Recc' Request What do I spend £60 of points at Boots?
Hi guys! I've been saving up my boots points so I can buy myself some nice make-up. I have been looking into bits like the huda lip stain and some Mac lipsticks, but I wanna ask if there is anything ya'll think are outstanding that I might be missing?
Thanks!

Dior Backstage palette
Hello! I saved to get the Dior Backstage palette as a birthday present to myself. I ordered it from Boots and got it smashed first time, then with a defect the second time. When I returned the damaged one I asked for a replacement in store but they couldn’t offer me a new one in store for the same price (20% off online) so I had to order it again only to get it with colours ready to fall again. I feel like when you pay Dior prices you expect them to be in perfect condition, so I don’t even know what to do. I know it is not so bad, but considering it is the second order, I am very disappointed in Boots. What do you think I should do? I really wanted the palette…
Update: I returned it to Boots and got a refund, definitely not getting a replacement from them

Recc' Request Finding a new full coverage foundation
Like many, I used Estée Lauder Double wear for a decade as my HG for full coverage for my rosacea. My skin is also quite dry.
I have been browsing all the similar posts and trying many alternatives but none I’ve tried so far are truly as full coverage as the double wear or they seem to settle weirdly in dry areas. Also, I can’t have foundation that contains alcohol/fragrance as this irritates my skin.
The ones i’ve tried so far:
- L’oréal true match
- It cosmetics CC cream
- Lancôme teint idoler
- Clinique redness solutions
Please can anyone recommend a truly full full coverage foundation that is still blendable. Thank you 🙏🏼

Bronzing stick suggestions?
Hi!! It’s my first post here, but I’m desperate!!
A brand that does one of my favourite products went under last year, and I am dangerously close to running out of it!! Any suggestions would be really appreciated.
The product is the Ciaté London DewyStix Bronzing Balm. It’s much more of a balm than a thick product, so is a little sheer. The best thing about it is the golden shimmer imo. It’s my go-to eyeshadow for summer looks where I’m lazy.
I’ve attached a swatch on my skin/eye, and the stick itself. On the eye swatch, I’ve applied one layer and blended it lightly with my fingers. I’m a B20 in Chanel foundation, and a 2.5/3N in Dior if that helps at all - sorta medium light?
Ik Chanel do a sort of similar stick, but this one retailer at £25 (around $33 USD) and I don’t want to break my wallet too much replacing it!!
Any help is so appreciated <33333

Help Sought! Help: Sally Hansen airbrush legs spray vs lotion, which one do you prefer and why??
I need to place an order and can’t make up my mind. Which one offers better coverage, which is more waterproof (well sweat proof lol) and which transfers less onto your clothes? Feel free to add any other feedback or reason why you prefer one or the other. Thank you and have a great day 🤍

Help me buy base makeup products
Hi everyone.
I have decided to splurge( a little ) on my base routine. My current base routine is non-existent. I dont wear foundation regularly, and whenever i do end up doing a full beat, my base ALWAYS ENDS UP OXIDIZING. I dont think its just the product's fault because even when i only wear sunscreen, i notice my face ends up darkening slightly by the end of the day.
My skin type is normal, slightly oily around nose but nothing special. I dont have acne prone skin but i do end up getting comedones if i dont look after my skin well.
I live in a hot and humid climate.
I am looking to buy foundation, concealer, contour(not confirmed abt this), primer and setting spray.
My budget is at max $100. I dont mind buying minis as my use is low.
Open to korean products as well.
Currently contemplating jungsaemmol cushion, huda beauty easy bake foundation and elf soft glam satin foundation.

Dupe for old Clinique lipstick
I have a very old Clinique lipstick which I have got pretty much every last drop from and I am searching for a dupe.
The texture is almost sheer like Black Honey sheer but has a little more shimmer and a little heavier so it's more buildable.
Shade is between fuschia pink and crimson red depending on how much you apply.
Any idea welcome.

