Discussion One Screenshot Every Day (Day 44): MCC Party

Post image
26 Upvotes

The winner of Day 43 is u/Own-Percentage1657. Today, we are continuing with MCC Party

Every day, you can put a screenshot from the event in the comments, and the screenshot with most upvotes wins for the day. This will start from MCC 1, and it will be in chronological order. All Risings, Jingle Jam and Magenta ETrophy will be included as well, so this series will last for more than 2 months

What screenshots am I looking for? I would like to have a screenshot that, without any caption, you can tell what had happened around that screenshot if you have watched the said event: it should be obvious if you know. It can be a memorable moment or a representation of the event. It can be a hilarious moment or a top play. It can be "moment before disaster" type of screenshot, or the aftermath of a moment. Basically, if you're an MCC fan who has watched this event before, you will immediately be able to tell what the context is behind the screenshot

The rules for the screenshot

  • If possible, screenshots should be higher quality, but you can also opt for low quality photo if you think that is relevant to the context
  • Screenshots should be taken from any VODs or edited videos of that event, and the time should be during event, or pre/post-event within the same MCC VOD, not in the old practice server or MCC Island
  • Screenshots from post-event VOD review are allowed
  • Screenshots can be from the perspective of any player, the Noxcrew, Twitch Rivals, Rising coaches, spectators, etc.
  • Any screenshot or photo taken by the players themselves and uploaded to social media can be used, as long as it's relevant to that MCC, but credit should be given in the caption of the Reddit comment
  • Screenshots can be first-person, third-person, replay mod, or even in real life if you think it's that good. Facecams and other stream overlays can be kept as well
  • Screenshots can be cropped, but obviously cropping too much will lose the context
  • All other photo editing method are not allowed, such as combining screenshots, adding arrows to point, etc.
  • YouTube captions should be off when taking screenshots. The progress bar of the YouTube app/website should be hidden when taking screenshots
  • No animated GIFs or videos, only photos
  • Captions for the screenshot in the Reddit comments are optional, to remind people the context, but will not be part of the submission
  • There can be multiple screenshots of the same moment in the comments, but you can always upvote the one that depicts the moment the best, whether if it's a better frame of the same VOD, or different player perspectives

Rules might change as we go along, there might be some things that I've forgotten

Have fun trying to dig for screenshots!

Team Predictions Banger MCC Teams

Red Rabbits: It's been too long without SB, and I think a Hannah and SB duo would make sense as both are among the faces of Lifesteal, and I think Hannah's leadership can remove some rust out of SB, who had a weaker preformance in MCC BG. Impulse and SB also get a redemption after nearly clinching Dodgebolt all the way back in MCC 32, and I like Michela DarkEyeBrows too so she gets to be on the team.

Orange Ocelots: I'm surprised Shadoune hasn't teamed with any Hermits yet. I just feel like these three are the most probable. False and Shadoune have teamed in Block Wars before. The Cub and Gem duo has also surprisingly only happened once.

Yellow Yaks: Nothing much to say here, I just think this is a good combination of people.

Lime Llamas: I wanted the Bamboozlers from Wild Life to happen in MCC, and Feinberg balances this team well. It would also be funny for Fein to put on a Bamboozler skin. If Lizzie isn't available, I think aimsey would work well as a sub.

Green Geckos: Jardon and Jojo have surprisingly never teamed in MCC yet. Jardon and Graecie also get a redemption after an unfortunate MCC SD. Kara is very good friends with Jojo and Jardon, and has teamed with Graecie in MCC MU.

Cyan Coyotes: It is apparent Couri preforms best under the leadership of an experienced player (e.g., Tubbo in MCC SD). Since Pete is very experienced and has not won in ages, I think a Pete and Couri duo only makes sense. Pete and Ren has also surprisingly never happened, and I miss Skizz in MCC.

Aqua Axolotls: I remember a few months ago, Etoiles and Phil mentioned something about signing up for MCC together. Etoiles and Guill to my knowledge are good friends, and Scott rounds this team well.

Blue Bats: Nothing much to say here either. Cam, Owen, and Eloise are good friends and Ghostie meshes this team well (she hasn't played in a while too so I think she's overdue to comeback).

Purple Pandas: I want a Joel and 5up duo. This would also be the second time Shelby and Joel team up. Ros and 5up also get a redemption from MCC SB. If Joel isn't available, I think Dave or Krinios works well as a sub.

