I'm not expecting a free degree/automatic completion of pre-reqs or anything like that, but I'm wondering what kinds of accommodations are realistic for current students. If registration, transcripts, graduation, or job applications are delayed/inaccessible because of this incident, has anyone heard whether MRU plans to offer fee waivers, tuition credits, or other support? I'm supposed to graduate next year and I'm starting to get concerned. :(

My Alberta student loan application currently says “Under Review” and that it may take up to 45 days. I don’t remember seeing this in previous years, so I’m just wondering how long it actually took for yours to be processed. I’m going into my final year of university, if that makes any difference. I LOVE the fact that I now have to collect and send multiple different forms of proof to MRU that an employer needs my transcripts, just so they will send them. I could’ve just payed the $25 and been on my merry way if it was not for their incompetence and inability to fix their website😭😭 I just want a job man

Hello so this is probably a stupid question, but I'm planning to apply to the early childhood education program. It says I need two grade 12 courses and and the program requirement is 30-1 English. Would the 30-1 English count towards the two grade 12 courses or would I need to have another one?

Has anyone recently received a notification that MRU requested another transcript? I am in bio major program. I saw some post regarding UEO students getting their transcript requested.

Hi everyone,
I recently had an appointment with an MRU Nursing admissions advisor, and I’m a bit confused about how the competitive average is calculated.
She told me they would use two Group A courses to calculate my competitive average: one prerequisite course (such as English, Math, Biology, or Chemistry) and one other eligible Group A course (such as Social Studies, a second language, etc.).
She also said that my other required courses (English, Math, Biology, Chemistry, etc.) still need to meet the minimum requirement of 60%, but it sounded like once they meet the minimum, they aren’t used in the competitive average. We then moved on to talking about CASPer.
Did I understand this correctly? Does this mean I mainly need to ace those two courses for my competitive average, while my other required courses can stay in the 70s as long as they meet the minimum requirements? Or do higher marks in the other required courses still improve my competitiveness?

Since the student portal is down that has the schedule builder in it, CAN WE STILL CHANGE OUR CLASSES SOMEHOW? MY SCHEDULE IS COOKED RIGHT NOW WHAT'S UP WITH THIS SCHOOL.

I am taking a ton of electives this year and have decided to take some ANTH courses and possibly go for an ANTH minor since I enjoyed some previous classes.

I registered for methods in archeology (2104) and methods in biological anthropology (2102) in the same semester. I did well in biology labs last year so I have some experience in the lab.

Now here’s my question, are these courses too heavy/hard to take together? I will be in 3 other courses but one is online. I would appreciate any advice or info from anyone who’s taken either of these classes before.

Hi, so I applied for residence with accessibility accommodations since I wanna live in a town house with my esa cat. I was sent an email to choose roommates early. I was waiting on my friend who applied for residence because he didn’t get an early roommate selection email so I never chose my roommate. The early choosing thing ended and now I have notification saying I’m Waiting on Room Assignment. My friend has this too, he never applied with accommodations. My friend has lived in res before and this is my first time applying. Will I be put into roommate selection again? Will they automatically assign me to a room? Hey everyone! While dropping MGMT 2262 lecture during the add/drop period I forgot to drop the lab (501) and I got an email saying I owe the money for the lab. Is it possible to not pay this as I have no way possible to do the lab as I am not registered in the course anymore!? I am not doing any other summer classes by the way.
