I just purchased this FN M16A4 Classic AR15. I am quite excited for it. I have an A2 handle I’m going to attach to it. Maybe in the future I will put an Acog on it, but for now, I will keep it as simple as possible. Now I just need to wait for it to arrive to the FFL and wait another 10 days for the BG check. I’m sure the wait will be worth it.

I thought I was buying a clone knights M4 Rail. Got it home and realized it had been spray painted. I scraped some off on the bottom handguard and I see odd number T marks. Starting to think it's real... but I honestly have no idea.

I have a Colt 6094 upper left over, and I'm wondering if anyone has info on if there's are any IAR style handgaurds legit/clones about there.

M4A1 factory Colt, CR018XXX serial number, unfired

I’m new to cloning and my rifle isn’t finished yet but just wanted to share something I got from wet worx for 80 shipped. KAC micro BUIS new in package USMC marked. Had to get 2 of them. I’ve always wanted a KAC micro sight but never wanted to pay the money and couldn’t pass this up. Super exited to add it to my build.

Are there any other photos of the SU-231A (or COTS EXPS3) being used on the Block 1-type M4 or CQBR? It's a great looking combination. I've seen a lot of SU-231s and older EOTechs, but this is the only pic I found of the one in question. Any other reference pics would be greatly appreciated.

(Yes, I know "Block 1.5" isn't correct, but it's what people know an M4/CQBR with KAC RAS and Block 2 accessories as, so I'm running with it)

Like the title says, why did the FBI choose the 10" rail for their rifles when most everyone else runs a 10.5" rail? Does anyone have any rationale for this decision?

After a long parts hunt, I’m finally calling this one complete. For now.

The build started with an authentic surplus complete 10.4” HK416 upper assembly. It retains the factory QR code and includes the original:

Hello. Seller is claiming this is genuine Colt waffle stock. It does look like govt. issue because of the marker pen on the top of it. However, the spray paint and the A7-01 looks like someone just made it home.

Can somebody elaborate if this is genuine Colt (according to the mould marks and the smoothness of the surface)?

Can somebody elaborate if this is USGI?

Fit is very tight (the most tight I ever had), it's probably milspec – fits very good my BCM milspec buffertube.

I attached my second genuine USGI FN CAGE waffle stock for comparison.

Purchased a 16" 1/6 twist Legacy MCX with the KM stock and Space Magic Rail.

My question is what are my options for 6.75 1/5 twist barrel to make it clone correct?

What plays with the Gen 1 "square tapered lugs?" Since a clean OG Gen 1 6.75 is pretty much unobtainium at this point.

I keep seeing that a Rattler LT 6.75 barrel and bolt will work and then some people are telling me it won't play well in the upper. Obviously I couldn't just buy the barrel since the Gen 1 is square tapered and the LT is tapered. (SKU 8901526)

What are my options outside of finding that rare gem?
