No Spoilers I drew Kelsier! [OC]
I recently got an iPad, so I got back into drawing! My girlfriend just finished reading "The Final Empire" for the first time, so I kinda got inspired to draw Kelsier

Hi! Sorry for the rant post i have no one else to talk to about this!
I just started this month reading the series and Final Empire hooked me hard... I darted through it in a few days and immediately started Well of Ascension.
I knew it was going to be slower but boy was it hard to finish. Of course the end was great and I had my jaw dropping to the floor with that reveal and that made the whole journey feel worth it, i just wanted to run around the room when I read that chapter. So much so that I already had HoA downloading in my Kindle while I was still reading the epilogue.
To my demise though HoA already starts back with the politiquing and siege planning and army managing...
Please someone tell me this won't the another siege book.. this story has so much potential, I can't believe it's going to drag along this road again ššš
Don't get me wrong I'm loving the series but right now i it feels like those moments when your SO gets home and is venting about their boring day at work and you listen though it just because you love them.
I'm at Chapter 17 ATM and so far i did love the Ten Soon and Sazed ones, but whenever Elend or Vin start talking armies and marches and government i get a bit annoyed. This was also the second i think Spook chapter, the first one where he wears the blindfolds and it was awesome. I'm in no hurry to read Elend again though lol
Of course I'll never drop this masterpiece and I plan to RAFO like a big boy, I think I just need some reassuring words

Spoilers for well of ascension.
I havenāt read hero of ages yet so no spoilers for that please.
So Kololoss get introduced and Iām like ok cool new lore and setting!
We get basically no info on them, and they really just seem to be introduced so there is a big threat that only Vin can solve? We also are hinted at that there is anything else about them to explore, nobody is curious about them or any mystery. Closest we get is they are dumb and wanna be humanish?
If we replace Koloss with just a barbarian army we have the same impact on the story except that Vin canāt mind control them.
And that they stay mind controlled even we she is unconscious seems like extra silly.
Feels like bad writing to introduce a āuniqueā race, tell us basically nothing about them.
Lot of hype about the Koloss and just kinda let down with the execution and how they feel just thrown in.
Am I crazy/missing something about Koloss in well of ascension?
Edit: it has been confirmed that I am indeed crazy for being disappointed that Koloss vs any other army didnāt serve much purpose other than giving Vin an army, and that future books will make them more irreplaceable in Well of Ascension.
Thanks everyone!

First off, many said this was the weakest book of the trilogy, but I liked it better than The Final Empire. However there was one part that left a sour taste in my mouth. I hated Elend becoming Mistborn. It just felt like a cheap cop out to see the privileged guy also becoming Mistborn. What does this mean for Vin? I guess thereās a lot to figure out in Hero of Ages, but idk I kinda left Well of Ascension a bit disappointed because of that one thing.
I absolutely loved the way the characters evolved, the political and army drama, and the mystery of what the Deepness is. Sazed and Vin were probably my two favorite characters of this book, and I also really enjoyed Zane.
Iām sure Hero of Ages will focus on some of these things Iām feeling about Eland, I guess Iām just wondering if anyone else had this initial reaction.

Hey all. Have a question thatās kinda been bothering me since I finished Shadows of Self a few weeks ago. I actually just finished Bands of Mourning hoping my question would be addressed, but it wasnāt. So here I am on reddit, asking questions.
So, at the end of SoS, we find out that Lessie was a Kandra all along, and that Lessie/Paalm actually really loved Wax, and didnāt want to manipulate him into returning to Elendel. My question then is, when Wax shoots and ākillsā her at the start of the series, why does she āplay deadā? Weāve seen Kandra take bullets with no hesitancy, and the bullet didnāt knock a spike out or anything. Paalm was still fully in control, yet she went along with the death and let Wax think she died, eventually leading to him returning to Elendel anyways. Why?
I guess the only reason I could figure is, she didnāt want to reveal she was a Kandra and blow the whole ākeeping an eye on you on behalf of Harmonyā gig? Given that she was rebellious (or at least nonconformist) among the Kandra, and also very much in love with Wax, that doesnāt fully track with me. If thereās something Iām missing or not inferring, or if you have a different take, please feel free to share. If itās spoilers for The Lost Metal/RAFO, then lemme know and I guess Iāll dive into the last book of era 2 lol.

