I'm thinking of buying Manson M-series MB-1 (2024) OR Manson/Cort Meta series MBM-1

The price difference if really big so I want to know whether it's worth it!

Would be very grateful for any feedback especially from people who own both

I'm a bit surprised how it can loose the color so fast.

This is the most visible but there is also some loss on other part of the guitar.

I also have a MBM2 since 3 years and I never had any issue with the blue color.

Edit: I contacted Manson Guitar Works directly, and they’ve been incredibly helpful.

They’ve offered to collect the guitar free of charge and inspect it at their workshop. If they determine that the finish is defective, they’ll refinish it and return it to me at no cost. If they believe other factors may have contributed to the wear, they’ll get in touch so we can find a fair solution.

I really appreciate how professionally they’ve handled the situation so far. I’ll post another update once they’ve inspected the guitar.

Playing my Manson x Cort Modded MBC1

I’ve been longing for an MB-1 for a while and I was cotemplating a stain black with black hardware.
Just saw the stage version they just released and I was wondering if there were any reviews or comparisson to the regular new era sustainiac version.
It comes down 400 euros and seems to tick all the boxes outside of not having the killswitch.
Any advise on which one I should get and whetjzr the stage is a good offer?

I love the troncaster from Simulation Theory and the recently showcased Wow guitar. Found a luthier near me who can mod my Manson to have laser wire glow and I can custom order high quality fret inlay decals with the red sound waves on it.

Yes I know it's AI but wanted to see what it would look like if I went through with the mod.

After some of your advice and the lovely people at Manson/Imperial Vintage, I took delivery of my prototype 1 of 1 lefty MA. It feels incredible. The flame on the neck is beautiful.

The actual feel of this guitar is stupidly good. I have some really nice instruments but this might feel the best. I was skeptical with that price tag, but I really feel the extra care that went into this guitar with the folks at the UK.

I saw some people are not a fan of the PF-1. Which I find surprising, because it isn't light years away from the BKP nailbomb in my telecaster. I saw some say it's too hot, but maybe that's because I'm used to lollar dBs which obliterate your signal.

I'm finally taking the plunge and buying a Manson. I'm between a satin bluebell MB-1 and a satin black MA. Both have a Sustainiac and the same hardware.

I do have a telecaster already so I'm wondering if it's better to just go for the MB because it's different. On the other hand, the MA is a little different than Matt's guitars so it's not like a "signature" guitar. Anyone with experience with both?

Here’s my beautiful Manson!

Hello all. I'm wiring up a telecaster deluxe much like a Manson and I need some advice here. I've been wrestling with the sustainiac system. I've got it (mostly) wrangled, but a new can of worms opened when I attempted to install a killswitch on that upper horn (just like a Manson)

I wired it directly to the output jack output and ground. I wrongly assumed this would make it so the sustainiac wouldn't have any hot signal running to close to it. Well, it did have signal and caused oscillation so I uninstalled it for now.

Is the killswitch wired differently? Do the leads go in a different direction than near the neck pickup?

I'd like to know if any of you have made changes to the built-in Fuzz Factory settings.

To my ears, the factory settings seem to be dialed in primarily for Plug In Baby. I've heard that by opening the rear cavity of the guitar, it's possible to adjust the other internal Fuzz Factory controls.

Have any of you experimented with those settings? If so, what changes did you make and what kind of results did you get?

I read PRS have had contact from them regarding the silversky (John Mayer’s sig), and have said that they don’t agree with Fender’s stance.

Fender stated that there’s no issue if the body shape deviates enough, but the fact they went after PRS, and seeing the clear difference between the silversky and the fender shapes, I find it strange that fender have said this, then sent a cease and desist to PRS anyway.

Will this be an issue for Manson with the Verona body shape?

I really hope not, because I want one.

For a nearly sold out guitar, I’m sad to not see much for the MA Juniors.

My first proper Manson is an MA Junior in Miami Blue and it’s really one of the best guitars I have ever owned.

Simple. Light. Looks, sounds and plays amazing in my eyes and ears.

It’s such great value for money imo.

NGD! Hello fellow MGW fans, posting to share my fleet of MA guitars, newest being my 2014 MA-1T on the left. It is so much fun having a Sustainiac and Floyd equipped axe! It is the heaviest of the 3 most likely due to the Floyd, it features a SD JB in the bridge. The middle is my 2018 MA2 SuFu with upgraded Gotoh hardware and is my most used guitar, PF-1 in the bridge with series parallel push pull on the tone pot, I love how this guitar sounds and this pickup feels so great under the hands! On the right is my MA2 Midi pad, it features the MBK2 in the bridge and SD Cool Rails in the neck, the cool rails has become one of my favorite neck pickups since having this guitar. It has been really interesting playing 3 guitars built on the same platform but with different bridges and pickup combos.

I didn't notice until putting these photos together that the serial numbers of the two 2014 guitars seem to be one digit apart, were these guitars really next to each other on the production line? Would be a massive coincidence if so. The top body contour is a different shape which would make me think not. Interested to hear your thoughts and if anyone one knows how the serial numbers are read. Have a great day!

Replaced the toggle kill switch with a Tesi chrome kill switch. Much easier to use imo and matches the chrome hardware really well.

Bit of a pain to fit as the cable off the existing toggle was really short, ended up using Wago connectors 🤣 I’ll get it sorted properly when I have more time.

Couldn’t be happier with it!
