Character Analysis How would you morally rank Papa Louie?

Post image
Upvotes

The upsides: He's a pretty active man, and has saved his customers on more than one occasion. He runs a lot of really popular, really successful businesses, which seem to have positive reception among the crowd, given how excited people can get for them. He's also shown occasionally giving some rather nice benefits to his employees, up to buying them their dream job for instance (Bakeria), as well as seemingly helping in retrieving someone's stolen band equipment (Cheeseria)

The downsides: A lot of his business practices can feel rather shady. He'll often toss employees, often with very little experience, into the job and never seem to actually provide any help, to the point that, despite his name being on the restaurant, Papa's barely even a chef, all while likely collecting a good deal of the profit. It doesn't help that the way he can hire people can be pretty shady as well, from handing jobs to people who seem outright desperate and likely won't be able to say no up to just forcing a uniform into the hand of someone who crashed their car into his (Cupcakeria) and making someone work for them just because they found their lost pet (Pancakeria)

It's also debatable if people are even allowed to quit these sorts of jobs. Even when Papa gets them a brand new store of their own, or when they can just seemingly get back to their rock band, they can still end up behind the counter. This one is up for debate though, since we don't really have any concrete idea how the employees themselves feel about it

Who's More Evil? Who's ideology was more evil and horrific? Homelander's or Thragg's? Again just their ideals

Homelander: "To the non believers and backstabbers. To such heretics I offer oblivion. And to those who seek to destroy me. You will die the most horrible of deaths. As befits your wickedness. My reign will last forever and when this world is cold and dead I shall remain eternal.

Thragg: "These creatures. Their strength is not true strength. We must educate them not because of their defiance. But because their very existence is an insult to the natural order of the universe. Argall showed us the way. All is ours."

I'm kinda neutral on this one. I think the guy probably deserved some kind of disciplinary action but this seems more like retaliation. I wouldn't punish either after the fact though and hopefully the initial kid who got knocked out learned a lesson.

Morality Of Creating An Subreddit With Great Idea But Moderating It So Poorly That It Just Becomes Another Circle Jerk Sub?

It might be directed at mods but i'm not sure the morality of it so let's say that it is not

Look i like "morality of eating a lolipop" as much as a next guy but I think we should create separate subreddit for that matter and enforcing a bit stricter rules about this one because once in a while we should see actual moral discussions too

Ordering Ice King to freeze over the Fire Kingdom core and stealing the Fire Kingdom’s weapons... killing hundreds if not thousands of the fire citizens weakened by it. (Mass murder and political terrorism)

Killing nearly all of the Rattleballs despite the fact that they were showing clear signs of sentience and free will (genocide, infanticide since they were technically her children)

Getting Flame Princess put in a jar for 14 years when she was a baby. (Child abuse, including endangerment).

Created a mutant clone of hers that nearly took free will from everyone, and it was based on her psychi, so it's something she has thought about doing (unethical experimentation)

She digs the corpses of people to experiment on so (desecration)

She had cameras that were shattered all over Ooo, not to mention GPS attached to her citizens and even Finn, who wasn't even part of the Candy Kingdom. (Illegal surveillance and abuse of power)

She's indirectly responsible for some of what Lemongrab had done due to creating him, despite him being past that by this point.

She stole Finn and Jake's treasure under the excuse of it being taxes, despite them not residing in the Candy Kingdom. (Theft and false intentions)

She imprisoned all of the citizens and even Finn and Jake at Tree Trunks' wedding due to the King of OOO, despite the fact that he showed the correct papers for him being able to do the wedding. (Tyranny)

She also broke into the King of OOO's house to try and get these papers. (Home invasion)

And that's just from the top of my head, she's a ticking time bomb.

Morality Ranking Do you believe individuals who have taken a life (or multiple) are still entitled to a funeral and/or a burial site?

Post image
Upvotes

Not in the ‘self-defense’ sort of way, but in the ‘I enjoy this’ type of way. For example; serial killers. They have no motive for what they’re doing other than causing as much pain and misery as humanly possible to innocent civilians, and ‘get off’ to the cries of the victims family and community.

Do you believe people like that deserve a normalized funeral or bare-minimum a burial site? There’s no true ‘right answer’ to such a question, as one side may say that by killing innocents, that person lost their right to societal respect and a proper send-off. On the other side, some may say that every human is entitled to a funeral, despite the heinous things they did in life, and that we shouldn’t punish the family for the perpetrators actions. Is it immoral to deny a murderer a proper funeral or is it within the legal and moral right of the victim(s) family to toss the perpetrator away like trash?

FYI; Image is not related.

Morality Ranking How acceptable is it to kill the hero if he's terrible?

Upvotes

All discourses about Rudeus (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation. ) made me wonder, Is it justified to kill/seriously disable/ imprison for life awful person if we know that they will save the world/town/country one day? It's only partly about Rudeus, since, from time to time, I keep seeing awful "hero" MCs that do genuinely terrible things but are never punished for that. "Awful things" include but are not limited to: torture, physical/emotional abuse, slavery, brainwashing, rape, grooming, killing innocent people, stealing from innocent people("I stole all your money and now your family will starve" kind), kidnapping, framing innocent people, destroying random property (like a whole damn city) for fun, etc. After all, we could , theoretically, try to look for the other ways to save said world, while also punishing "hero" for being awful, right?(But it also might not work). What about "chosen one" scenario, then? We also should keep in mind that after saving the world, said hero is unlikely to reform, so they'll probably continue their immortal ways after saving the world.

So, to summarize: is it more moral to "sacrifice" unknown number of innocent people to the hero, so that he/she could save the world, or to punish hero and try to seek other solution, that might not work? Obviously, we are talking about genuinely terrible "hero" who repeats his/her actions over and over without being forced to do so, not "he stole candy from the shop once" situation.

You have to choice to choose where the water floats:

- Choice one: let the water flow to the stinkers who cannot use the water without making it popo and kakies. After that the clean people would use that water and 20% dies every year because of it from them(a lot of people are in both sides).

- Choice two: let it flow to clean people who wouldn't be able to make it go to stinkers, making them die [Fuck you Yuta] all at once, whipping them out.

How Evil Are They? What is the morality of being in a relationship with a MONSTROUS, DISGUSTING, and ANIMALISTIC creature... that still completely passes the Harkness Test?

Post image
7 Upvotes

Let's suppose there is a creature with a monstrous appearance and very animalistic behavior. Despite that, it passes every Harkness Test, demonstrating that it is capable of understanding, giving informed consent, and making rational decisions.

In that case, do you think it would still be morally acceptable if it retained instinctive, aggressive, and somewhat brutal behavior? Would that change the morality of being in a relationship with it?

How Justified would Aliens be on Hating The Human Race?

Let’s be real Humanity sucks is a famous quote that everyone is familiar with as Human History of course often highlights Humanity’s Cruelty combined with the fact that it’s always the worst Humans Ever to get in charge of everything making the World suffer more than it already has along with of course Greed and everything else Humans are often are viewed and hated as the Most Evil Species of all time! Because of that naturally one would of course naturally assume if Advanced Intelligence Aliens were to stumble upon Earth they would hate Humanity for everything but do you think Aliens are justified in hating the Human Race if not why? Let me know in the comments