Pink Parrots: 2/4 Pink Pookies! I feel like Ish is also overdue in MCC, and Sneeg rounds the team well.

Discussion My take on all mcc games

I kinda have beef with all games. I really love team games the most. They communicate with each other the most. It’s fun seeing the dynamics between all of them.

Some solo games are still alright. It just depends on if they want to do well and focus, or still be in the voice chat.

I hate the pvps games. Not saying that pvp isn’t bad. But the way the games are played, you kinda have to be a really good pvp player.

I do like the different events and the use of the creative builds and maps. I love the elevator breaking joke. I like the overlay whenever they’re outside of the game and the decision dome that tells you what game was played. I like that it tells you where they placed in each game.

I need a team with Kara, Elaina, Eloise, and Jojo.

Grid Runners

I love this game. There are some rooms that I don’t like and are a bit harder, but overall most rooms are fun. Maybe a bit too much of light the lamps. There’s like 3 different versions of that game. Maybe not all of them in one round.

Sands of Time

I love this game. I just wish that the sand could be spawn more towards the middle, where the timer is, or outside of the tunnels more.

Instead of having the runners get the sand and waste time going back each time. Yes, they would have to go back anyways, if they find the vault and no key. But more than not, the tunnels are very long.

Also, once there’s no more sand, the sand keepers are kinda stuck doing nothing. Sure they have the levers, but they could be getting more sand instead of coins.

Railroad Rush

It’s fun. I think some people didn’t know how to play it in the beginning.

You really need one person who finds the path, with a person following with the rails, someone on the other side, dealing with the other path, and someone in the middle.

I don’t know if things are making it harder or not, but it seems more simpler right?

Also, during gold rush, if you dynamite the gold, does it go to you only, or to other people?

Meltdown

I like the concept of this game.

I wish that the cooldown of getting the heater placed down to picking it back up was shorter. And maybe the thawing time from the heater was shorter.

It seems like the players get rushed and then they don’t have enough heaters so they lose because of it.

Also, whenever it’s a snow event, I like seeing the snowballs instead of arrows.

Bingo but Fast

I like this game.

It just depends on what type of challenges there is and if people are good at knowing where stuff is at.

Also I like the challenges where they have to think lateral to solve; Party, Season 4 Kick-off, Mash Up, and Pride 26.

Big Sales at Build Mart

In the beginning, season 1, I liked it but didn’t like how it was built with the floor sometimes being gone and trying to find where everything is at. And it kinda looked ugly. I’m really glad they updated the game. It looks so much better. And having the use of flying. It’s a lot more better trying to find where all the materials are at.

I like that they added the materials and how many you need them. Because earlier, people might not have gotten all of the materials.

I don’t know if I like them using the difficulty ranking in stars or not. It makes sense to have difficulty on builds. But people who are good might only go towards the higher ranking ones. Or just everyone wanting to get the higher ranks. And it’s not necessarily as fun, because then it just relies on the stars than the build.

I do like having the golden builds appear during a certain time and complete within 2 minutes.

Tgttosawaf

I don’t get why collisions and seeing people are on in this game. This is the only time where it happens and it’s weird to me on why that is. It sucks because most of them are fun maps to play. But you can really get screwed if you get hit. If they just turned it off, I would really like this game.

Also, it’s so funny how long this game name is.

Hole in the Wall

I like the use of different types of walls.

However, I don’t like frozen or trick walls. It just seems so buggy when people trying to jump and it doesn’t let them go.

Parkour Warrior

I did like the old map, but because people completed it, they decided to redo the entire map and make it harder. And it didn’t feel fair to a lot of the other people, just because they didn’t complete it. It only would make sense that they make section 7 and 8 harder, and not the entire map.

It’s not a bad game, you just have to be good at parkour, I guess.

I do like that they had bonus levels and you can skip them if you want.

Ace Race

I feel like the maps are a bit too long.

Maybe make the map a bit shorter. Or make them be 3 laps because it seems really boring after lap 2 basically.

I don’t know why they made it 4 laps because earlier, they had 3 laps. Wait, it does vary between maps. Turtle Run and Yeti Set Go! should not have 4 laps.

I do like Clouds 2, with the part in the water that looks like an aquarium.

Also, tridents suck. I do like the elytras and jump boosts. But tridents are not as fun to watch.

Parkour Tag

I like the concept of this game. However, I think it’s better watching people being the hunter than the runner.

