Eyeshadow pallet recommendation

I’m in search of an eye shadow pallet that’s comparable to Natasha Denona or Mario eyeshadow pallets. Could anyone recommend a good low tox Korean brand?
I’m looking for shimmery/glitry as well as browns, nudes and pink shades.

[Makeup Help] The hype around Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm...am I missing something?

So I have been using Danessa Myricks Blurring Balm for awhile now (have used it long enough to start hitting pan) and unsure if I should repurchase. Lots of people swear by it as a holy grail product, but I don't get that same feeling. I don't ever remember being "wow-ed" sadly, but really want to love this product. I have large pores and combo skin so was thinking this would give the illusion of blurring and make the rest of my makeup sit better on the face.

Am I using it correctly? I have swirled with 3 fingers and buffed into my skin, scooped a little and warmed in my fingers before applying, changed up the amount used, etc. Also, what difference am I supposed to be noticing? What have you noticed it does well for you?

[Makeup Help] Waterproof Eyeliner for swimming in the ocean beach

Hii! I’m going to Spain soon and I’ll be spending a lot of time at the beach swimming in the ocean. I’m looking for a waterproof eyeliner that stays on really well and doesn’t smudge or transfer, even after being in the water.

If anyone has any recommendations, I’d really appreciate it! Also, if possible, I’d love suggestions for a good waterproof mascara that holds up just as well. Ideally a brown eyeliner and mascara. I have oily skin, so I’m not sure what would be ideal.

[Makeup Help] ISO foundation alternatives to Fenty Soft Matte (":

Upvotes

Does anyone have any recommendations for brands to check out since I'm apparently going to have to replace my entire base? I use shade 360 which again is a bit too orange but nothing a blue color mixer couldn't fix. I honestly have never found anything that wasn't too red, too light, or too dark on me so it's been good enough to me all these years. I've just recently heard about fenty discontinuing their soft matte foundations and I'm soooo frustrated about it. I've had such a hard time finding foundation shade matches let alone formulas that don't make me feel like removing my skin.

[Makeup Help] Advice for Under Eye Creasing

I’m hoping I can get some help to make my routine even better!! I don’t wear a lot of makeup. Typically just my moisturizer mixed with bronzing drops as a base, followed by a couple swipes of a milk under eye cooling stick before I apply some Becca’s under eye brightening corrector and a bit of Mario’s blush. I finish with Elf’s power grip setting spray.

I hate how easily and quickly my under eye corrector creases and how often I feel like I’m smoothing it out with my finger. I’m considering adding a powder to set it in place.

My questions are: what type of powder would be best here, especially since I don’t really use foundation or would be applying it to my entire face. Is powder the best move? Should I be using something different than the milk stick? Also, are there any setting sprays that are less scented and sticky feeling than Elf’s?

I have some sensory issues that prevent me from wearing a lot of makeup and even what I use now feels unbearable sometimes. Thank you all for your help!!

Hello!

Does anyone have any recommendations for mattyfing tinted moisturizer or light weight foundation for a lazy office worker? Just something I can slap on my face with my hands in the morning and maybe some light powder over top. I have acne prone oily combo skin and will get oily after about 5/6 hours.

Ideally drugstore or Asian beauty but will go to Sephora if I must.

Lols while I'm here - pls recommend brow products for a natural look. Been using dip brow but want to try something new

[Makeup Help] Plumping lip balms

Upvotes

Hey I am looking for a plumping lip balm that is clear and not glossy. I tried the ELF one and it's only ok. It's not that plumping and a bit too thick. I prefer drug store brands, but I would be interested in any recommendations.

Estée Lauder DW alternate

I hate the new Estée Lauder DW reformulation but I loved the old one and used it for years. Any new suggestions like the old formula? The new one slides off my face, oxidizes and looks orange in certain areas

[Makeup Help] Help for setting sprays

Upvotes

I currently have the elf power grip dewy setting spray. I'm looking to replace it with a nyx setting spray after finishing it, but I have dry skin, and I want my makeup to last. So I was wondering which nyx setting spray is best for dry skin and lasts a long time?? I'm okay with suggestions other than nyx.

[Makeup Help] An Amazing Mascara

I have to rave about the Tartelette XL Tubing Mascara because it has completely taken first on best mascara of all time. First of all, it makes my lashes look SO long and full without feeling heavy or clumpy. It gives that nice full dramatic look but still clean and separated. my favorite part? Taking it off, literally slides right off with warm water in little tubes instead of smearing everywhere or making me scrub my eyes. I don’t have to tug or pull at my lashes, and it doesn’t leave me feeling like I’m ripping half of them out at the end of the day. if you’ve been thinking about trying a tubing mascara, this is your sign. Long, full lashes and the easiest removal ever, please I’m obsessed😫😫

(however with that being said it isn’t the cheapest mascara option either :( in my makeup routine that is the MOST expensive thing i use lol 😆)

[Makeup Help] Best concealer for pimples

In search of a concealer to hide my adult acne. I swear once I turned 30 my face thought it was time to relive my teen years, but that’s another story for a different sub. If anyone can recommend a product to hide those big red angry zits and how to apply it, I would be forever grateful.

