Merch/Cloak On the Subject of Cloak
For those of you who might have missed it, Cloak released a video on YouTube yesterday updating everyone about the logistics of shipping. Mark went over why things are taking a while, what logistics of shipping that high a volume look like, what the goals are going forward.
To put into perspective what I am going to be writing, I need to mention I work for a merchandise company that is large enough to be known among many fandoms, but small enough to have issues just like this.
I need to express how legitimately refreshing and game changing it is for Mark to have taken the time to make a video to update everyone on what is going on. And I think more companies who genuinely care about their fans and customers need to do things like this. I am going to sound pendantic and dramatic as I write this, but I don't care because I need to say it.
For those of you who don't know, it's generally considered taboo to acknowledge mistakes and failures in the merch world outside of something like an email you may or may not see. You may also get some flowery version on social media made to placate people. It's taboo to say "hey we see you, we hear you, we're taking too long." The answer of "why can't you" is always something about optics from higher up in the company. You look incompetent, you're gonna make people mad, customers don't need to know about the inner workings, we're going to lose customers if we tell them the truth, blah blah blah. I do not agree with this at all and I hope that Mark's video proves that you can be honest and human as a company. You can update people from an honest perspective and tell them the truth and it won't reflect badly on the company. In fact, it will probably get you more respect from fans and customers because they get it.
Speaking as a fan of Mark and Cloak, I want you guys to keep doing things like this. I want you to humanize the company, I want you guys to see us as you always did in the early days. I want you guys to do for the merchandise industry what Mark did with the film industry. Break the norm and give a voice to those just like you who aren't being heard when we want to be honest with our customers. For me, I don't care if there are production errors or printing mistakes or shipment delays because shipping is a fucking mess, because I know it happens. And folks who don't already live in the merch world and know the problems it comes with (which are many) should understand it happens. Will that stop the people who are going to complain no matter what? No. But this isn't about them.
So to Mark and the Cloak Team, from the bottom of my heart, from one merch employee to another: Thank you for breaking the norm and acknowledging the things everyone else is too afraid to.

Discussion Iron Lung Order Lost
I am SO sad. I ordered two shirts back in February, one for my best friend who came to see iron lung with me and one for myself. I waited a loooooong time. Finally I got the shipping label has been created email in May and I was SO excited. I waited I waited I had to move in June so I called USPS to see if I could change the address and they said no but I can attempt to intercept. Everyday since then I've been waiting for some sort of notification so i could try having them deliver to my new place. I reached out to support last night and was told my shirts were lost by USPS and that they don't currently have them available. I was refunded but unfortunately it went to shop and shop put it towards already fully paid off shirts so now I have to fight with them for my 58 dollars back.
Not upset with marks team at all because it wasn't their fault just super disappointed I was so looking forward to a note and the cool blood bag packaging. Sad days all around friends. Mourn my shirts that would've been with me. My best friend is devastated lmao we grew up watching Mark together and I surprised her with iron lung tickets the day before the premier so we could see it at "the midnight showing". Shitty situation and I miss my shirts I never got haha. Oh also fuck USPS how do you lose shirts?

Discussion What happened to Alex Tima, Markiplier's trainer?
I've been searching all over the internet and reddit and can't really find anything specific. I mentioned him during one of Tyler's streams when he mentioned wanting to get a trainer but then he said "no comment" and left it at that. Alex's youtube shows that his most recent video was posted 3 years ago.
I apologize if this is stirring up controversy that I missed, or in some other way poking into private events. I'm genuinely just curious.

Discussion Markiplier Comic Book Series?
So I found this whole series of Markiplier comic books on Amazon. They were published in 2021, and seem hand-drawn. They also claim that Mark is the author of them, but I've never heard of these before?
Each book only has a couple of reviews, so they don't seem to be all that well-known. I feel like if Mark actually made these, they'd be far more well-known, but at the same time they seem too well-done to just be someone using his name to try and sell scam merch. Given the year these were published, I think the artwork is too good for it to be AI. Does anyone know about these?

Discussion Late to the party, but so incredibly thankful for Mark and the guys.
So, okay, I don't know if this is allowed, but I wanted to share this because I think maybe someone could relate to this and to express my gratitude to Mark and the boys 💕💕.
I’m 36 and have known about Mark, Jack, and the community for years, but due to severe depression, ADHD, and a comfort-zone habit, I always rewatched the same videos from other creators. After losing my dad last year and dealing with the stress here in Venezuela with the earthquakes and all that, I wasn't interested in doing things or watching videos anymore and was desperately looking for something to cheer myself up once more.
For some reason I really can't explain or even remember, I stumbled into Mark’s playthroughs once again, and now Distractible (also his videos with Ethan and Tyler), and decided to give them a try, along with Sean. Oh boy, the laughs they are all giving me
Listening to Distractible in the background is genuinely helping me get through my daily chores bit by bit, as I'm pushing myself to try and not skip any episode and listen to them all if possible.
I might be late to the community, but better late than never. Thank you Mark, the boys, and all of you for being such a welcoming community! 💕

Question Game w/little girl and animal friend
I watched this video a bit ago, there was this game he played with a little girl who I think was black and she had an animal friend. You were in the attic watching these tapes of her doing things and communicating to you. I think she was in a show similar to Dora the explorer. Does anyone know the name of the game?
Edit: I found it, it’s called “Amanda the Adventurer”

Discussion Dear Mark
Im not sure how to really specifically address this, but theres a piece of me that I have adored for years watching your content. There's no way for me to tell you this directly, and I know you periodically check here. Im not asking for a million dollars, but just that you can see how positive you have been for my childhood. There has been so many moments in my life growing up during extremely tough times, or struggles, and your content has consistently given me something to look forward to when things were dark. You changed my life in significant ways, and gave me another chance to see there is atleast one kind person in society when im surrounded with doubt in todays world. Seeing you succeed and grow to align with your dreams makes me so happy for you. If anyone could possibly point you to this post, I need you to know that if I ever did have the chance to meet you, speechless wouldnt even begin to explain my emotions. "I know theres people out there thay need me, and I wish I could be there for every single one of you but I cant, and that makes me sad." - is a quote you broadcasted to the community, and I couldnt be more touched and appreciated by a human being. I genuinely cry seeing you be happy, and im glad I can be here to experience it with you. Please dont stop being who you are, and maybe one day ill be able to tell you everything youve done for me, a book isnt enough. A friend of mine told me to post it here, as they believed theres a chance the community could help you see this, and it really would mean the absolute world to me. Either way, thank you. The content you provide to the world is changing lives for millions. I look forward to every post you make. My friends and I will be watching Iron Lung for my birthday this week!, I am super excited. I was never interested or brave enough to watch horror or scary videos and movies until you began your scary games playlist. I always knew you could achieve greatness. I wish I could just give you a generous hug. Im not trying to say my experience is worse, or that its better than anyone here, id actually like to raise everyone's appreciation as a whole to you. Thank you for changing my life, thank you for bringing genuine smiles to me consistently, and not bringing drama and politics into your videos. I feel safe and heard even if I dont speak. In any case, this is all.