Recc' Request Best bronzers for cool toned skin
Hi guys!
I’ve very recently learnt that if you have cool toned skin (like I do) then some bronzers will naturally pull more orange on you. Now I know that, I’m really noticing it - I mean I did before but I just thought that was how they were supposed to look! Some don’t look terrible but I’d love to try one that actually suits my skin tone.
Do any of my cool skin-toned besties have any recommendations? x

Help Sought! What would you do if you can spend £30 on Sephora?
I have a £30 gift voucher to spend at Sephora. I had a few options floating in my head but I don’t know what to try first. I really wanted to try R.E.M’s glitter quad eyeshadow palettes, or her highlighter. Otherwise, I wanted to try MAC’s velvet teddy powder blush.
I’ve been doing makeup for a couple years but I’m only just being introduced to high end makeup, I was wondering if there were other brands who did glittery makeup better than REM? Are MAC’s blushes worth it?

Help Sought! Has anyone tried clarins double serum foundation?
I’m looking into more lightweight, luminous foundations. I’ve been using estee lauder double wear in the past, but I find myself wanting something that looks a little more natural. I’m unsure whether it’s actually worth the price or if there are better options out there.
Thank you

Recc' Request Recs for some kind of body tint?
This is a bit of a blind spot for me so apologies in advance.
I'm doing my own bridal makeup and am looking for something to put on my neck and shoulders to help even my skin tone out a bit. Luckily my face/foundation is a close match to my general skin tone, so I don't need anything too heavy. I'm thinking I may need a tinted moisturiser or body oil of some kind? But I'm a bit lost so could use some pointers!

Is there any concealer that will reliably cover spider veins on nose and cheeks. Not got many but they are standing out more as I become older. I don't particularly want to get sclerotherapy. Thanks

Recc' Request Clutch clothing glue
I've recently been struggling with the heat and chafing with shorts rolling up.
I recently saw an advert for the clutch fashion glue for clothes and wondered if anyone has used it and if they liked it or not! :)

I loveeee L’Oréal true match skin tint for day time. I’m going to a wedding next month so looking for something as similar as possible that will last longer throughout the day into the evening - any recommendations? Any budget as long as it’s worth it!!
Also a primer that works well alongside the tint would be so helpful ❤️

Help- Revolution cream contour shade match
Does anyone know of a concealer that matches the colour of the circled shade on the revolution ultra cream contour palette?
It's a perfect match for my skintone and I use it for pretty much everything but dont want to have to repurchase the whole palette every time I run out of it.
Thanks!

Discussion What is one beauty product you will always love but never forgive the brand for discontinuing?
For me, it’s the original Garnier BB cream/Miracle Skin Perfector in the long, skinny tube. This was my go-to product for years and I was absolutely distraught when they discontinued it. The application was flawless and it just looked fabulous on my skin. The funny thing is, they always sold both this one and another in a fatter, stumpier tube; the latter literally looked like greasy cake batter, smelt like cheap fake tan, and the application was terrible, but they’re STILL producing and selling that one! Make it make sense 😤

Need a concealer that does not crease under my eyes
I have used 5 concealers this year and they all crease under my eyes by noon. I have oily skin. And my skin tone is medium tan with warm golden olive undertone. Tarte shape creased bad and ran ashy on me Nars radiant creamy oxidized and turned orange.
Looking for something that holds up all day and actually matches warm olive undertone. Budget is not an issue. Also I am open for setting powder recommendation if that helps with the creasing.

Recc' Request Dark green eyeshadow (palette?)
Hey friends,
I am doing my own make up for my wedding and I am wearing dark green. I'd like an eyeshadow palette or suggestions for eyeshadow singles with similar colours - I need it to be decent quality, good pigmentation and deffo staying power. When I search for a green eyeshadow palette I get overwhelmed with the amount of brands I've never heard of and have no idea if they're any good or not. I was looking at Huda beauty Emerald Obsession but that only seems to be available on ebay and I'm not sure I trust that!
Only other caveat is that it needs to be available in the UK
Grateful for any suggestions!

Recc' Request Best palettes
Hey all! I love makeup but I'm always scared of spending money on things I don't like. I only have two palettes currently: ultimate utopia NYX, and makeup revolution reloaded visionary palette. They're both running out, and I have a few smashed shadows too. I'd like to replace these, ideally with one big palette or 2-3 smaller ones. I'm looking for a good range of colours, love shimmers/metallic shadows. I'm very pale so yellow is not necessarily a colour I'd look for lol but I like whites, browns, blues, purples, silver etc
Any suggestions for these that won't break the bank but are good products?! Thanks!!
