I haven’t read much moon knight because I want to read the stories in time line order but I do own a big chunk of the comics including this one which I did read being that it’s a “non canon” anthology. What did you guys think of it?

I watched the moon knight tv show and absolutely loved it. I read a few comics so I decided to read some Moon Knight comics. I've heard people say how good Moon Knight: Fist Of Khonshu is. Could I start with that? Or should I read something else first?

Associated Khonshu with violence protection isn’t inaccurate but Serkhmt and Horus have far more association with vengeance

As in help the CIA to destabilize Latin American countries. This was all Marc. No Khonshu there.

Khonshu is bad but I don’t think he’s want Marc to help the CIA grow cheap bammas in Latin America.

Marc devoted himself to Khonshu because he wanted to make amends for his crimes.

Of course sometimes Lhonshu is a part of Marc as a fictive alter. And represents his worse traits and self hatred. But even then the Marc part can be evil.

Khonshu relationship with Moon Knight is deeply fucked up and abusive. But it’s not like Marc is an innocent victim.

Jake and Steven were first created because he wanted to be a better person. Jake and Steven often act to Temper Marc

Khonshu started as a cannibal figure who butchered lesser gods to the pharaoh

That might sound super messed up but symbolic cannibalism is part of many different cultures including Catholicism.

Latter Khonshu was associated with fertility and healing. Which fits him resurrecting Marc repeatedly

Early myths refer to him as Khonsu who lives on hearts and it seems that Ammit latter took on the role which is interesting given how she’s the antagonist of the Disney Plus series
It seems Moon Knight depicts him more into early
Myths as a vicious force seeking vengeance like his early incarnation and Less of his latter healing powers.

He doesn’t seem like he was associated much with mental health or madness Bes and Taweret: where associated with healing and disability. With Bes being depicted with dwarfism. But other cultures did associate the moon with madness. I get the Vengance association it makes some sense but Vengance was more associated with Serkemt and Horus who avenged his uncle.

This is for those gods and goddesses of canon out there. If Zodiac wanted to hire a magic user with a grudge against Marc for his stupid yandere plans, is there somebody who could fit the bill?

I'm writing fanfiction (or trying to) and I want to dump Marc in a pocket dimension. It has been decorated as a cheap and tacky knockoff Midnight Mission. Steven thinks that Zodiac is involved and Marc is yelling at walls trying to guess who is doing it and goad them into revealing their plan.

ETA: Marc decided to ignore what I wanted him to say and just insult the hell out of "Zodiac" and leave the big brain thinking to Steven. Thanks to everyone who suggested somebody.

I've only seen one picture of moonknight as the bohemian rhapsody cover and it needs to done more cause it's literally so perfect for them

I heard Hurston started the adversarial relationship with Khonshu and Marc. But it started in West Coast Avengers where Khonshu manipulated Marc into joining and then l coinhabit his body because he wanted to cosplay as a superhero. It seems that Khonshu liked to live through Marc as a superjero
