Hello people of r/Mii_Evolution!

The mod team has recently noticed a big surge in non-Mii evolution posts. We understand that the main reason these posts exist is actually on us. To clarify, the majority of these “non-Mii evolution” posts feature the Miis themselves evolving like dinosaurs (with some posts even showing two-headed Miis, etc.).

Because of this, the mod team would like to officially define the term “Mii Evolution” so there is no future confusion.

== Definition of Mii Evolution ==

At its core, a ”Mii Evolution” represents how you, the person, have grown and ”evolved” over the years from a kid to an adult, and how your Nintendo Mii reflects those real-life changes.

While the term "Mii Evolution" might make it sound like the Mii itself is physically evolving, that is not the case for this subreddit.

== Result ==

To keep the subreddit clean, all non-Mii evolution posts have been taken down by the mod team. Rule #3 will be updated accordingly later this week to reflect this clarification.

Finally, we would like to emphasize that if your post is not Mii evolution related, please post it to r/Mii.

We have decided to update the rules for this subreddit.

First of all, selfies are not allowed anymore. This is for the privacy and security of Redditors. Please do not upload selfies or photos of yourself, your family, or anyone in general.

Selfies can be easily misused by malicious actors, so please only upload your Mii evolutions and not selfies to go along with it. Any new posts containing selfies will be removed.

Secondly, We want to re-emphasize that Mii Evolutions are allowed on this subreddit, only! There have been some posts that are related to Miis but are not evolutions.

We want to make this clear that you have to post that type of content in r/Mii, or else you will be banned and your post will be removed.
