Anyone know what wheel specs to get? 3" blocks in the rear and torsions wound in. Not sure what offset rims to go. Cheers

For context I traded a 2005 envoy that had blown up on me for this 1989 mighty max I thought it was a 2.0l but when I get there I learn its a 2.6l but still go through with the deal, when I get the truck home though I leaned the head is blown and the trans is possibly having an issue. So I was wondering if it was even worth fixing the motor thats in it or just drop something else in there lik a Mopar 318 5.2l v8 or a ford 2.3l ranger motor. Edit: and the people that are more knowledgeable on these trucks than i am round about how much they think it would cost would be helpful too

Huzzah 🎉
After 2 months of work I finally got my old truck to pass Oregon emissions testing with flying colors!
My test results were 127 ppm HC and 0.1469% CO (Limit is 220 ppm HC and 1% CO).
90amp alternator from a 2000ish Subaru, electric cooling fan conversion, modern blade fuse box conversion, Weber ICH single barrel carburetor, fully rebuilt fuel system (new pickup tube, pump, pressure regulator), custom pcv system, throttle cable conversion etc etc etc
It’s been a ton of afternoon sessions tinkering and there’s still a lot to do but that’s all mostly upkeep and routine maintenance and some loose ends finish up.
If anyone wants I have CAD files for the alternator bracket, carb adapter plate and pcv plate.

Been a little bit of a while sense I’ve been on and lots have happened. 1 the rear main decided it was time to leave the chat when I was on a drive 2. Did a reseal and deleted the EGR and added some pace setter header. 3 I need to get an exhaust on it (as it is just straight header dump) I’m worried to drive it to the shop to get done as my friend said it needs back pressure and I’m nervous to not mess it up. Anyone got any recommendations for exhaust setups and if it’s safe to drive about 20 ish mins to get there

Had my throttle linkage completely do itself in mid drive. Looks like I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and put together a cable linkage system.
Just curious if anyone else has done this and what pedal assemblies & mounting equipment you used/reccomend
thanks!

This Mighty Max has been sitting in my friend's neighbor's yard for at least 5 years according to google maps. They're looking to get the land, and if so, I might want to bring this back to life.
Haven't gotten closer than this picture, so there's a lot I don't know, but hey, hit me with your stories about restoring trucks that previously sat for years (or not)!

Can’t wait to get into this truck. Been in Texas all it’s life so no frame rust

Finally wrapping up my frame restoration on this 84 mazda b2000
I ended up using Eastwood 2k epoxy rattle can primer and Zep purple degreaser. I'd say I had good success with both of these products all things considered.
I used permatex rust converter in the nooks and crannies my sanding equipment couldn't reach.
I also used distilled water in a spray tank to clean after degreasing to avoid flash rusting and it worked great. My topcoat is VanSickle oil based tractor paint in gloss.
It also seems to be a very quality product. I still have one more round of topcoat to do tomorrow but regardless im not dissapointed with these results at all!
Will likely be notching the frame in the near future and will post updates about that.

Truck that a former coworker had. Love it because it’s different. Dodge but a Mitsubishi
