HIIT
Did a circuit today, with a benchmark between each set. First benchmark, last benchmark, and HR.
That dot moves so damn much at 170bpm.

I like several features of this system. The one thing that keeps me from using it is the starting beep. IMO it's not anywhere near the start beep of an actual timer. The tone is lower than a start timer. I find myself way delayed in action because that is not the beep I am listening for. I have even connected my BT headset and had the tone played that way. Is there a way to change that in the app or is Mantis looking to create a spy mode so I can use a real timer and then the data from mantis?
Edit: I really appreciate the downvotes. Makes things more difficult to communicate. Bunch of asses.

I'm a pretty inexperienced shooter. Been to the range twice in my life shooting handgun and rifles, and shot .22 a few times when I was younger. My wife bought me the 9mm laser academy for Christmas and I finally opened it up on Tuesday. Holy friggin' awesome. Ton of fun. We were all (wife, myself, 3 sons) taking turns doing it.
I ordered the 45 acp laser and the 5.56 laser too, and last night also ordered the Mantis X. Anybody have any words of wisdom for using laser academy and Mantis X at the same time? Any gotchas? TIA

Folks,
First of all, I'm brand new to this reddit page, so if this problem has been discussed in the past, I apologize.
When I use either my MantisX or Laser Academy app with EITHER my TitanX laser pistol OR my Glock 47 fitted with a laser insert, I often get what I'm calling false trigger pulls which can be identified by the short trigger times (0.03sec) as shown in the picture (Please no comments about my bad trigger scores! :) ). The problem doesn't appear to be a function of the distance between my iPhone 14 and the targets, but of the distance between me and the target. At very short ranges (3 feet or so), shots are recorded correctly with no short shot times. I've played around with the lighting in the room, and different angles between the camera and the targets, but nothing seems to work.
I've tried to play around with the Shot Detection Delay, but first of all, those sliders only seem to be available when I'm in the "Dry" shot detection mode. If my TitanX is connected, the option to change the shot detection delay goes away (as far as I can tell). However, even when in the "Dry" mode, the default detection delay is 0.15 seconds except for "SIRT/DFM/TTrigger" which is set to 0.70 seconds. So, if nothing else, I wouldn't expect those short shot times to be reported.
Any ideas what's going on?
Thanks!
-Dave

I can't pass Challenge 10: Complete the Intermediate Hostage Rescue drill and save all 5 hostages with a score of 85 or more and a time of less than 2.5 seconds. I tried 35 times, failed all, expect once was closest which was 4 rescued out of 5. It is very frustrating. There are many good shots to the aggressor's head but still gives me a score below 85. To start a new drill, I would shoot randomly such as the hostage and I get an 85 or better. The app may have a flaw or bug?
Anyone has any suggestions beside shot, shot and shot more until I pass the drill?

The website is super confusing - I'm pretty sure given that I bought a TitanX that I don't need to spend $150 on laser cartridges etc. But what is needed to use the Laser Academy part of the App (which is the only way of checking actual target registration hits?). It seems to suggest you need special targets?
Thanks in advance!
W
Quick Update:
Here's what you do:
1) Install MantisX app.
2) Print out one of the Laser Academy targets (they have a mini quad code in each corner).
3) Inside the MantisX app, in a drill (eg I just used the free form one), turn on the phones camera and point it at the target (I used a tripod, YMMV). It should just recognize and be good to go
4) Make sure your TitanX does NOT have the permanent laser set on - this will effectively blind hit registration and it will be really random if the hit registers at all.

I have both the Mantis X and Laser Academy for my HK P30L and just received the Collfire setup. The CoolFire works as advertised but I'm seeing a short vertical laser strike instead of the single dot on the target when I use the Coolfire so I'm guessing the laser is still firing while the gun in recoiling. Doesn't this interfere with the accuracy of the Mantis analysis tools?

I'm in the Elite Marksmanship training course, and I'm up to the point where you have to shoot the support hand only drill, and have all 10 shots at a score of 88 or above.
I've been trying for days, and have shot 106 sessions @ 10 shots each in this drill, and haven't been able to do it. I never get every shot above 88. There's always at least one shot that's in the low 80s.
The circle analysis shows nothing that's really helpful. Every segment all the way around the circle is lit in the various drills/sessions. There's sessions where I have 4 shots with "too little trigger finger" and 4 more shots with "too much trigger finger", even when I didn't adjust my trigger finger during the session.
I'm at a loss as to why I can't seem to get this right. I've done many 2-hand drills where I score 96+ average on 10 shots, so I don't think this is an optics/aim/presentation problem. I literally think that my weak-side/support-side muscles simply cannot hold the gun steady.
BTW, this is training with a TitanX.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears.

