Is there a lore reason why the social structure is so heavy in favor of women to the point of how arrogant they become because of it being a world where "women have all the power" when the Holtfort *King*dom is a standard patriarchy? Or is it just "because otomei game"/ author didn't think it through?

Because it feels like such a contradiction the moment you try to think about the plot as a whole.

N.B: THIS APPLIES TO AND BASED HEAVILY ON THE LIGHT NOVEL, MANGA, AND ANIME, AND TAKES HEAVY INSPIRATION FROM THIS FANFIC I'VE PUT ABOVE

As we all know, Leon Fou Bartfort and Marie Fou Lafan were actually biological siblings in the real world and didn't know about it until much later on in the story. For the most part, the two were very much at odds with each other both in the otome game world as well as the real world.

So imagine this: The two started off as little kids who somehow managed to meet up with each other on a regular basis and somehow managed to become friends. During that time, they regained ALL their memories of the real world. Including those of the otome game. Also, they agree not to interfere with the in-game events too much in order to prevent, or at the very least prepare for, the war scenario. They even become genuine friends with Julius and his friends, Angelica, and Olivia, and advise them on life and relationships using their own experiences in the real world.

With this idea in mind, especially with it being heavily based on the above-mentioned fanfic, what would be the most realistic way for this scenario to seamlessly fit in and play out WITHOUT fundamentally altering the story too much?

It's been quite a while since I read the LN for volume 3, basically right after seeing the then-new Season 1 in fact. So I was wondering if the elf elder's prediction to Marie gets clarified? "You've already met your soulmate, but it was a missed connection. You've already said goodbye and it can never be together again."

The five idiots/faux sainthood are the brutal burden she's taken on, but is Leon the missed connection, as in the Anoseka alternate plot? If so didn't the author only start the Marie Route a few years after Volume 3 of the main series? Or is it someone we never hear about from her past life?

I just can't connect the vibe I had in S1 with S2. The new art is just too weird. The charm it had in S1 is lost. I can't connect with it. Rewatching S1 Queen clip. I miss S1 Queen. I going keep watching this season. But man the new art is shit.

The best episode this season?

The Good - Queen Mylene returns, Yumeria and Kyle, the whole affair at the elf village, Leon's expressions this whole episode, pacing is much better here, the servants will get what's coming to them.

The Bad - I'm more confused about why they switched order of events, yes it's a nitpick but that's all the bad I can think about for now, and the missing small conversation between Leon and Hertrude (trust me the manga is the best version here).

The Ugly - Nothing. It's a good episode.

The Conclusion - It is the best episode this season, which isn't saying much but still pretty good.

The adaptation - Chapter 44 and 45 of the manga and chapter 3 and 4 of the 3rd volume of the LN's.

I have not read the novel but it seems for most ln and other timeline this fact is true that he only man up, fully courted and proposed to was only queen mylene for the rest of his wives he did not do as he fumbles and gay shit avoid them.

Alr first off, the quality is actually very bad, it isn't horrible by my standards (i have seen worse trust me) but cmon slapping a jpeg of lux-kun? At least make it wobble a bit so it seems it's moving and this is in multiple scenes

I find the world-building, story, action sequences, and the character of Leon, particularly his self-deprecating nature to be a lot of fun to read, Leon's unique characterization alone provides enough of a reason to completely read this series

However, the romance is piss poor. This applies to both Angie and Livia. Noelle and the republic was lot of fun to read but little to no actual meaningful scenes happen between Noelle and Leon.

Its always like romance is an afterthought for the author, and that approach pisses me off.

Which is why i wanted to know if there is a serious out there with all the good qualities of mobuseka and actual good romance and harem.

Therefore I'm looking for recommendations

Please don't recommend author second work, it's a space series... intergalactic something...it might be good...but i found it boring...it just doesn't have the same charm as mobuseka.

I just started watching season 2 cause i rlly loved season one but as i was watching the opening i just noticed the men looked so much uglier and uncanny to me.

I think its the eyes? and i know Leon is supposed to look bland but idk i like him more before.

The female desings arent that much worse than season 1, even some look better, so in comparison the men look much worse to me.
