I love Nintendo pins , specifically mario/dk and anything that is other game titles but has a Nintendo logo ! Very passionate about what I've managed to accumulate
UPDATE : thanks for the warm reception from mostly everyone! (Some people haters no matter what but thankfully so miniscule )! Some thoughts i wanted to share. Some of the most difficult to obtain naturally were years of service pins and internal employee pins , things never meant for the public. On top of that another difficult category are employee pins but from other regions!
Modern day pins make an exception from time to time , such as a Nintendo invite only event to media influencers that handed a swag bag with a pin(DK). Or one of my new favs, South America theatre exclusive mario galaxy pins (not the Luma blind bags).
As far as completion goes , for the older obscure pins , Employee , years of service, i reckon i have about 75 - 80 % of them . There's definitely a finite amount, and not all years of service ran a full course of say 15 years (some were just a few specific years) .
Modern pins , given at events , cons , game preorder , or online exclusive , have overall been fairly easy to get for the most part.
And there are some oddball choices I made in not collecting specific modern pins such as PowerA blind box series...dunno why :D
As far as where my collection ranks among others .. I know of at least 2 other pin collectors who have a large amount like myself , the gap widens from people who have a small to medium pool to those who are "end game" sized collections . So assuming there are a handful more people undiscovered of their pin collections , I'd rank myself at top 5 easy , given the amount of years of service pins, internal pins, region exclusives, and special promo event promos.
To really tell we would all have to compare photos and cross out matching pins and see who comes out ahead with the remainder I guess lol.
