no man's land, belongs to fable of an inner world Series, oilsand charcoal, 2026
Inspired by a dream-like fantasy medieval concept series I have been working on about escapism, wondering in a strange world trying to find peace. Showing the physical contrasts of stick oils on heavy paper along with the scratches of razor blades and hard black charcoals, allows me to deepen my compositions and carry through the emotional weight of my process.

Realized some of my stuff fits the vibe here!
I use art to process my emotions, almost exclusively. First image is painted on the surface of an Ikea end table- made during a major life transition. I honestly don't remember the circumstances of the second image.. a diary entry of sorts.
The third image... Ok.
** TW for violence**
I used to work in a prison and we were locked down for several hours that day because an inmate was unalived via.. pencil in the ear. Yeah. The nurse that responded to the incident was my friend and we were often in the office alone together, working Sundays. He came back shell shocked. I didn't see him for a few weeks. I made that piece in response to the intensity of it all.
