My 2nd favorite game in the MMX series, it's a perfect sequel to the first MMX
Not only you need to battle all bosses but also the X-hunters to help Dr.Cain reassembling Zero (if not you can fight Zero before Sigma's boss fight)
The weapons are good in this game, didn't had problem using theme or them being boring/useless (I still can't understand Magnet Mine's black hole)
The armor is a great improvement of what the first game gave us (which will later inspire most armor upgrades), you don't dash anymore but air-dash with the leg part, the buster shot is...... I definitely don't know what to say on it but it's just too long to wait until the fourth charge besides that it's better than having to charge super long just to waste everything, with 2 shots you can manage the time to use them, the body part can let you accumulate damages to charge the giga crash (useful against mini bosses or for several enemies at the same time) but also reduce received damages by 50% just like the first one. The head part who even talks about this one ???
The game difficulty just like MegaMan 5, it let you win, giving a impression that the game seems easy compared to X1
Soundtracks is a BLESSING !
The main bosses are good with new mechanics but just like I said in the game difficulty, they're relatively easy to get a win against even without their weaknesses, the real deal in difficulty are the X-hunters and Zero
Sigma's boss fight, it's still like the main bosses he's easy to pull a win even without his weakness, his attacks are too predictable and easy to dodge. In his virus form the difficulty is slightly higher but I'm not gonna talk about that one.
Gameplay I don't know what to say on it but I found the same result as the previous game

Here's the final nightmare installment of the remaining robot masters for the 1st game. This is where I re-interpret their pixel sprite into my own, terrible HD Remake. I tried to stay true to the sprites and the pixel grid as best as I can but I did take liberties here and there.
ElecMan's hair is frizzed-out from all the elec.
FireMan who handles fire should not have a unibrow but he does, unfortunately. So I made it more unfortunate that all facial hair looks singed.
IceMan...well, wtf.

So apparently Vol. 1 of Mega Man Adventures has been delayed yet again, so I’ve been thinking about checking out Ariga’s works in the meantime. However, I’m seeing a bunch of titles like Megamix, Gigamix, and Mastermix. I read that Mastermix is made up of older stories, but apparently it’s missing content. So is there a definitive order to the stories, and if so, what’s the best way to read them (that doesn’t involve piracy)?

I recently started collecting action figures of some of my favorite characters (e.g. Iroh, Koopalings, Mr. Freeze, etc.) and now I am looking for a Mega Man X figure for my collection. I had been looking at the Kotobukiya figures, but not a big fan of needing to build it. I also wish I could get a sense for a feel of those. I am debating between the HIYA one and the recent MDLX (by Threezero) one. The HIYA one is $65 pre-order on on Gamestop with free delivery. The MDLX one is $49 on BBTS, but comes out to $75 with shipping. I am leaning towards the HIYA one. Curious what folks think.

Rules:
Round 1: Base Battle. Base equipment, no special weapon nor armor (Aile will have Model X, because otherwise she's utterly defenseless)
Round 2: Upgrade Battle. Special Weapons & Armors added (X can get any Armor from X1 to X8, Megaman has access to Super Adaptor, Double Gear, Aile has all Biometals X, Z, H, F, L, P and Ω, and Volnutt can access his special weapons. All megamen can use their special weapons.) Alongside their Upgrades to the Max level.

My childhood favorite fangame had to be without a doubt Megaman: Rock Force. Everything about the game is good. The robot masters, all SIXTEEN of them, are the most creative I’ve seen to this day. But my highlight is the OST, which is the best in megaman fangame history handsdown in contest with Megaman: Unlimited.
I 💛 Megaman: ROCK FORCE

Have actually been meaning to post something about old fan-sites, so I guess now's the time! Post your links and archive links to Mega Man fan-sites here, so we can all revisit them!
Probably like many of you, I grew up on the early internet discovering a lot of Mega Man fan-sites. There was lots of fan art, fanfiction, rumors, game tricks and passwords, and so on. It was a lot of fun to be part of that community.
Anyway- Just found out that Lycos shut down Tripod and Angelfire hosting, which took with it in April 2026 a few sites which have been around since the 90s and early 2000s, so I thought I'd make this post.
Some notable examples which were online until April (links are archive links, so you can visit them):
Maelgrim's "Rockman's World" To actually enter the site, use this link. This is one I remember visiting as a kid. There were a lot of cool MIDIs on there! The links page lists a lot of other old fan-sites- Your mileage may vary.
Xardion's Page O' Stuff Lots of custom pixel art sprites and comics.
Honorable mentions (on Tripod/Angelfire but broken earlier than April 2026):
Broken/defunct but not on Tripod/Angelfire:
Still alive and kickin':
Some sites I remember visiting but can't find or haven't had the time to look for yet:
I'll edit this post to update as I remember/rediscover more. Looking forward to seeing what sites you all remember!

Hi, today I just got the last game I need to finish out my 8-bit Mega Man collection
They're all loose cartridges, no boxes or manuals unfortunately but I got impatient and didn't have the money to spend on CIBs
But yeah I'm proud to own these; my favorites are 1, 3, II and V

Hey r/Megaman!
I’ve always been fascinated by fan game roster design, so I set out to build an ideal, hypothetical classic Mega Man lineup using only existing Robot Masters.
To make it a legitimate design challenge, I locked myself into 4 strict rules:
I’d love to hear your thoughts! If you had to follow these exact same rules, who is the one Robot Master you’d swap out, and how does it ripple through your weakness chain?
