One of the luckiest finds so far while rockhounding in Vantaa, Finland. The biggest garnet crystal size in this specimen is 25 mm for a size reference. And I can look for hours at the smaller garnet crystals in the big cluster on first couple of photos I posted.

Hi!! I purchased this piece as chalcopyrite and quartz, I've always thought that it was calcite, but it doesn't react to 365.
I was playing with the flashlight today and for a split millisecond it was bright pink UV, just enough for me to know, this is calcite, not quartz.
Any idea if the flower formation is truly chalcopyrite or is it possibly marcasite? Google said sphalerite but I'm not sure.
This just definitely makes me realize I do need and want a 254nm and will try to find one that's affordable.
I believe I can still contact the seller but its been about 8mo so not sure they'd remember this piece

Did not pay much attention when i started my collection, and would like to figure out what these are. The small (possible amethyst) pyramid does not feel like resin, although it looks like it. The last photo is specifically referring to the large rock. The picture does not do it justice, but it is incredibly sparkly with light. Please let me know if any of these require further information, thanks!

For size reference it is 3,5 cm in width and 3,2 cm in length. Small specimen but still very exciting. I am loving the pink colored and translucent garnet crystals. Those are my favorite.

Deep green, curving crystals of primary malachite perched atop matrix.
This is what the species looks like when the chemical soup mixture is perfect for immediate malachite formation instead of being a by-product of azurite/other copper mineral dissolution.
