Ya pasó el hype de la reedición del CTE 2026 pero a mí recién me llegó hoy. Para los que pudieron hacer comparación del de época y este nuevo qué tal les pareció?

En lo personal me gustó bastante el Audio del 2026, es calidad a buen precio a comparación del de época que no baja de los 200 USD

I own most of their discography (14 of them) and listen to them regularly. Besides Megadeth, I love Metallica's first 4 albums and also really enjoy a handful of songs from Slayer, Machine Head, Testament, and Overkill.

Outside of that I don't really listen to any other thrash. Just curious how many big Megadeth fans are really into thrash vs how many listen to mostly other genres when not listening to Megadeth.

Going to both shows, I’ve seen Megadeth 4 times now in MN since 2016…. Never seen either song. He’s pulled both out randomly at times over the last few years. Hoping playing with Obituary, Dave will want to play some of the heavier tracks he has in his rotating set…. I just don’t want to hear She-Wolf(okay song, but compared to the other two it ain’t got shi*) and Dread And The Fugitive again over some cool super thrash songs. It’s a long shot, but if someone sees this and thinks the same🤣🤣🤣 see ya in Wisconsin.

This is a random aside, but when Metallica played in MN last time, I literally jumped out of my seat freaking out they played Hit The Lights. If Megadeth would pull out say Rattlehead I would lose my head rattling so hard lmao. I see Take No Prisoners has been subbed in recently…. Haven’t seen that and is amazing…. But man getting something from the first two albums that’s not Mechanix and Peace Sells title track. I have seen Wake Up Dead live multiple times.

Somebody in another thread asked about Vic mythology other than ‘badass guy Dave came up with”. Looks definitely human in this art in the vinyl gatefold, and the cover makes it look like Angel Lady is morphing him into the Vic we all know? Any thoughts on this?

Bonus points for spotting Jr. pulling pork in the balcony.

This one’s for the lore of the beloved mascot, every time I wonder when I look at the album covers of Youthanasia and Countdown To Extinction. Vic isn’t in the cover, or more like he shape shifts into a human.

I don't know whether this story is true, but I read some excerpt from an interview of a Bad Brain crew member, I think he was security or something, who said he once bashed Dave's head in the shared dressing room they had because he came in and started swearing in front of kids that were there.

Does anyone know the source of this?

I've always had an obsession for Megadeth's tone in That One Night: Live in Buenos Aires, but specifically the sound Dave had in Set the World Afire around the 1:32 mark in the song when it's just him playing. I've always wondered if someone happened to have made an IR based off this sound or knows anything about their sound at that time. There's something about it, almost like it has a chorus or flanger on top of the tone at that point.

I remember there used to be this whole blog where Marty Friedman wrote about each Megadeth song he performed on. It went into detail about the legendary Tornado of Souls handshake, the music theory behind Lucretia, and even random stuff like how they had to record the call and response Addicted to Chaos vocals manually.

But now I can't find this blog anywhere! I've looked all around, though it looks like his official site is down right now so it could be there I guess. Anyone else remember this? Am I crazy?
