Westhaven - Waterfromt District: Advice needed!
Hello fellow City Builders! Iām looking for some advice.
I have began day two of my City, Westhaven. Its theme is a UK city in which we are a hub of many beautiful and interesting locations.
Iāve got my plans divided into the following so far
⢠Waterfront district
⢠Shipping Dock district (this will be a independent island)
⢠Sports district (Football stadium, sports uni, lots of sport themed locations)
⢠Residential Districts (high + low income, low income will be a farming area too)
⢠Industrial District (skyscrapers and other bits)
⢠formula one track planned
I began with the waterfront district due to spawn. I have build my pub, āThe Harbour Armsā which is a traditional UK pub with a pub garden etc.
Nextdoor is a little waterfront walk in which there is a park with benches and trees and fountain
I have a long stretch of path which you can see, is a open walkway by the riverfront
Iām looking for suggestions on what to put next to my pub. I did think a hotel but hotels are quite bulky and I canāt see it fitting the theme. Pic 1 is the area I have to work with. Theres way more space too
Any ideas? Also any criticism is happily received

Westhaven City - Day 1
Today I embarked on the journey of starting my City, Westhaven.
I had a lot of back and forth in my planning as I was very unsure how I wanted to begin. With the seed I used and the area. I landed on the Water/Riverfront district
Iām Ps5 so I have to do a lot of the grovel work myself (Iām unaware of any methods to remove land like Iāve seen on PC, if there is please enlighten me)
I have currently carved out a deeper part of the river as it was very shallow. Created a river wall around the edge too, this took up a considerable time.
I then began work on my āmini-dockā. The idea behind this is a small dock where sailers can park up and visit the area⦠whether this is realistic I donāt know, just want to be my own creative.
Then I began my work on what I call the āriverside districtā⦠this is the path you can see around the edge too. Itās almost a pedestrian walkway and cyclists in which you can walk up the river front and see what it has to offer.
I currently have x3 buildings marked out.
The one on the left Iām either going to create as flats or a hotel (almost like a small bed and breakfast or mini mainstream hotel)
Beside this, in the middle, is my pub, which Iām naming it āThe Harbour Armsā as within this distance Iām planning to have a large port on its own island⦠Iām planning to have a nice bridge connect riverside district and the port⦠thatās for another day
Then the right hand building with be the opposite of the left. Either a hotel or accommodation
So, does anyone have any thoughts? Iād love to know that your thoughts on which marked out building should be hotel/apartments
Thank you

Capitol Clark: an architecturally eclectic green city, transit oriented development, and redstone lighting system-based completely torch-free
my freshly imported city in java coming from bedrock that was built as early as 2018, itās all original builds of mine (there were inspirations of course), no empty halls spared as all buildings should have interiors (as you can see some are still empty because I tried to renovate it), all buildings feature a redstone lighting system both for exterior lighting via daylight sensors and interior lighting with just a click of a button, some buildings in the photo have torches though because I just recently imported it from my discontinued city that hasnāt featured any redstone lighting yet so Iām now in the works to renovate it as well with the addition of a new high rise standing on the left side waiting for its silhouette to be sculpted profoundly

Survival Modded survival city, 3 months in
Collage of the best recent photos from my hopefully forever modded survival world. Everything you see is not subjective and has a purpose, for example the gas stations actually pump gas and the wires on the telephone poles actually hold a current. I automated absolutely everything with an aesthetic first mindset, and thanks to industrialization I can focus more on building vs maintaining the survival aspects of the game. Also got a nuclear power plant somewhere in the wilderness, providing a massive energy surplus to my settlement. Also have multiple modes of transportation to get around, air infrastructure, roads, cars, busses, trains, and more.
What started out as a fully optimized homestead getting absolutely mauled by barbarians but then aviation was invented and then firearms, and somewhere between here and there we transitioned from coal and steam power to becoming a modern oil and natural gas conglomerate, and eventually discovered the power of the atom.

Question/Request Pls help guys...
Hey everyone, I always start building a single cool house or building in Minecraft, but I completely stall out and have no idea how to turn it into an actual city. How do you guys plan and expand past the first building? Any tips for layouts or getting over that block?
Not representative (!).
I'm -102 years old btw.
By the way, I don't have many friends; is anyone down to play with me or work together on these projects?

Creative Finished my Chrysler Building
Iāve finished constructing the Chrysler Building in my cityās Midtown district.
Every single floor is accessible and ready for new tenants to move in.
Next to the elevators, there are trash chutes for all the residents. The building also has a basement housing essential utility services, including waste management and the water supply.
Right next to this new iconic landmark, construction of the Empire State Building is already underway, led by the United Construction Company.
