) then she grabbed him by his rope hair, swung him around like miss trunchbull and the girl with pigtails. And he got flung through the air onto the carnival floor (it was raining now) so..ground? The security guards came to check on him. Then he found this group of other rope people-so they took him to a giant indoor dollhouse to see what’s wrong with him. Because supposedly there’s a doctor. THEN, IT RANDOMLY CUT TO A SCENE OF ME RUNNING THROUGH MY EMPTY SCHOOL HALLWAYS BACK IN MIDDLE SCHOOL, and I had to do an outdoor class…? Then, it switched back to the rope guy. Then, they took him back to their home, they were all chilling in the living room. He got axe duty. So everyone panicked when a bird flew through the door, they all tried to convince him to slash the bird with his axe. But he didn’t want to hurt the bird, so he let it fly out, everyone was clearly pissed at him. Then, they all had an idea to massacre him. They all decided to go ‘mountain climbing’ so the rope guy was the one at the very end. And the two other ones in front were snickering, so then they suddenly dropped a bucket of water over the rope guys head. And he was like “FUCK WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING I’M GOING TO FALL!!!” And then they just snickered and high fived and continued on. They kept dumping water on him over and over, until eventually, he was like “PLEASEEEE GENUINELY I DON’T WANT TO DIEEEEEEE” so they snickered again, got an idea, and pulled him up the mountain. He thought he was being saved. He thought these were his real friends, but then, one of the guys made a random…toy? Kind of? He took dark pink pipe sticks, turned them to look like a stick figure. Then, put a random light pink/red paper heart shaped head on the top of it, and drew eyes and a mouth on it with marker. Since the rope guy was clueless. They told him “if you stay with this girl, we’ll come back.” The rope guy was oblivious. So he sat down on top of the tip of the snowy mountain, with his pipe stick friend next to him, as his other “friends” climb down the mountain and leave him. Never, to be seen..again. THE ENDDDDDD I REMEMBER THIS FULL DREAMMMM!!

So lately I've been having a reoccurring nightmare where I wake up in my apartment and everyone is gone. Usually I wake up before I can read the note left on the kitchen counter in said nightmare but last night it went further. Written in my fiances handwriting the note said:

"We are all tired and exhausted of you so we are leaving."

Everyone and everything was gone. The furniture, the food, my family. The only thing in the apartment was the bed I was sleeping in. I went running to try and find them. I would then wake up. Apparently I was tossing and turning which makes sense I guess. When I would finally fall back asleep I was back in that empty apartment. Alone.

Haven't been on this subreddit before, dont really do reddit in general but I was wondering if others have such dreams that feel so real. I woke up at 3:30 am from this dream:

I dreamt that my little girl cousin had gone missing while everyone was having a party at my house, for whatever reason there were actual drinks, my family doesn't drink and I think in this reality my little sister, Alishba, had been kidnapped before when she was little, shes know an adult but I kept flashbacking to how scared and guilty I felt that she had gone missing and just assumed the worst thoughts, but I guess we ended up finding my sister and she ended up okay, because she was in the room with me, I had no memory of finding her in the dream though.

Anyways I and a bunch of other aunts n uncles end up starting a search party, it was winter and it had snowed heavily, the only warm place was at home. Her name was kaylee she was about 7, I dont have a little cousin named kaylee irl but I had such real memories playing with her as a baby and taking care of her, what a sweet beautiful child so full of wonder and potential.

Anyways I end up looking everywhere and even in our basement and I find my mom sitting there against the wall crying bc I assume shes blaming herself. I end up comforting her with a hug and affirmation. I also ended up reading something that was on her phone that was placed on the floor. It looked like a support group for people that had either lost their children or had their children kidnapped. There were messages from her dating back several years talking about Alishba's kidnapping and other moms in it were comforting her but a few were implying it was my fault (the older brother); for not watching over her.

Anyways hours go by and its now night, everyone comes back to the house after not being able to find Kaylee, I end up getting very drunk and miserable out of guilt. And everyones watching me stumble over my feet and idiotically try to find my other shoe, noone helps me or notices me yet I feel their eyes "judging me like daggers", I had that thought in my dream specfically. I'm just there with such detailed blurred vision, trying not to cry my eyes out. I end up stumbling out of the house and going for a walk, I walk around drunk for a while, god what an awful feeling that I've never actually had in real life btw. This dream felt so fucking real, my guilt and sorrow felt so real.

