I cycle and got curious how cities actually looks from a bike saddle, so I built this: every street scored by cycling risk. Red = dangerous, green = fine. The score comes from things like bike infrastructure (or the lack of it), speed limits, one-way streets and how bad the intersections are.

Some things surprised me — a few streets everyone treats as normal routes come out deep red, and some boring side streets are basically the safest way across the city.

But I don't ride in Munich every day, and no dataset beats local knowledge. So I'm curious: which street is colored wrong? Which ones do you avoid on instinct that the map thinks are fine? Which "dangerous" ones are actually okay in practice?

I know it’s be different for a trained professional vs a student etc. a baby vs multiple kids etc but just trying to figure out what I should expect to pay for my 10 month old daughter. I’ve looked on other sites but it doesn’t seem realistic given how expensive Munich is.

Sorry if this isn’t a “Munich” post but it’s Munich specific given the cost of living here. Parents what do you pay? Babysitters what do you ask!

Ich brauche zehn O Ring Dichtungen mit 7mm Innendurchmesser. Leider gibts in den Baumärkten nur Dichtungen für Badinstallationen, da ist das Maß nicht dabei. Beim Kustermann war ich auch schon. Im Internet gibts halt immer nur gottlose Großpackungen. Also, wo gibt's in München noch nen Laden, wo man so was in kleine Stückzahlen bekommt?

I'm backpacking through Europe this summer and will be taking the train from Vienna to Munich. My plan is to leave Vienna early in the morning, spend most of the day somewhere in the mountains, and then continue on to Munich later that evening.

I'm looking for a town that's:

• On (or not too far from) the Vienna–Munich rail route (I'm okay with taking a short regional train if it's worth it)
• Surrounded by beautiful mountains
• Has a lake that's good for swimming
• Not overly touristy
• Has a relaxed vibe where I could rent a bike, ride around, grab lunch, and just enjoy the scenery

I know I'm kind of asking for the best of both worlds, a place that's easy to reach but also feels like a hidden gem, but I figured if anyone knows, it's this community.

Does a town like this exist? I'd love to hear any recommendations, especially if you've stopped somewhere similar on this route. Thanks!

Ich bin neu her gezogen und suche ein Piercingstudio in der Gegend um Maxvorstadt. Ich finde auf Google viele tattoostudios, und die meisten Rezensionen beziehen sich auf das tattoowieren, statt auf das piercen.

Ich will aber unbedingt zu einem vertrauenswürdigen piercer, weil ich da einmal schon schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht habe.

I have already tried:

- sauna at therme erding, an aufguss was amazing and for me very relaxing as the park allows me to wear a swimsuit.

- Beer garden. Tried 3 or 4 beer with schnitzel, currywurst, and roast pork.

- Kebab

- Deutsch Museum

- going to visit Saltzburg

What else should I do to fully enjoy the city?

I feel so stupid writing this post, but I feel like I’ve gone to so many stores (such as TK Maxx, decathlon, H&M, depot) and I can’t seem to find beach towels anywhere! Only bath towels… I know, they’re easy enough to order online but we’re in the process of moving places so I’d rather purchase in person. Does anyone have any suggestions of stores or specific locations? x
