Minoxidil and nicotine
Hi everyone, I've decided to start minoxidil foam 5%, can anyone share their experiences using minoxidil and consuming nicotine products together? Logically I might have to put the zyns down for a while because one is a vasodilator and the other is a vasoconstrictor.

Question When do I admit that i can not grow a beard?
I have been using 5% minoxidil twice a day, using a Derma roller twice a week for around 6 months now and I am seeing little to no beard gains yet.
I am almost out of minox now and I am in doubt if i should order more or just stop it now.
Do any of you have any suggestions?

Question Im lost, i need advice
Ive been using minoxidil for a year now. I had almost nothing and i got the full beard almost covered. The thing is that i have a very good stubble after 2-4 days without shaving (first photo of my cheeks) and it looks like i have pretty thick beard. The thing is, the most amount of days i let my beard grow is around 10 days because it looks so bad and Thin when i let it grow and i dont know why. After i let it grow for around 10 days it looks like the beard is thinning, if i go up close to a mirror you can see i have lots of hair and good coverage after 10 days but if you look at me from 1 meter of distance you Will see almost nothing. Same on photos, no beard can be seen, just a slight shadow. I dont know what could be the issue. All the male members of my family have lumberjack beards Even my brothers. But for me its weird, i got full coverage but when i let the beard grow it Seems to more thin the more it grows (photo 2 is my moustache from a photo taken on distance and the third photo is the beard thin problem on my cheeks) what can i do? Should i take biotin? should i apply tretinoin? Should i give a chance to 0.5 dermaroller? I need advice please.

2 Year Update
Just reached the two year mark and I am wondering if it is time to wind down my Minox usage. Very happy with the results so far as I started with only a mustache and chin hairs.
My routine is simple 5% foam twice a day. No derma stamping or any special products besides sunscreen. I try to keep it trimmed under 6mm to maximize skin contact and absorption.
Started age 32, now 34.
Notes: Only had extra dry skin for a few weeks when I first started. I also had to take a nearly month long break in the middle due to a severe sunburn, with no noticeable losses during that time.

Question Shedding Phase??
So the first two pictures were from April of this year, I had let it grow with the help of minoxidil, mind you my starting point was damn near nothing, so happy to see the progress I had made within the 4 month mark, at some point I decided to trim it because it was getting too long, after that I started noticing hair getting less dense between the end of the 4 month mark up until now, is this what they call the shedding phase?

13 Months in M23
Started on June 18 2025 I was inconsistent and used cheap products around nov to January which delayed and destroyed my progress. But still here's where am at now

How many months in did you start noticing longer transitional hairs darken?

Question Tell me your opinion or your experience!
Hey everyone!
I just wanted to get some honest opinions from people who have more beard experience than me.
I’ve been using 5% Minoxidil for about 2 months to help fill in my beard. Before that, my beard was much patchier, especially on my cheeks and the area under my chin. The chin and jawline were always my strongest areas, but the cheeks never really connected well.
I recently went to a barber for a proper beard trim and I’m actually starting to feel much more confident with it. A few coworkers have even complimented me, which honestly surprised me.
I’m still not completely happy yet because I know there are a few weaker spots, but compared to how my beard looked before, I feel like I’ve made good progress already.
I’d really appreciate your honest opinions:
How does it look so far?
Do you think it has the potential to become a full beard?
If you’ve used Minoxidil yourself, how much improvement did you see after the first 2 months?
Thanks everyone! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
Edit: Ive added 2 Pics of my beard in the comments before ive started minox.
