Honestly what a let down! Not even gonna fully blame voters since crunchyroll cant be trusted… cause I know damn well if they advertised what episodes would be playing no one wouldve bought tickets to this.
The eps were s1e11-12, s2e7, s3e12, holiday OVA.
Basically, MobGang vs Claw, Reigan exposed, Mob confession/series finale, and the parallel world OVA. I just cannot imagine ppl voting for like 3 of these, i really wanna know when this poll happened and who got to vote.
The best thing about this experience were the other fans enjoying themselves, and this kid who brought his Dad(who left many times). Love love Mob with all my heart but very lackluster experience😬

I say this as someone who put Mob in my top 5 anime of all time. This show hits everything I want from an anime: great characters that develop, incredible animation and art style, unique plot, and as a bonus it’s fucking hilarious.
For the anime’s 10th anniversary, Crunchyroll showed 5 episodes in select theaters. The episodes were chosen via a poll where people voted on their favorite episodes of Mob. You can read the statistics for those here:
https://www.crunchyroll.com/news/quizzes/2026/7/4/best-mob-psycho-100-episodes-poll-results
Ultimately, the episodes chosen to be shown in theaters were:
S1, E11/12
S2 E7
S3 E12
Holiday OVA
For reference, these are the episodes where Reigen defeats the Claw fighters with Mobs powers, the one where Reigen is exposed on TV, the final episode, and the OVA where Reigen is trapped on the train.
Like.. what?
All I wanted was the Mogami fight. That would have been worth price of admission ($21). I feel like the overall selection focused more on Reigen than Mob. I have actually daydreamed about seeing Mob fights in theaters, so I am taking this personally lol.
My questions are:
1. Would people have voted on these episodes if they’d known the context was “it will be shown in select theaters for $20 a pop”?
2. Should Crunchyroll have just chosen different episodes or opened a new poll based on the criteria that it will be shown in theaters?
Love Mob but feel a bit underwhelmed. Share your thoughts pls

I know it's unlikely, but I really hope they show the Reigen OVA.

Looking back on the series after the recent 10 year anniversary short really made me appreciate the optimistic themes. Of course its never outright stated, but its a pretty common interpetation that Mob is autistic-coded and I feel like thats the emotional core of the story, more broadly, neurodivergence - which highlights the struggle to accept oneself.
ill just preface that obviously mp100 is focused on human connection, but neurodivergence can still be applied to universal messages becauuse they're just normal people too. Social isolation is a running idea in ONE's work.
Anyways the idea of "masking", psychological supression to fit into neurotypical norms, is a big motif. Theres mob who bottles up his emotions out of chronic shame & hypervilgiante. His psychic powers make him feel like an outsider, symbolicly he associates this ability with his struggle to read social cues and doesnt know how to express how he feels without using this part of himself. He grew into a people pleaser to avoid rejection take up less space. The incident of hurting his brother also traumatized him to not rely on his powers.
Over the course of the series, Mob slowly develops confidence as he becomes his own person, learning to embrace that he has a sensitive heart, that his psychic powers can be an extension of his own humanity & ability to love.
There’s Ritsu who masked as the perfect brother/golden child and felt like a support character, developing a huge inferiority complex. He eventually succumbs into the tempetation to abuse his powers from sense of rebelliousness & control. Ritsu felt that all of his efforts meant nothing because psychic power would always be the one limit he could never overcome. When he finally awakened, it was like a burden was lifted off his shoulders to drop the facade and finally have an outlet
Getting hurt by mob equally traumatized him so he refused to ever drop his guard, choosing to mask insecurities. Ritsu was afraid and envious of mob, resenting him because he always acted like a loser despite his gifted nature. To him, it’s like he doesn’t even try. Meanwhile Ritsu was the high functioning type who was always praised but still couldn’t relate & connect with others at school. He thought mob was a ticking bomb but it was really him.
Teru had a mask of grandiosity and believing he’s the chosen one, but ultimately he was the same as mob, not knowing how to be a normal person without psychic powers. Reigen couldnt handle normal jobs and lacks any adult friends. He found ordinary sociey soul crushing before he quit to become a con man in a bizzare business where he can unmask and do something thats unique for him despite the low pay.
Overall the theme of mp100 is about belonging and all the villains are criticized because they are dangerously anti-social, they would rather abuse their powers then be healthy members of society. Their goals are petty, shallow, and entitled becsuse they haven’t formed a geninue purpose in life, they totally defined themselves by their percieved seperation from others and made their powers their whole identity.
Theres also the REIGEN spinoff, which I’m prettty sure is getting an adaptation soon, but we see this with tomes character too. She wants psychic powers because it’ll make her special or cool but serizawa tells her that she doesn’t need esp if she can’t even do basic self-improvement.
Love this series.

Oml I made this during a mob psycho marathon and I feel destroyed by how the plot is going...

In the latest storyline, Shigeo was hit by a car and his second personality — ???, came out. He caused massive destruction. So much so that they had to bring in a team of ex-criminal espers.
Question: Did Mob kill civilians in this arc, or did he only destroy infrastructure?

I am currently on episode 1 of the anime and i remember seeing a video about how reigen and Joseph joestar are bullshitters of the same power and im a number 1 jojo fan and saying that someone has the same amount of bullshit power as joseph is insane but is it true? Like I know that reigen was bullshitting mob into thinking hes a strong psychic but it cant be more then that. Right?

During the career path scene in season 3, all members of the Body Improvement Club are ranked by grade. Most of them have pretty low grades, and it is shown Onigawara is the 2nd worst in the whole school. No shocker considering he cuts every day of class, but he still does not have the lowest score in the school. So, despite it being pretty insignificant, who exactly has worse grades than Onigawara?

Hi again, second post here! This was meant more to he practice, so pls ignore the mistakes in anatomy TvT my intention was to make a decent drawing in a small page from a scheduler AND to attempt to draw as less stuff and details in the sketch as possible so I could make most of the drawing trusting on my ballpen skills 💔
Hope u like it cuz despite everything I'm pretty happy with the result AND it's an actual 10th anniversary drawing unlike the Sho one I made a few days ago 🥀

I’m rewatching the anime and Episode 7 came up. This one hits hard as I empathize with Reigen in a higher level. At the ending of the episode, he showed us character development by self reflection and admits he made a mistake. He forgave himself and with his heart found what words to say to Mob. He knew Mob was watching. Further at the end, Crunchyroll gave me an option to skip the credits. And since I’m rewatching the anime I almost always skip the credits… but not this one because I knew what was about to happen. Them meeting by the bridge. Reigen, instead of avoiding Mob and his fear of his student calling him a fraud, and after receiving back lash from the public/media, he faces his fears! The show of accountability moved me. He was ready for Mob to call him a fraud but instead Mob says he’s a genuine good person. By far my favourite episode of the anime. Thank you, One!

Director Tachikawa showed storyboard corrections from the second season and had a lot more added in the storyboards than what made the final episode cut.
I always knew he was invested in Reigen. Or just gives so much depth to his character and his emotional battles between him and his scamming ways.
