I'm into politics and history, they've always been my favourite subjects and I will defo be studying them in my course.

Outside of school I'm getting back into reading. Currently I'm reading "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe" by Douglas Adams. I'm also a BIG fan of musicals. My favourites are Hadestown and Great Comet. TV wise my favourite show is probably BBC Ghosts and I'm super excited for the film (but everytime I feel myself being attracted to mathew baynton I feel like I've personally betrayed Michael Collins lol)

As the title says, I'm a 26M portuguese guy that moved to Dublin (Portobello area) this March for work and a Neuroscience PhD. Looking for friends in the city, as the only friend I had made so far (another portuguese guy at my gym) ended up leaving for Germany for work some weeks ago

I'm into hitting the gym ofc (love calisthenics, but also freeweights), reading (mostly fantasy, like LoTR, ASOIAF, Brandon Sanderson), movies (drop me your Letterboxd), guitar, travelling, concerts and gigs (went to watch Tame Impala and will be going to Deftones next month!) and all sorts of nerdiness - videogames, boardgames, DnD, TTRPGs and fantasy settings in general - would love to get a group of 4 or more for regular boardgames/DnD :)))

About a month ago, I made a post here about a few casual football games we organise around Dublin.

To be honest, I thought a handful of people might show up.
Instead, we’ve met people from all walks of life people who had just moved to Dublin, people looking to get out of the house, people who didn’t know anyone, and people who simply missed having a kickabout.

Looking at this photo, it’s mad to think that most of these people were complete strangers not long ago.
What started as a football game has become something much more. New friendships, group chats, post-match pints, and familiar faces to look forward to seeing every week.

In a city where it’s easy to feel like everyone already has their own circle, it’s been genuinely heartwarming to see so many people connect through something as simple as football.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who took a chance and came along. You’ve helped build something really special. ❤️
