I was only around 10 years old during the 2012–2013 season, so I basically only witnessed the final chapter of his career. I remember watching Kobe, but I was too young to fully understand just how massive his presence was in the NBA.

For those of you who watched Kobe during his prime, especially from the early 2000s to the early 2010s, what was it like? Was he really that guy where every game felt like an event? How big was Kobe to the Lakers and to basketball culture in general?