[Makeup Help] Skin Tint Help / Suggestions

Hello!

Looking at getting a new skin tint. So far I’ve tried L’Oréal True Match Tinted Serum and Maybeline Super Stay Skin Tint and while I thought they went on great initially I noticed both started to separate on my face. What I LOVED was the Erborian CC Red Correct, but I’m pale AF and noticed it was too dark for my skin, other than that I thought the CC Red Correct went on smoothly and held up on my face really nicely.

Looking at trying something new and the Elf Halo Glow Skin Tint caught my eye. I would describe my skin as dry and matt. Literally no oil insight besides my nose. By the look of Elf’s skin tint this could be a good match for my skin type but I wanted to see people’s thoughts.

Thanks!

Also maybe I’m applying the other skin tints wrong, let me know:

Prepped skin with moisturizer and primer.

L’Oréal - Applied w/ brush
Maybeline - Applied w/ brush
CC Red Correct - Applied w/ fingers

Best powder for desert climate?

Does anyone have recommendations for a finishing powder that works well in a VERY dry desert climate? I grew up the desert and could never wear any kind of face makeup without it immediately cracking and caking, but I could wear it fine once I moved somewhere more humid. Now I don't really wear face makeup, but I do want to get some kind of finishing powder or something I can wear over my eye makeup and just as a general face product to even things out a little or make my skin look a little nicer. But now that I live in the desert again, I know some options won't work, so I'm hesitant to drop $50+ on something like Charlotte Tilbury when I know there's a decent chance I won't be able to use it. I've tried finishing sprays before and I really don't like how they feel, so I'd rather not go that route. I'm early 40s, mildly sensitive skin (acne prone with the wrong products), and normal-for-the-desert dry skin. I don't want anything heavy, like a liquid fountain - just something light and fast. Have any other desert folks found something that works well?

TIA!

Any similar options to Chanel concealer color B30?

I'm tired of spending $50+ for a small tube of concealer that doesn't last long at all. Does anyone have a recommendation for a similar product to the Chanel Les Beiges Serum Concealer?

Makeup Brush Cleaning Help!!

Hello my girls, gays, and theys! 👋🏻👋🏻

I need some help with cleaning a specific brush - the Sephora Collection 70.5 mini pro foundation brush. I'm using my usual Beauty Blender bar cleanser and I have one of those silicone pads with all the bumps on it for cleaning them BUT I've legit been at this one for 30 minutes and there's STILL. FOUNDATION. IN. THE. BRISTLES 😩😩

It's just SO incredibly dense in having a hard time cleaning it so if anyone has any tips or any other products they think would do the trick maybe in less than 30 minutes to an hour, I'd greatly appreciate any and all advice! I'm not opposed to buying other cleaning products so please suggest away!

[Makeup Help] Mousse/whipped satin finish foundation?

Has anyone come across any new mousse-like foundations lately? My skin loves that type of formulation and it has been an easy one step product to help with covering up rosacea as a guy. The product I used a few years was discontinued and I’ve been on the constant search for something new! Appreciate any suggestions.

silicone based sunscreen?

I’ve recently realised that my current sunscreen (the beauty of joseon relief sun) has been making my makeup pill. i use some silicone based products (cerave moisturising lotion, innisfree no sebum blur primer) and occasionally the medicube zero pore pads- although i think these are silicone free. anyway, i’ve been researching for a sunscreen that will work with silicone products. a lot of reviews for silicone based sunscreens in general say that they make makeup look cakey and slip around your face which id like to avoid. has anyone had this issue and know of any good options for me? i have quite oily acne prone skin, preferably 50+ spf because i’m pale, and i’m based in the UK so has to be accessible to me here. THANK YOUUU!!!

[Makeup Help] (Setting) Spray for foundation application?

Hi all. I’ve been seeing loads of videos of people loosely applying foundation, sometimes concealer, and sometimes liquid contour then spraying what looks like setting spray BEFORE blending in/working it into the skin. I haven’t been able to find out if they’re using setting spray or something else and am dying to know more!

Is beauty of joseon eyecream safe at 17?

I have had really bad pigmentation since i was very young to the point people keep pointing it out constantly and asking what is wrong with my skin. I have tried vitamin c serums, niacinamide but nothing helps. It is also not genetic as no one in my family has pigmentation. I went to a dermatologist he gave me a cream which didn't help either. I recently saw reviews for this cream and bought it and only realised it had retinal after. It is quite expensive in my country and i don't think i can return it, should i keep using it or stop?

Lip liner colors

How do you find a lip liner color that matches your lipstick? Do I need a lip liner that matches every lipstick I have? I think that would be a bit overkill.

A lip liner just for Revlon Rum Raisin and Raisin rage or just any other shades there might be pink, red, brown etc

Would a clear lip liner or a nude color that matches my lip color work? It feels like such a scavenger hunt finding colors to match or compliment lipstick colors.

That way clear or nude color to match my lips wouldn't clutter up my makeup space.
