DISCUSSION 2026 Draftees: Where Will They Be in 2027
Since the majority of last years draftees have announced their plans for next year I decided to compile a list of where they ended up. I wanted to include all draftees and not just those that made final rosters last season, so if thereâs someone you donât remember from this past pro season that is why. Kinda crazy that only 4 girls out of 32 are staying where they were last year. Indy and Omaha are the only ones who retained some of their talent

QUESTION Is the website telling us something?
I saw someone post about the Vegas Thrill unofficially being announced for 2027, which is now taken down. So I looked in the main site and saw that neither the Vegas Thrill nor MLV L.A. have been posted on the website... what gives?

FREE AGENCY DC, LA and Vegas signings
I know everyone is worried about these teams. But I think we need to remember a few facts.
Fact 1, this time last year we didn't even know if there was going to be a season.
Fact 2, the set 6 podcast, jenna Rosenthal specifically, has said they have players signed already. She said it in episode 7 and the latest episode, episode 11.
Fact 3, last year we didn't know a single player for any team until August 7th when free agency started.
Fact 4, we are still in the middle of VNL.
Fact 5, Dallas didn't announce team information until a couple months before the start of the season.
So we are still a month away from when players started getting announced last year and teams might be waiting for VNL to end before making announcements. And they all 3 have until December to get everything straightened out.

NEWS Two more big losses
People smarter than me probably knew this was already a thing but I stand on the belief these two leagues are going to destroy each other. For being so different they still hurt one another

QUESTION Question.
The Community clearly disagrees with me,
The comment below. Is it what I said or how I said it. Do me a honest favor and read my statements below. And let me know what you think. Its genuinely helpful. Ty for the time.
OG Post!
Free Agency
Guys. Private Equity Monopoly has been killed on two things. Player name recognition and Marketing. They will use their economic power to fix both. Do not be surprised when they reveal the Lovb Nebraska Cornhuskers cranes and others. MLV was beating them with a quarter of the budget, if. They will not let that happen again.
VS
League One Volleyball has had a hard time overcoming two major hurdles in their development as a League. My opinion, those are, the way their teams look/ how they are marketed, the color and symbol thing,. and two the lack of named talent. I don't mean Vargas but they haven't been able to capitalize on the Olympians who returned home as much as needed to compete with the most recent NCAA alum that bring American eyes. The American public has gotten to know Elena Scott more than JWO. They have many of the younger and best individuals but are still limited by their aspirations of being the best league in the world so the undeveloped athletes stays behind, aka goes to MLV. In order to gain some of those eyes. They are using their economic power to get MLV players with name presence. Natalia Valentin-Anderson was a regular player for PR. She is now a name across American and International Volleyball. The opportunity for more money, higher competition and she gets go back home. Omaha. MLV cannot compete other than. Supernovas but NVA or Kami Miner?
Solving problem A.
They will use that economic power to find the correct marketing to fix their secondary issue. The Nebraska Cranes, Houston Something about space and the SF Somethings are coming.

DISCUSSION Fleeced by LOVB?
Seeing all of the LOVB posts of so many big name MLV moving over, is anyone else feeling a little gutted? I really like the MLV and know theyâve also signed some former LOVB players for this next season, but am a little nervous about what this is going to do to competition levels and long term staying power for MLV.

instagram.comLots of players listed in their âthank you post.â Of course doesnât mean much, but as youâre looking at 2-3 teams with very little out there on moves theyâve made, those are some big names on that list.

NEWS 5 for 5 Plan Passed, Likely Effects MLV 2027
With this being passed a majority of top talent amongst college volleyball seniors will be given a 5th year of eligibility. This could cause the draft to be cancelled for the year and for there to be very minimal college players added to rosters this year. There are some exceptions with players such as Natalie Ring, Hannah Sherman, Marianna Singletary, Caroline Kerr, Alexis Stucky, Lizzie Carr, and Whitney Lauenstein already on their 5th year they will be eligible to be picked up by MLV. Keep an eye on seniors youâre a fan of to see who chooses to forego their 5th year
