Yes, I am aware that her results and speed have regressed since last season. However I’m a believer that she has the talent, and that things are just not falling into place this season.

She has plenty of ARCA experience at this point, 36 races with 23 top 10s and plenty of top 5s. She has contended for wins.

I don’t think this seasons results should depict her future. Some people are great in ARCA and don’t do well afterwards, some people don’t show speed in ARCA and excel outside of it.

If she’s given the opportunity and it doesn’t work out, at least Toyota can say they tried, but now even Boschele is getting his opportunity first, with way less experience.

Curious if anyone has insight on the parking situation at IRP. Haven’t been there before and I have included it as part of my Brickyard weekend for the first time this year. I don’t see anywhere online to prepay for parking, and we probably won’t be getting there until about 15-30 mins before the truck race starts. Any advice would be appreciated!

So this is an edited version of a post where I was being dumb and didn't even think of it until the comments pointed it out so with that in mind with some help of the comments section I've thought of a way to sharpen up the schedule a bit.

I heard a great point by Eric Estepp that bringing so many of these races to one a year makes each one feel more unique. It really made me think because I've been watching since 2006, and it used to be a bit of a slog with things like 2 Michigan races, 2 Pocono races, 2 Texas races etc. Most of these tracks having one race made this summer so far feel more refreshed to me than it has in some time, so with this in mind I thought of a possible schedule fix in regards to Dover, North Wilkesboro, and Charlotte, and it goes as follows:

Get rid of fall Vegas, I can't believe it took Reddit comments to remind me but Vegas actually is one of the monotonous races that maybe shouldn't happen twice a year

You keep North Wilkesboro as a points race because I think it's earned it imo, you move Dover to the fall Vegas date because of the history with Jimmie Johnson's Dover dominance and plenty of highlight reel moments, and you put the All-Star Race at Charlotte again.

Having the All-Star at Charlotte is a perfect precursor and even practice in a way to build hype for the Coke 600 and continues to make that a marquee race

And by having the fall Vegas spot open for Dover again that both solves the problem of not having a Dover points race, and also keeps North Wilkesboro a points race and makes it it's own unique race as well.

Lmk what you think of this possible schedule change, and if you agree and think this should happen next year or if I'm way off base, but I figured I'd put the thought out there and maybe it could happen!

North Wilksboro was probably one of SVG's best oval performances. I don't know how he's performed at other short tracks but maybe Bristol or Martinsville are good opportunities for him.

Any shot Logano can equal Blaney's success. If so, he can still win it, imo

I wish the TV side of things would show the importance of communication between the driver, CC, and spotter to the casual fans out there during the broadcast. Some think it's just driving in circles with nothing else to it.

Denny Hamlin is one of the successful drivers in Nascar, but the only track he has not won it yet. It is Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

In 2018, Hamlin was come close winning at Indy, but then a late caution gave Brad Keselowski a win over him.

In 2020, Hamlin has the dominant car, He has come close, winning with only six laps to go, but then a tire failure sent him into the wall.

In 2021, Hamlin was close winning the 2021 Verizon 200, Then he was caught up in a late wreck with Chase Briscoe ending his hopes of winning.

This is like Larson at ANY drafting track

Are there any updates to this? There were multiple withdraws from this race, and some of the series' best haven't returned to the Whelen Modified Tour.

Justin Bonsignore: 4x champion, 4x runner-up, 2nd most wins all time, 246 starts.

Ron Silk: 2 x Champ, 2x runner-up, 8th most wins, 282 starts.

Others that have been away from the series since; Craig Lutz 158 starts, Dave Sapienza 127 starts, Kyle Bonsignore 112 starts.

Side note, I did see Bonsignore and Silk racing in the Monaco Modified Series, and their extended race highlights on Youtube are great.

I made did some stats stuff and came up with a stats that I am affectionately calling the “team average finish delta” it is simply how the difference in average finish of a driver to the rest of their team, which seems to be a good way of judging who’s over and underperforming

Cruise is on board to star in the follow-up to his 1990 racing drama and is producing with Jerry Bruckheimer, one of the producers of the original. The feature is intended to be Cruise’s next production.
Paramount’s tapping of Levine, whose deal is in the midst of negotiations, is a strong vote of confidence in Mr. Irrelevant, its upcoming sports drama that Levine helmed. That movie, which stars David Corenswet and has a prime Christmas Day wide release, has been hitting stratospheric highs during test screenings earlier this spring

On "Hauler Talk," @mforde weighs in on the "regular season champion" discussion:

"Here's where NASCAR stands, in a way: I don't think we care what anyone calls it, really. We're not going to call it the 'regular season champion,' we're not going to call it 'playoffs' and that comes from feedback from the playoff committee."

Forde notes @markmartin brought up that in racing, the competitors don't "play" and so "playoffs" isn't an appropriate term, and Forde said fans agree: they don't love any term that has anything to do with "playoffs" vernacular.

Forde: "Regular season champion -- there's only one champion per season and that's the one who takes home the big trophy. So don't need that anymore either."

He goes on to confirm there's not going to be a regular season trophy anymore. NASCAR is just calling that person the "No. 1 seed" rather than "regular season champion."

(Side note: Forde then directly addresses @TravisRockhold and says "Call it whatever you want, Travis. I'm good. Whatever you want!")

I was listening to DJD this morning and at about the 1:12:30 mark Dale was talking to Marcus Smith about SMI's recent investment CARS Tour. Marcus asked Dale what some of the feedback has been and he said "well people just assumed that welp they are going to race Bristol, they are going to race Rock.....they're going to go to all your racetracks and start racing." It could've been Dale just slipping up but it felt like maybe he knows something we don't yet, and caught himself.

RIP Nascar on NBC, you were marginally better of the two legacy networks.
