Question Anyone here own a CFMoto 675 SR-R ?

Just wondering if anyone owns one can give me some owners insight to the bike? Positives and negatives ? I’m considering buying one a secondary runaround fun bike but want to hear first if they give hassle or maybe if better to look towards another brand. The price is what’s drawing me in to want it.

Folks, looking for some motorbike trip recommendations from Co.Kildare? Wicklow has been my go-to for a spin, but would love to explore some new routes with nice towns, decent cafƩ or lunch stops, along the way. Any favourite loops, please recommend. Thanks!!

Safest way to sell?

Hi guys, without getting too deep into it, I am in a small bit of financial bother and unfortunately I have to make some sacrifices and the bike is one of those. I'm very worried about putting it on DoneDeal due to the rampant thieves. The shop I bought it from will sell on my behalf but of course will take a cut.

Do I have any other options? Thanks in advance!

Having had this bike a month and only doing about 600kms on it I was deeply annoyed by a multitude of things.. ended up gutting her on the bench.. ridding of the cats by means ofa set of downpipes, an ecu flash, 3d printed a battery box due to the Lithium ion one being half the size and rattling around. A tail tidy while keeping the oem indicators, evap delete and the flapper valve mapped out and rid of..

Stock shock ended up getting tossed for a saucy wilbers unit, took off the passenger rail and footpegs and tidied up the back end.. scored an ixil exhaust off DoneDeal for a few quid.. she needs a good dyno run to sort out some hesitant spots but shes a new bike again..

Had a nice blast around West Cork today and she is nearly there.

Question Kawasaki EL250 Fuel Tank

Is there anyone who has a kawasaki EL 250 Fuel tank or other parts they'd be willing to sell? My friend came back with two barn finds and after asking to store them in my shed, offered me one, but the tank is in shit, its completely rusted and theres even calcium build up on the cap. Please message on details if you have one to sell or if you have any idea of how I could clean out the rust in the one we have that'd be great.

Side note: we put petrol into the tank just to see if she runs (she does), but we took the tank off afterwards and there was a crunching sound from all the rust. Thanks in advance

Question Concerns regarding bike purchase in Dublin

Hey everyone,

A little while ago I posted asking for advice on what category of licence and bike I should go for, and I just wanted to say thanks again. The advice I got was incredibly helpful this community is genuinely brilliant.

That said, after spending more time reading through posts on here, I had no idea motorcycle theft was such a massive issue. It's honestly made me question whether buying a bike is even worth it.

For a bit of context, I live in an apartment complex in Tallaght, Dublin, near The Square. I have a dedicated space in an underground residents' car park. The only thing I'd be able to chain the bike to is a metal fence, and there are already a few bikes parked there, chained up and fully covered.

The downside is that it's completely out of sight and there's no mobile reception underground. The only real positive is that the garage is locked from 10:30 pm until 5:30 am. My car is parked there too, and access is through a barrier that opens via number plate recognition. It's a paid car park for cars, but bikes can park there for free.

From the recommendations I received, the Yamaha Tracer 7 really seemed to tick all the boxes, especially as I'm quite tall. But after reading all the theft stories, I'm starting to have second thoughts. I'm happy to spend whatever it takes on security quality chains, locks, a tracker, alarm, cover, whatever gives it the best chance. My biggest concern is that Tallaght doesn't exactly have the best reputation for bike theft, and bikes like the Tracer or anything that looks sporty seem to attract the wrong kind of attention. At the same time, I don't really want to buy a bike I don't actually like just because it's less likely to be stolen.

I've also been looking at the Kawasaki Vulcan S 650, partly because it's a cruiser and I was wondering if that might make it less appealing to thieves. The Triumph Tiger Sport 660 has also caught my eye.

I'm definitely still planning to do my theory test, IBT. It's just that the excitement of finally buying the bike I wanted has taken a bit of a hit. I'm not talking about jumping straight onto a BMW or some €20k machine the Tracer 7 was simply the bike I was most excited about.

I'd really appreciate hearing from those of you with more experience.

Sorry for the long post.

Thanks. šŸ™šŸ»

M9 toll - will they come looking for me

Got myself an easytrip tag for the bike last week and first time use jt was on the m9 yesterday. Its stuck under the windscreen. Visible and hideous which i will need to figure out but it was supposed to do for now.

So onto my story. Approached the toll yesterday, accidentally went to the car only lane if that matters. Gluasrothair popped up on the payscreen and I couldn't hear if the tag beeped or not. The barrier went up but the light didnt go green. I just assumed it was ok to go but now I dont know.

Does this sound normal or have I fucked up? I pay my tv licence, I never get caught speeding, I dont want a criminal record 😨

Anyone doing Deliveroo on a 125cc bike or scooter in Belfast?

Hi everyone.
I’m thinking about getting a 125cc bike or scooter (something like a Honda PCX, Yamaha NMAX or similar) to do Deliveroo in Belfast.
I used to do Deliveroo in Dublin on two wheels, and it was definitely worth it. Since moving to Belfast, I’ve noticed there don’t seem to be many riders using 125cc bikes or scooters, so I’m wondering if there’s a reason for that.
Is it still worth it financially? Roughly how much can you make per week? Are there any downsides, such as insurance costs, safety, demand, or weather, that make people choose cars instead?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone with first-hand experience. Thanks!

Where can I get new tyres fitted!?

Hello folks, bought a 2009 BMW F650GS a few months ago. I’ve just passed the driving test a few days ago and now planning a longer trip for a day or two on the Atlantic coast.

Bike needs a new tyre as the one on it seems to be way older like over 5-8 years. Worked fine for practicing and local rides but I don’t want to go any longer in them.

Anyone know where can I get a new tyre fitted in and around Galway!? I can source them and also if required I can take out the wheels and bring them to the fitter. I know there are two shops - Ivors and another independent mechanic but they’re all very busy and won’t take anything for next while.

Asked a couple of tyre shops around and they don’t want anything to do with bike tyres. 😐

As a last resort I can try fitting myself but I’d have to buy tools. also I don’t think I can balance the wheels myself.

Question Been thinking of getting into motorbikes

I've been a lurker of the sub for a while now and been watching videos of motorbikes but have no actual experience being on one. I was wondering if there's anything I should know or be careful of before getting into riding motorbikes. I just want to make sure I'm being safe and not doing something stupid

One thing I should also mention is the kind of bike styles I like are cruiser type bikes
