A lot of people would agree that Ino should have won her fight against Sakura. So she actually wins.

There is the 3 way bracket (Dosu vs Shikamaru) vs Temari, right.

1a: Do Ino vs Temari, we get Ino vs Temari and Shikamaru vs Dosu. From there they do Temari vs Ino (an actual match) and Shikamaru wins by Dosu no show (like how Gaara almost won his battle with Sasuke).

1b: Do Ino vs Temari, we get Ino vs Temari and Shikamaru vs Dosu. From there they do Temari vs Ino (an actual match) and also an actual match of Shikamaru vs Dosu. In this case Dosu flees successfully after his fight with Gaara, however he does not return to Orochimaru becuase Dosu has sustained injuries from his battle with Gaara barely escaping. He shows up for his fight, (while Orochimaru thinks Gaara offed him). The battle goes the same Dosu has the upperhand for a brief moment before Shikamaru catches him but runs out of chakra and surrenders. Dosu wins. From there Orochimaru attacks and the whole battle with Hiruzen happens. Dosu already questioning Orochimaru sending him to d-e against Gaara, sees how Orochimaru k-lls Kin and Zaku to summon Hashirama and Tobirama. Completely breaking his trust. From there he becomes the opposite of Kabuto. He lives to take revenge on Orochimaru one day and we see his progress as a side character.

2a: Temari faces Shikamru and their battle goes the exact same way, while Ino faces Dosu. In this scenario he wins, albeit injured, as Ino is not the strongest and she has already cut her hair. From there Orochimaru attacks and we get the same events form 1b.

2b: Temari faces Shikamru, their battle goes the same way. Ino faces Dosu but this time she wins because he barely escaped Gaara. She catches him with her mind transfer and he wakes up at the hospital wing during the Orochimaru fight, goes to search for him finding the bodies of Kin and Zaku. From there he turns on Orochimaru and becomes the opposite of Kabuto. (Ino vs Temari does not happen as Orochimaru has struck)
-Ideally Id pick this option because it will showcases all 4 characters. Shikamaru outsmarting Temari but her doing well in the fight and winning. Ino gets some love and gets another win. Dosu survives and gets his revenge/redemption story.

3: Temari vs Shikamaru, battle goes the same way. Ino vs Dosu doesnt happen. Dosu no shows because Gaara, k-lled him. And Ino wins by no show. From there you dont have to justify her somehow winning again without her chakra rope of hair trap as that arguably a one time trick. (Ino vs Temari does not happen as Orochimaru has struck)

Not a single pain could inflict any damage on Jiraiya during the fight head to head. It was only a sneak attack from a revived Pain that took out his hand. If Jiraiya had known just one ability - the ability to bring the dead back - the pain would have been defeated. Their attacks were not even close to being dangerous

You don’t have to love him but to say he didn’t care for team 7 or was just an “edge lord” is blatant lies and its annoying because people have been lying about the same things for years

Also the glaze Itachi gets even though he’s arguably 10x edgier and much more destructive is insane
They hate this character because he has agency and actually somewhat understandably became a villain which is something this fandom drools over for Naruto or Kakashi

Kisame died thinking Itachi was a cold blooded psychopath who murdered his entire clan just to test himself.

Kisame himself killed his comerades but he always thought Itachi was even worse than him.

In part 1, Orichimaru summons 3 Hokage’s to fight Hiruzen: 1st, 2nd, and 4th.

He panics at the site of the 4th and goes out of his way to stop the 4th from being summoned at the cost of letting 1st and 2nd get summoned (which is funny considering the boost Hashirama got in Shippuden, but that’s not what I wanted to discuss)

We know from Shippuden that Minato was sealed in the shinigami belly since he used the reaper death seal (like Hiruzen) on half of the ninetails. This means that much like Orichimaru’s arms until the war arc, there was no way to summon him as his soul wasn’t in the afterlife.

Which means Orichimaru couldn’t summon him in part 1. Obviously this is a retcon, Kishimoto didn’t intend for Minato to be in shinigami jail during that fight… it does make me wonder what the in-universe explanation is though?

Did Orichimaru know that he couldn’t summon the 4th? Was it a bluff? Did Hiruzen do shit to stop the summoning since it wasn’t going to go off anyways?

Is it possible that the stolen Byakugan of Ao from Hidden Mist he gotten from the 3rd Shinobi War is from the One-eye Byakugan, Mukai Kohinata mentioned in Itachi Shinden: Book of Bright?

In the novel, Mukai had fought Itachi and Shisui during Itachi's entrance exam into the ANBU Black Ops. And Ao seems familiar with Shisui Kotoamatsukami chakra signature during 5 kage summit, when Danzo use that jutsu to control Mifune

Thoughts on Himawari not having the unique appearance of the Byakugan eyes when not activated

Mukai Kohinata in the Itachi Shinden Novels, is also a mix blood Hyuuga, but he got 1 Byakugan Eye and 1 normal eye, unlike of Himawari normal eyes that can go Byakugan

I don't remember if there was a reason or if it was just Hiruzen and his bad advisors' judgment. Orochimaru was already an infamous criminal at the beginning of Naruto Part 1. And he was a Sanin. So why did they take the risk to keep it going, despite knowing the exams weren't safe enough to even keep a criminal from sneaking in?

I know that this is canonically impossible, but just for hypothetical sake, let's say Sasuke still has his curse mark and Orochimaru absorbed after fighting Itachi. How much better does he preform against Killer Bee and how much better does Sasuke do in the 5KS arc ?

Because if I recall…I saw Kakashi about to lift his headband up to reveal his sharingan…did Kakashi believe he was strong enough to put 80k shinobi under genjutsu??? Or was he just going to put the few that were arguing under it???

So I started Shippuden about a week ago and I was delighted to see my favorite villain return as Kazekage. At first I was like “where’s this going?” Then the Akatskui showed up and he had his big fight, he was taken out and I was pretty sad but he sure as hell went out swinging. Then Naruto and Sakura did their thing yada yada yada and, Oh no. Gaara is dead. Then Lady Chiyo revived him and she died and I was pretty sad about that too, but seeing how happy everyone was to see that he’s okay was just so heat warming. And then when he let Lady Chiyo’s corps go first into the village and she got a salute from the sand village that got me.

Can’t wait to see him again!
