Not really in need of more pilots, but I imagine they'd want to be a package deal. Instead of one of them being flown to the other side of the galaxy while the other stays on whatever planet we happen to be on now

So I’ve liked the Highlander as a Mech since I got into BT (as admittedly recent as that is), but I never enjoyed piloting it in MW5 before. Felt too slow (most of the Mechs I enjoy piloting are bare minimum 64 km/h) and the old Jump Jets didn’t help. But I decided to give it a shot again with the new Jump Jets and after getting the speed increase upgrade from the Cantina. I am so happy. It feels *so* much better to pilot now.

I know this is kinda simple to make a whole post for, but I just want to see if anybody else feels or has felt the same.

Started playing the Dlc recently. I used an old save game where i had a ton of mechs & 620mil+ Cbills.

I am quite shocked with the clans mechs vs my own.

1st mission was a wipe out. Played it 4 times to get through with 2 x100T mechs blown up. 😆

As i am grinding through the game to collect Timber wolfs, Executioners & Warhawks... i realise i have burnt through some 500mil Cbills in repairs, weapons & mech purchases. By the time i finish the campaign, i have 5mil Cbills left. ( after selling maybe 10 assault mechs along the way) 🫣

🍇🍉🍑 I want to ask if this Dlc is really this hard for many of you also ? Or am I just too lazy to keep scumsaving ? Or I need to go back to Mech Academy ? 😬🫩

The way I look at it, I'm a merc. I get shot at by great house armies for a living. It pays the bills but gods those guys suck. Why would I let one of them continue to have unfettered access to a battlemech factory? Yeah the high born prattles on in my ear about it, but the whole time I'm kool-aid manning through walls, taking pot shots at equipment, and mag-dumping my MGs. I think the lowest I got it was 20%?

Client chose to hire a merc, that sounds like their problem.

I like my clan mechs so a star would make sense here.

I'm playing for a while now (campaign only so far and not that far into) and recently I found an ECM on the market as well as a Raven. But the raven does not have an ECM slot and non of my other mechs has...

So what are the first ecm mechs I can expect to find and what is the easiest way to get my hands on one of them?

Ive finally manged to get enough clan stuff to trivialize most normal missions.

However, whenever I go up against clanners in conquered clan space (difficulty 100+) i get my ass handed too me.

How do you fight clanners? Lots of missles from very far away? My normal walk up, shoot a little, get behind them when I drop aggro is costing me millions!

Have all DLC, been playing a career from the Kurita start and going through all the DLC campaigns, just finished Dragon's Gambit (~dec 3039), and realized - I haven't seen a single ER medium laser, what gives?

So far the only lostech ive been missing is streak srms and er meds/smalls, everything else I've come across in decent amounts

Iirc, on the lbx/uac side of things, only lb10xs and uac5s existed initially/in Star League era, did something similar happen for er lasers?

Did they change how they spawn in Indutrial Zones? I only found 1 hero mech so far, which i don't care about but i can't seem to get a single Star League mech. Yes i have Mech Delivery and can just order them, the situation is still the same.

In my previous playthrough i had multiple of them by this point

Anyone knows if one of my mods might be interfering? I don't think any of them is supposed to affect spawn rates for them. Everything works perfectly otherwise but i'm not sure if i'm just unlucky or somehow banished all the SLDF mechs to the shadow realm

I’ve put together a spreadsheet based on data from Sarna about MW5 weapons and their various features. The idea is to see how weapons compare not just in terms of raw damage per hit, but also damage per minute, damage per ton, range, spread, etc. It’s been pretty insightful and helped me crystallize some build ideas for my mechs.

That being said, the information on Sarna is incomplete. They have not yet updated with the latest weapons, and I have had to fill in the data based on weapons in my inventory. However, there are still some weapons I have not found, and to complete the sheet I’m looking for screenshots of weapon data for the following:

I absolutely love the characters! They are all so different and unique.

After the cinematic I have a little crush on Tara lol.

It showed a soft nice side to her, not just the skilled mechwarrior who can take down anything thrown at her.

So, I completed storymode in Vanilla with all DLCs, I am on 3060's and decided. I could stop and start a new career. I am interested in modded experience as they can transform it completely. I have hear YAML might give you option to build just super OP mechs, but I am trying not to do that and have some rule of cool with my builds.

So, I am looking forward to these:

- YAML (and weapons probably) for more mechs and weapons (Fafnir I miss you)

- Coyote Missions

- VonBiomes

- TTRulez (seems it is compatible now with Coyote according to latest update)

- 330's Pilot overhaul

Seems those five will change the game enough to give overall different, fresh experience to continue onwards. Going to start new career as mentioned with all the new stuff awaiting and see if I am making to dark ages (315x--> ?). As someone here used term "Honest man Hardcore", I plan to accept my, or my lancemates faith as it goes.

Would you recommend something new, something I am missing? If I understood, YAML has rescaling built in with it.

Are there some QoL mods you would absolutely recommend? Maybe something for shopping? Something for piece of tra... interstellar home we call Leopard?

What I am absolutely don't want, is easier experience or feeling completely overpowered. Scary tanks feels a bit rough still, so I might skip that.
