With news broadcasting, are they paid for that, or is it just them giving us content with no monetization? And does the number of viewers actually translate into earnings for the company?

Sorry for the triggering title, but this needs to be said: we cannot explain every problem through religion and spirituality.

I am saddened by Malawi’s unemployment crisis. Young people are struggling, families are suffering, and yet instead of discussing structural problems — lack of jobs, weak industries, poor economic policies, corruption, and limited opportunities — society often blames the unemployed.

The most common explanations are spiritual: lack of faith, curses, witchcraft, or punishment from God.

Whether it is religion or superstition, the pattern is similar: complex economic problems are reduced to invisible forces instead of being analyzed through reality.

Belief can provide comfort, but it can also prevent critical thinking. If someone told you they had a conversation with a chicken, most people would question it. Yet similar supernatural claims from religious stories are often accepted without the same scrutiny.

The point is not to attack faith. The point is that Malawi needs practical solutions. We cannot solve unemployment by only praying or blaming individuals for problems created by larger systems.

You know that feeling when you look at an image and it seems almost too perfect to be real? No blemishes, no flaws, nothing out of place. So, like any reasonable person with at least two functioning brain cells, you immediately conclude that it has to be AI-generated.

Well, I recently experienced that same sense of déjà vu, but this time it wasn't with images. It was with music.

A friend played me two songs by a supposed artist called Agulugufe: Lilongwe and Ndili Single. The tracks sounded so polished, so professionally produced, that I found it hard to believe they were sung by an actual Malawian musician. No shade to malawian artists , but these two songs just felt extraordinarily perfect to me.

Then came the big reveal. My friend casually informed me that the songs were AI-generated. What a bummer😒.

The experience left me wondering just how much AI is about to change the music industry. Ai generated artists are already producing songs that are surprisingly catchy, and in some cases they seem capable of competing with or even outperforming human musicians. If the technology continues improving at this pace, it's easy to imagine a future where many artists struggle to make a living from their music. Even SZA has voiced concerns about the growing role of AI in music.

Maybe I'm overreacting, but it genuinely feels like we're witnessing the beginning of a major shift. What do you think? Are AI artists a passing novelty, or are they about to reshape the music industry as we know it?
