We are fast approaching our 5-year anniversary at UMD, and I am incredibly proud that we’ve translated nearly 300 chapters across dozens of Type-Moon manga series among numerous other projects. All our projects compiled here for reference.
While I’ve never wanted to place blame, it sometimes feels as though the community takes these translations for granted. Despite numerous recruitment drives, we haven't had a new member stick around in nearly three years. I usually keep these struggles private, but as members retire or move on, our remaining crew is stretched to the absolute limit, resulting in significant delays for the series we work on.
Turas Realta, Heaven’s Feel, and Unlimited Blade Works now face massive backlogs—ranging from 4 to 7 chapters—simply due to a lack of typesetting support. I’ve personally stepped in to cover the slack on the translation front, but the reality is that this just isn't sustainable and has continued for years. Fate/Zero currently has no translator, and Shimousa is stalled without a typesetter, despite two chapters already being translated.
As you can see in the chart below, our workflow is currently overwhelmed. Typesetting has become our most significant bottleneck, and our remaining staff is facing genuine fatigue from trying to keep these series alive. We are at a critical point, and we need your help to fill these gaps and keep our projects moving forward.
We are urgently seeking:
Typesetters:
(Note: Thankfully, we've managed to recruit for a majority of the Typesetting positions that we were sorely lacking in. That said, if you are experienced, please still reach out!)
- Mahoyo Anthologies (69 chapters remaining, casual pace welcome)
Translators:
- Turas Realta (Monthly chapters)
- Mortalis Stella (Monthly chapters)
- Fate/Zero (24 chapters remaining)
- Mahoyo Anthologies (69 chapters remaining, casual pace welcome)
If you have experience in any of these roles and want to help us keep these stories alive, please reach out via DM either here or on discord: k.yusuke

if someone was able to summon Thames of its fourth stage of Gold and Silver, it would become an indestructible fortress as big as London itself, and even Aoko wielding her most powerful abilities would be unable to overcome it

This was a fan cast suggestion someone suggested on their Twitter post and I was like “wait… they might be cooking something.” And I saw people in the replies taking a liking to this fan cast. Not only that, but Aoko’s JP va for the upcoming movie also voices Asuna.

Let's say Beo fights Aoko, and Touko is unconscious and somewhere far away. How do you think this fight would turn out, and what would happen? Aoko's Magic Bullets would still be useless, but how will she apply True Magic against Beo

Discounting chapter 3 which is narrated by Aoko

One of my favorite tropes to see in the media is when beings who hold such power that they simply eclipse everyone else within their respective verse, are brought to their knees by having to face “Death” from a normal human being.
The Sin Archbishop of Gluttony, Louis Arneb, would plunder a myriad of names from individuals who held Divine Protections that were loved by the World, assassins who put fear into the hearts of the Gustekan people, and even those with ties to the Witch Cult.
The Golden Werewolf named after the sun, Lugh Beowulf, was able to effortlessly deal with century-old Ploys that defied logic, as well as any other phenomenon derived from magecraft.
This is where we encounter the first similarity between the two, as besides them both roaming the world in childlike forms and having fangs, they both have never once experienced the taste of being challenged, feeling mortal or knowing that someone or something else stood above them.
Therefore, when they came across seemingly normal human beings like Shizuki and Subaru, they assumed that it would be another easy feast causing them to reach the height of their hubris. Louis was beyond ecstatic to eat Subaru’s name, while Beowulf defied orders from his master in a brazen charge to kill Shizuki.
In spite of the warning given by Subaru who tells Louis that she will regret it, or Touko who tells Beowulf to not kill Shizuki, they still continue forth regardless and as a result are able to truly experience pain and fear for the first time.
Louis is absolutely broken by seeing a “human” that’s capable of withstanding death over and over, having their soul defiled again and again - not being able to understand the concept of love which allows Subaru to endure everything, she’s rendered useless as she watches her dream of a happy life be torn to shreds as she cries in the white world like the child that she is.
Beowulf dies for the first time in his life at the hands of Soujuurou’s attack, with the precision and timing of the attack making it clear that there wasn’t an ounce of hesitation in Shizuki’s mind (so much so to where Shizuki had completely forfeited any thoughts around self-preservation). As Beowulf collapses into the snow gazing into the eyes of the “Death” that is Soujuurou Shizuki, he can only continue to cry like the child that he appears to be.

Will the LN volumes be a continuation of the main VN story or just a retelling of it? Seen some conflicting informations about it
Hope it's the former tho

Yes, even with Heracles being a Servant, think about this assuming that Soujuurou is capable of damaging him