Wouldn't it be SO cool if we got a Mistborn era 2 or 3 similar to the old Assassin's Creed games?
It would have a 5v5 multiplayer mode where a team had to rob a vault/ kill a target/ get secret info and the other team consisted on the special force guard of some noble or institution. Each player would either be a Twinborn (choosing their allomantic and feruchemy skill) or a misting or ferrin with some other ability like extra gunfire dmg or an aluminum hat).
I say it would be similar to AC in the sense that it would all happen in a big area with lots of npc where players have to blend in the crowd. Teams could consist of all 5 coinshots but then noone would recognize the enemy in the crowd, or noone could open a vault because they'd need a tin eye to hear the password, or a copper ferrin to remember all the info necessary. Mental allomancy would anonymously disable foes powers or make them attack the crowd. I like to think that all metals could have their special way of bringing something to the team, even "useless" ones.
In the single player mode, the main character could have medallion slots to obtain powers along the way.
What are your thoughts?

I don't think Zane was really a character, only really someone to fuel Vin's ark so can anyone explain to me why they hate him and his ark?

In Chapter 38 of Mistborn, when Vin tries to kill the Lord Ruler, she is saved by Marsh, who is now a Steel Inquisitor, who then helps her fight the Lord Ruler.
Which got me thinking---how was Marsh able to remain completely himself as an Inquisitor? I thought Inquisitors were creatures created by the Lord Ruler to serve him. He seemed to have control over them, seeing as he screamed, "Inquisitors! Come to me!" after Marsh killed Kar. Although that doesn't necessarily imply that they follow him mindlessly, I kinda just assumed that they were 100% devoted to him. Is that not the case?
Did the Inquisitors have their own free will the entire time? If not, how did Marsh defy the Lord Ruler's control?
I'm still about to read the Well of Ascension, but I wouldn't mind spoilers if ever this question was addressed later in the trilogy.

Was originally posted in r/cremposting and was suggested I share this here as well!
Followed the diy tutorial on 17thshard and made my jellycat bear keychain a tiny mistcloak to celebrate the 20th anniversary! Now he can fly around on my backpack in the wildfire air outside haha.
Iām new to sewing and itās made from felt and some old socks so itās a bit raggedly. I lap forgot to account for the keychain part for the hood oops!š

Spoilers for Mistborn Era 1
Does Marsh stay bald after the Lord Ruler dies?
I was wondering about this. Does Marsh remain bald throughout books 2 and 3? I imagine he wouldn't keep shaving his head every day anymore, since the Lord Ruler is gone. Is there an in-universe explanation for why he stays bald, or am I missing something?

Sometimes when I read, I make up titles for chapters. I find it fun and it helps me keep track of where I leave off. For the 20th anniversary of Final Empire, I wanted to share some of the titles I came up with.
(Part One)
(Part Two)
(Part Three)
(Part Four)
(Part Five)
I also have chapter titles for 2 and 3, but thatās it. Iām very new to the Cosmere and only a few books in!

If Iām wrong, Iām wrong, but itās a little strange is it not? But also I donāt remember her barefoot at all in the books or even mentioned??
Edit: I guess she is described as such, I just glossed over it I guess. Still a lil weird but thatās okay I guess.

Hey y'all! I'm debating a Steris Cosplay for Dragonsteel Nexus this year and thought I should turn to some experts about which fashion time period best suits the Wax and Wayne era?

Damn, finally! Trama just announced the pre-order for Era 2 in Brazil, for the first time ever, to be launched in September. I guess it's time to reread Era 1

This piece, Pewter Drag by Rodrigo Clark, will be able to be found in the Mistborn: Well of Ascension Deckbuilding Game expansion! We figured there was no greater time than the 20th anniversary of The Final Empire than to share this look at Vin and Kelsier in one of the high tension moments of book 1.
r/Mistborn • u/CorraTheFiredrake • 5d ago
How come Sazed was able to accompany Vin to noblemen parties when the lord ruler is said to have been invested in hunting down and getting rid of terrismen? Weren't they afraid they would risk him getting killed?
Idk maybe I missed something, can someone fill in the gap for me?

Knowing that Hemallurgy is connected to Ruin and that it can speak to people in their heads and that Spook appears to have his own hemallurguc spike which gave him the ability to burn pewter it makes me suspicious of āKelsierā. It could really be him, but I donāt fully trust this voice that claims to be Kelsier, it could be ruin. Thats my theory. I may be wrong, and I have hope. But i donāt trust the voice in Spookās headā¦
r/Mistborn • u/ThenEducator8649 • 5d ago
the Hemalurgic spike Spook received was charged with Feruchemical Brass instead of Allomantic Pewter?