I ended up heading back to the house and somehow ran into Kaylee and she was near the house kind of on the edge of the hill, (imagine the house is at the top of the hill). She was trying to lure another cousin to get closer to her? And this other cousin was kind of just staring at her down the hill. She said something like "well you need to open your eyes next", which I didnt really react to. I ran up to her and grabbed her hand to take her inside and she had slobber and drool all over her mouth and under her chin that I just thought nothing of, but looking back at it that was very strange. I guess I just felt such relief and started wiping her chin clean, I was like "oh my god Kaylee your parents were so worried where were you" And she said something so odd, she goes " Sami bhai (which means my name + big brother) they're so emotionally manipulative, you wouldnt believe it" and I go "what?? Tell me more about that", because this felt so out of character for her, they seemed such a happy healthy family, she doesnt answer.

Quick reminder that Kaylee does not exist, yet the memories and emotions felt so intertwined, my uncle is however real but in real life he instead has a son about the same age as Kaylee. We end up going inside and her dad, my uncle, sees me bring her in and he stares at her with such real emotion, a true disbelief. His look was something like: you had started to accept that you were never going to see your daughter again, but then shes magically in your eyesight and you have to reattach to her but you're worried it'll happen again. His eyes said all of that, she runs up to him and they hold each other.

I walked to a corner where Alishba, my sister, was bc I didnt want to like take credit for finding her or whatever, she was basically outside anyway and I didn't do much but it did feel a bit redeeming. I end up talking to Alishba and she says something along the lines of " How was it? Were you scared?" I go "yeah I was thinking about you actually", and Alishba quickly replies with "I know, I thought you would" with such a look saying: you dont have to worry about me anymore. I literally felt my face make that weird change where you are really on the verge of crying but you try not to explode in tears so ur face kinda contorts awkwardly and ur chin quivers if you know what im talking about. It was so real and specific, it could not have been just a dream, in what dream do you feel such raw and real emotion.

Anyways happyish ending, I wish the dream ended there though, we pan outside my body all of sudden, third person, the whole dream was in the pov of me like my eye vision. But all of a sudden its like we're in a movie in and we move outside the house and we cut to the neighbors house and its covered in snow. All of a sudden that classic horror music starts playing quietly but slowly getting louder like the violins that sound like they're dragging the strings violently against it, im sure you've heard it (found it: the intro to insidious). We cut to the neighbors backyard and in the snow are pikes with Kaylee's fucking head on it and it pans out and there are other children's heads, including Alishba's when she was a little girl. The music is so loud and I dont see anyone or know who was doing this but somehow they were dead and idek what that means for who we found and who or what Alishba is. I dont even want to think about the implications, god what an awful thought just an awful ending to a dream that I audibly said what THE fuck as I woke up from it. They're gory gory cut off heads looked so real, my sisters and a few others were grey and aged but Kaylee's was new. I hate my dreams so fucking much.

Hello everyone,

I literally just woke up from one of the scariest dreams I’ve had in a very long time. I’ve only had one other dream close to this that I will get into after. Basically it started out with my boyfriend and I in the car, were driving down the kind of road that has the mountain side/ hill of rocks to your right, and on the left it’s a steep slope full of trees and rocks. The road is empty and I get a call from one of my friends, he jokingly takes my phone and I try to reach for it.

His eyes are off the road and he swerves a bit, we hit the right side with the rocks and I guess we lose traction so the car is now going down the left at about 70 mph. I start screaming and all I can hear is my boyfriend screaming “we’re so f*cked, we’re going to die” and things like that. I however have my eyes squeezed super tight and I reach over and grab the sleeve of his shirt.

This is where it gets the worst. I am squeezing his sleeve and it’s so loud due to the car spinning and flipping down the mountain presumably hitting trees still and a fast pace, I start to feel his body be pulverized. I can feel the weight of him start to get lighter, I hear the cracking of bones, I hear the blood splatter while it hits my face and hands, parts of bone hitting me, until I’m no longer holding him, only the small bit of his sleeve I had grabbed onto. While this is happening I feel my body get super hot and I have this horrible pain and I know in the dream that I’m actively getting torn apart exactly how he did. I am no longer seeing black from me squeezing my eyes shut, it all snaps into white and I wake up. This happened in what felt like 6 seconds.