It’s hard to tell where the hunter is, if you’re being hunted. Yes, there is runner vision, but it doesn’t work when they’re chasing you. It feels like you can run, but then they can cut you off, so it doesn’t matter.

It only makes sense if someone got tagged, then told the others where the hunter is at.

And whenever someone is at a corner, it feels trapped. Sometimes it looks like someone got tagged but they aren’t.

Rocket Spleef Rush

I don’t like the maps where there might be some space down low and people try to use the rocket. But they can’t use it because of blocks right above their head and they lose all momentum.

One problem and it’s just me, unless players turned it down, but whenever a new arena comes on, there’s a noise to signify where it is. and it’s really annoying to me. Especially when it’s the faster arena. It just spams the noise beeping.

Battle Box

I don’t really like this one. It might be a bit more competitive, where you can hide between walls and get hits from the bow. But it relies on pvp when you get into the middle. It’s also easy for people to wool rush. Either you wool rush or it’s pvp. Ironically, it might be better to wool rush; Aqua, Blank Canvas.

I don’t really know what the difference between these two games are; Sky Battle and Survival Games.

Sky Battle

It seems to me that this is Survival Games but you can build.

It feels boring in the beginning because you have to gear up, and if you see a team, you could lose before you get to the middle. And it seems repetitive doing that 3 times.

I don’t like how the border is at the end. It’s alright in the beginning because everyone’s far apart. But once it’s towards the middle, it feels like you get trapped in the border way too early.

Survival Games

I remember in the very beginning, where the coins were so weirdly high whenever someone got a kill. I don’t know if it was a one time thing or not.

I think it might be better than Sky Battle, just because it’s only one round. But it still feels a little boring. It’s a long game where you have to gear up. But it’s really good for pvp players, even if they’re not in op gear.

The winner of Day 42 is u/Affectionate_You_225. Today, we are continuing with MCC Twitch Rivals

THE ACTUAL WINNING SCREENSHOT, I AM STUPID

Every day, you can put a screenshot from the event in the comments, and the screenshot with most upvotes wins for the day. This will start from MCC 1, and it will be in chronological order. Fanwork I Drew One MCC Player Every Day for 200 Days

Post image
155 Upvotes

200 days, crazy to think i'm still doing this challenge after all this time.

Welp i don't have any more stories from this challenge, so just for fun here's my top ten favourites drawings :

10 - Day 43 Fruitberries
9 - Day 46 CamBam010
8 - Day 63 Foolish
7 - Day 61 Quig
6 - Day 47 5ups
5 - Day 107 MathoX
4 - Day 96 AnsiChan
3 - Day 50 Technoblade
2 - Day 92 SandwichLord
1 - Day 100 Noxcrew

I'm also getting to a point where the only players that are left to draw are from super early season 1 or from Rising events,

And as fun as this challenge has been, i have to stop eventually and i'd rather set the dealine myself instead of just giving up one day or forcing myself to continue drawing just because.

Day 250 will be the very last day of the challenge, it feel like a good number to end on.

Thanks again for keeping up with me for as long as you have, i don't know what i'll do after the challenge's done but i'm sure i'll figure it out by then.

Like always, first person to comment gets to choose who i draw next!

BONUS : I've hidden 8 little Eefos in this artwork, can you find them all?

Discussion Wadebox = Mikel Merino?

This is just an observation that is loosely connected to MCC. Humility is rewarded.

In this World Cup, Spanish player Mikel Merino was asked by his club Arsenal who he would like to win the World Cup. Of course, most players said their own nation, but Merino stated that if Spain didn’t win, he hoped one of his Arsenal teammates could. Merino ended up winning the World Cup, scoring 2 decisive goals on the way.

Remember when Wadebox was connecting with the community and recommending other participants to want in an MCC that he also was playing in? He ended up winning that MCC.

It goes to show, wishing for other’s happiness is rewarded.

Discussion Whatever happened to the whole multiple routes change for Ace Race?

Back in MCC 30 they introduced a change where each map would have a variety of sections that could be swapped out between events so the same map would be slightly different each time it’s played. I really liked this change but it seems like it never went anywhere. I don’t recall seeing any changes to maps since then. Was this change just quietly walked back?

Discussion Any players you’ve lost hope for playing in MCC?

I used to really want Reddoons to make an MCC appearance, even if he didn’t try at all, seeing him team with someone like Sneeg or Tubbo, or literally anyone would’ve been so peak.

By now though I’ve pretty much lost hope…

Any other newcomers that have been highly requested but likely will never play?
