I have to take 2 trains to get to North Springs station, to then take a bus to work. Don't ask why I do this, I just do. But the bus has been absent the past few days, making me take a different bus that drops me off close but I still have to walk 10 minutes and it makes me late. Today the bus is still not there, but the bus driver was walking by and said the bus was on the other side. Like we're supposed to know that. Walking with the bus driver and we pass the little, I don't know what you call it, outdoor enclosed office? And a woman pops out and pulls the bus driver in. They come out and the bus driver walks back to their employee office. The woman that pulled her in says she had to go take a drug test. And I tell her this is the 3rd day this bus has not been running, and this is news to her. She didn't know that, so she gets on the phone to contact someone about this and tells them that I'm standing there telling her this bus has not run for 3 days now. Like, they didn't know this. This woman was great and did what she could and I thanked her profusely for making that call. But still... why are they just now finding out about this? Do they not know when the busses aren't running? I know that Marta is incompetent, we all know this. But I didn't know it was this bad.

Has anyone been able to find any breeze cards at the train station. I went to H.E. Holmes, Five Points and GA State over the weekend, but the attendants that I did see did not know which kiosk had the cards. Has anyone had any luck finding any?

Heavy MARTA presence with two APD officers stationed on the other side. Interesting.
Edit: This is Midtown Station

hello everyone,
I learned about their existence the other day flying back home AFTER clearing TSA 🤦🏻♀️. I visit frequently and don't have a new breeze card yet. I used my credit card during the past visit but will need a breeze card for weekly and monthly pass anyway.
I won't be there for the next few months, so is anyone able and willing to get me the WC breeze cards as I would love to have one as a memory that I've been there during the WC? of course I'll pay them and would even add idk, maybe additional 5$ (or the price of a coffee in your favorite coffee shop?), for the trouble. I would highly appreciate it. also would pay for shipment of course.
thank you 🙏🏻
(regarding rule 7: I'm not offering rides or services, so I hope this request is ok?)

There’s a major flaw in Dickens’ reasoning for shifting Beltline Rail
I went to Ladybird for the first time tonight and I was extremely underwhelmed. The crowd there was one of the worst crowds of people I’ve ever encountered in Atlanta. And that’s saying a lot. I did not grow up in the nice areas. I grew up south of I-20. I’ve seen a lot of belligerence.
Moving on, I got to thinking about Beltline Rail because there’s obviously a huge tract of empty land next to it for rail ROW and the owner actively lobbies against Beltline Rail expansion. The reasons the business owners cite is *“disruption to businesses and reduced income.”* Dickens has decided to shift his sights to the Southside and capitulate to the business owners.
But there’s a major flaw in their reasoning which proves that they’re all lying:
Even if rail is built on the Southside first, it would need to be extended eventually up the Eastside trail which means that construction disruption is inevitable and always was inevitable no matter what. This excuse is simply a red herring for the true goal which is getting the project cancelled in totality.
The valid solution…. The obvious solution… would be to roll in a business-support program during construction so that employees and their rich business owners can manage to survive during the 6 to 9 months of construction. Keep in mind that almost every building on the Beltline has a dual front that also faces local streets.
What are your thoughts?

Looks like this one held up despite somebody’s best efforts! Maybe it’s the thicker glass?

Hey there!
Have Verizon and whenever I go in tunnels on MARTA I lose signal but seems like my friends with AT&T and T-mobile have no issues.
Any idea why that is?
Thanks in advance!

My friend got a ticket for fare evasion, and the police told them it would be a fine they could pay online, but now they got mail with a court summons, and when they called the 311 said they had to come in, there was no option to pay online. My friend lives far away, and I'm surprised by this. Has anyone else had this issue? Are they just cracking down on MARTA because of the new stuff. This ticket was a bit ago as well, before the world cup.

Maybe it ends up connecting to MARTA?
...and I've already dealt with 1 stuck train, 2 panhandlers, and 1 dude loudly arguing with himself
Back to business as usual 😔

You guys ready for the Marta frequencies to go done :/?? Kinda bummed. I see the potential Marta has. Side tangent I’m curious on what they will cover with today’s board meeting. Longer I live in the ATL area the more passionate I get about wanting Marta to be better….

I asked some Marta employee if they knew if the machines had them, and this cunt asked me how much for one. I’m all for hustling but she literally had a stack of them. I refused to participate in her scamming. Reporting this bitch

Both colors are still available at the ride store at the airport. Got them this morning.
One year ago MARTA revealed that CEO Collie Greenwood had resigned.
A new CEO has not been announced.
Hopefully MARTA will provide an update on the delayed Stadler CQ400 trains and the implementation of a new fare system and new fare gates.
MARTA will provide a FIFA World Cup recap in its working session at noon, immediately preceding the board meeting.
MARTA CEO search committee meeting tomorrow at 2:30pm.

The gates are wide open and flashing red lights this morning. Now down here waiting for a train and there’s an alarm going off. Oh the joys of MARTA.

Broken pane at the south entrance of the Buckhead station Tuesday morning. This is the first one here I’ve seen.

Does anyone know where the black World Cup cards are. What station and machine and how long ago did you get it? Thanks!

Does the gold line now do tap to pay from the airport (going to the end of the line) Haven't been to ATL in a while and have the breeze app, but if you can just tap now that'd be a welcome surprise.