This is the first time in years that I’ve cried after a dream because of how scary it was, and I woke up with a aching chest where I couldn’t move for a minute while I process what I just dreamed about.

Now referencing what I said about another dream sort of similar I’ll quickly sum it up. I was at my parents house talking to my dad and I start hearing like an extremely loud plane, I look out the window and boom a huge explosion happens in the distance that shakes the ground. A nuclear war had broken out and the last thing I heard was my dad saying “it’s all over now, i love you, i’ll see you soon.” My guess is that now a bomb had dropped extremely close because again I squeeze my eyes shut and feel my skin burning and falling off and my body getting torn apart, losing my hearing and everything. Then again a flash of white and I wake up.

I’m wondering why the same thing happened where the feeling was the same, now shared, and both said something similar before I woke up. Let me know what you guys think or if you’ve had any similar dreams so I know I’m not crazy lol.

I had the scariest dream ever 😭😭😭I couldn't move at all, and my mouth was just stuck open. Then I started hearing these weird sounds that literally sounded like aliens or something. It felt so real that I was freaking out. When I finally woke up, my mouth was actually still open, and my body was twitching. I've never had something feel that real before, and it honestly scared me so bad

Not sure if anyone else has had this experience before

I had a nightmare that my ex’s parents died. His mom’s body was on the couch and the dad was on the floor. My ex couldn’t accept that both his parents died so he just let their bodies sit there. Eventually his mom’s body started decomposing into the couch and maggots started eating away at both the bodies. But my ex didn’t care, every time he saw a maggot he’d try to clean them up. To preserve his parents. So that they would never go away. Eventually it got to the point where cleaning the bodies was so unmanageable. The bodies were unrecognizable; the mom’s body had sunken into the couch and turned everything around it black and the dad’s body bursted open, revealing a thriving colony of maggots.

I work in a coffee shop. I keep having this nightmare every once in a while for a year now that we're shut or we didn't open yet but people keep coming despite me telling them its closed. They either stare at me waiting to be served or nod and sit down. And there's so many of them I cant physically kick them out.

Someone advised me visualising just going home and shutting the door down with or without people inside, but that doesnt sit with me well. Any advice?

I had a nightmare last night about going on my flight to Orlando and the plane trundling along for take off and me thinking I’m ok and going through all the steps and then it’s up and I’m like ok it’s going to feel like it’s dropping at 10k feet then it does. But the engines go silent and splutter and don’t start again.
Then I’m looking out the window and the plane is going nose down in the ground.
Then I’m somehow in a church crying over rescuing bodies.

I know it stems from something in my brain I’ve seen and been mixed up. It’s just upset me so much all day I don’t want to sleep tonight.

Not even flying till October.

For the record I haven’t had sleep paralysis in almost one year. Last night I had the most vivid and creepiest one yet. Usually when I get them it comes with difficulty breathing and black figures. Last night there was this 8-9ft pale grey female figure that looked to be naked. It was 3-4 feet from the foot of my bed. It had dark hollow eyes, no nose and a huge smile that stretched from ear to ear and long black hair.

Not only was its presence scary as shit. Its movement was creepy it seemed to be running in place but kept getting denied entry to my bed like as if there was a barrier stopping it. When my body was finally able to move I turned towards the wall way from looking at this creepy thing. After a few mins I mustered up the courage to look at the foot of my bed and it was gone. However it was only gone from that location it was now 3-4 feet at the side of my bed. This thing was so tall all I saw was its knees and thighs. Grey and I was afraid to look up at it. It started to do the same treadmill running motion.

I turned way towards the wall again and finally after a few mins the thing finally disappeared. In reality the whole thing last a few mins but if felt like a eternity I woke up later than usual still remembering that awful experience

There is not much to explain besides the obvious. I used to have nightmares probably once a week. As a child, I would have nightmares very often. I was terrified of the dark and even moving at night. As I grew older, I got less afraid, and the dreams stopped happening as often. Now I find that my nightmares are gone, and I feel longing for them. Since I began to get over my fear, my nightmares have not been very scary. I would feel very minor fear, no matter the situation. I would usually have nightmares with some sort of monster or creature. In the most recent nightmare I had (a few months ago), I ended up chasing the "monster" myself. I don't know if they can be considered full nightmares since I do not feel terrifying fear, but the themes I believe classify them as nightmares. Has anyone else had an issue like this? I'm not sure why I miss them; I just feel that I do now that they are gone.
