Discussion Butch Fashion Megathread
Hey everyone, as our community grows we will be trying to help guide this sub to be its stated goal, a safe haven for all masc and gnc transfem people. In that spirit, we are hoping to consolidate fashion related posts to this mega thread! This is a thread for advice on fashion, showcasing your selfies of outfits, and any questions you have for your fellow butches.
Selfies of people in outfits are still okay to post on the main sub, obviously not every photo of someone in clothes is fashion related, but posts centered around clothing should be contained to this thread.

Selfie I am torn between presenting the way I feel most comfortable and presenting in a way where I am perceived as my correct gender
In a world without queerphobia I would not need surgeries or long hair

Discussion body hair positivity
Just putting this out there because I'm about to undergo a breast augmentation in a few weeks and I've realized in doing so that there is such a limited representation of trans-femme/trans-butch bodies that embrace body hair? Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places but it was a challenge to find modern examples online. You're allowed to feel however you want about body hair and if you need to remove it to feel comfortable and safe more power to you. But I also want us to normalize deconstructing the underlying patriarchal mechanisms that cause the majority of women to shave. You can feel confident in your femme/butch identity and still be hairy because body hair is universal. Normalize excessively lusciously hairy women 🥂 I don't think there is anything wrong with removing hair, hell I'm doing it in certain parts. I'm just offering an alternative vision where we (the human race) collectively destigmatize body hair (especially when it comes to women) to give everyone more freedom, amen 🙏🏻

Rant Anyone else jealous of those with smooth faces?
I feel like I was born extra wrong. Especially seeing cis guys with smooth faces and no beard shadow makes me so envious.

Question Tucking boxer briefs?
Maybe I’m just looking in the wrong place, but it seems that no matter how much I scour the internet I can’t find anywhere that does tucking/gaff boxier briefs, the best I can find is boyshorts. If that’s all that exists then I suppose that will be fine but I just prefer boxer briefs to prevent chafing as I work a manual labour job. Any recommendations for where to look? I’m Canadian btw, it doesn’t have to be a Canadian brand but it would need to be able to ship to Canada at least. Thanks! :)

my predicament
hi so i am an mtf trans person and i have a few questions because im quite early in my transition and might have a couple unusual preferences.
so i was born male and just 3 months ago started a low dose of estradiol and am still calling myself male in public although i look quite feminine and on occasion people will mistake me for a masc lesbian but often people will just think im a “twink” or a gay boy which i dont mind too much because at the worst they think of me as a very feminine boy and often i leave people quite confused as too what my gender is and more often than not when i say im a boy people think im trans masculine and thats why i look so androgynous.
okay now too my point, i still consider myself a boy in public spaces and even with most of my family because my plan is that at some point on estrogen i will look more and more feminine too the point where i will tip the scale from just androgynous too more towards feminine and go from a feminine boy into a masculine girl but until that happens im going to continue too present as a boy in public is that normal? or is it unusual and too be honest when people mistake me for a trans masculine boy that makes me happy even though i want to be a girl. id want too be i guess what youd call a masculine girl or the kind that has short hair and works in the trades especially because i live in the deep countryside of canada its actually very unusual for girls too be that very girly type.
i feel that even if i continue to call myself a boy until the end of school i wouldn’t mind it if people think im trans masculine too be honest im very confused because i know i want too be a girl but i also feel connected to being masculine but not fully male like a trans boy almost but this confuses me alot maybe its because ive been the “femboy” type of appearance i feel almost euphoria from dressing masculine but looking feminine physically can someone explain if this is normal or just a sort of denial or internal transphobia??! im so f****** confused

Question recommended reading for a transfem butch?
hi folks! I have a question regarding resources. I'm looking for recommendations on literature that helped you understand that you could be both butch and transfem. that can be stuff that's either explicitly about the overlap in identities or that focuses on butchness while not being transfem-exclusionary. I am also open to hearing about butch media that you *wouldn't* recommend due to it containing covert or overt transmisogyny.
for transparency's sake, I will say this stuff isn't intended for me, it's for a close friend. I am a genderqueer butch on T, and this friend is a "guy" who recently got bangs and has been hanging out at a lot of transfem events and is experimenting with he/she pronouns but doesn't feel like a woman. I have a suspicion that the idea of butchness (in a trans-affirming context) will be really helpful for her to learn more about. I floated the idea and she said she'll read whatever I send her. books, essays, zines, and honestly even films and video essays are all on the table. I would love to hear input!

Hi Ladies
I’m new here, I am so glad I found this group. I am a trans woman that is a Tomboy lesbian that loves hunting and fishing. Are there any one out there that likes hunting and fishing?

Selfie Tried growing out a bald head
Wanted to grow out a Chelsea cut from a completely bald head, and I didn’t want to look like a hedgehog playing for my band. Now this look is growing on me.