Long time shooter, first time caller. Just recently bought an X2 as my father's day gift and so far its sweet.
I've never been a great pistol shooter but I have been surprised by my scores thus far. Very much room for improvement but i can now feel the bad shots as they happen which is neat, did somewhat cook my averages before I fixed my calibration and delay settings
I'm considering adding in the smart target/laser to my dry fire but I'm curious how everyone ( or anyone) likes the integration or if I should just stick to dry fire for what it is.
Also screenshots so you can drag me in the comments if need be

I got my TitanX and I love it, however I’m surprised the sights are completely black. All my guns have one or another variation of a white dot on the front sight and a white outline on the rear notch. I can’t see at all with these black sights.
I 3D printed some tiny dots with white filament and they came out perfect. Just a tiny drop of super glue and I now have a visible front sight.
Not so much for the rear. I tried 3D printing the needed shape for the notch but I can’t get crisp enough corners. Have any of you painted your rear sight? Any tip on type of paint to use and on masking accurately?

I’m wanting to purchase the 10x system, and I’m wondering if I need the recommended accessories of targets, target holders, and the dry fire mag system. How needed are they? Budget is fairly tight. Thanks in advance for your help.

Mandatory new shiny thing photoshoot. Had an issue with being shipped the wrong product, Mantis made it right asap. My ammo savings have already passed the cost of the thing.

Does anyone know if a TitanX might be released for M&P pistols?

I got my TitanX (and a laser academy set) a couple of days ago. As first impressions go, I'm really impressed and happy with it. So far, I've done the open training and the intro tutorial and received solid feedback.
However, as a newbie to both shooting (3-6 months) and TitanX, I'm a bit overwhelmed by the possibilities and programs in the app. For the first couple of months, what would be good excercises to train with the TitanX/app to work on the fundamentals?

I got the Mantis X3 for Father’s Day and have been practicing since then. My issue is and I’m not sure if it’s normal but it is not always detecting when I pull the trigger. I attach the Mantis to the bottom of the barrel as close to the trigger or I’ll also use the universal mag adapter. It’s a hit or miss with either. Anyone got any ideas?

I am in Laser Academy and I finished the available training journey steps and the two courses. Do I just practice drills on my own until more comes out, or is there a way to complete sharpshooter 1,2 &3? I am confused because it looks like I should be able to finish the sharpshooter steps.

Shot at 7 yards, 50 rounds each. 1st target May 7th, second target June 19th. Got my Titan x ~May 11th. Vast improvement and I haven't been diligent about daily training, probably average about 4 days a week

Has anyone tried putting the harbor freight light on your titan x? It’s super loose and doesn’t fit into my holster at all. I’ve got the Glock key in the light since I assumed the titan had a Glock rail but it wiggles and honestly doesn’t really look right? Has anyone had this problem before and if so how’d you get it to fit?

Im using the mantis x app with a blackbeard and an x3 on my ar. After messing with the dryfire settings I got it to register like 1 shot in every 20. I've tried doing the troubleshooter but it doesn't seem to pick any shots up either. With a target present shouldn't it just register shots when it sees the lazer anyways? I want to use the x3 features but im kinda stumped here.

Why do I have random red patches floating on my phone screen, see picture, when I try to acquire my smart target. I’m using my iPhone 15 and TitanX.
Thanks

Why do sometime maybe 50/50 I don’t get a pull time and it combines with horizontal?
Also, where do I need to improve to go sub 1 second, don’t know what area to focus on?
Loving the mantis started learning the draw about a month ago on it and have went from about 2 to 1.5 secs on average already!

If I didn't already have an Osight on mine, I would pick one up!

Hi guys!
So I want to get a Titan X to practice with. The thing is, I have quite large hands and long fingers. The distance from the web of my hand to my fingertips is 5.24 inches (13.3 cm), and my finger length is 3.35 inches (8.5 cm).
The only experience I have with Glock was in the army 20 years ago, and I found it frustrating because the length of pull was too short. I know you can modify a real Glock with larger backstraps or aftermarket parts, but from what I can see, the Titan X framework is fixed.
What do you recommend for making the Titan X grip larger? Will slip-on rubber grips or aftermarket Glock backstraps fit onto the Titan X frame? In which case do you have any reccomendations?
Also, is there any news on when the other firearm models will be released, and what types they are? I'm currently facing a dilemma: should I get the 700 now and try to modify the grip, or wait for a model with a larger native grip if something is coming soon?
Thank you!
