Been collecting for about 15 years now, there's still more I know I have, just cant find it, but I finally have a place to display it all

Found this while I was out shopping for my birthday(has everything in box but the map), but I seen it has warranty stickers(second photo), will it still play fine cuz I am way too afraid to try and remove them myself since I’ve been hunting this one for a while

she hawts when we battle Leminia is my best choice she is so awesome. She is the most powerful person. We can say Alex and Kyle but Leminia is the best. She is my favorite I beat people with her. Love her.

Has anyone else gotten to this point in the remaster?

I found it incredibly difficult versus almost every other part of the game.

I had to grind for at least 5-7 levels for my party, every time I went through the floors I ran out of star lights (I had to go back and buy 20 more), and I had to fine tune my tactics macros a couple times that otherwise worked perfectly for the rest of the game.

I was stuck on this for at least a week, and in “game hours” multiple hours.

Did anyone else get to this point and find it to be the most ridiculous dungeon in the game?

Side note: the Boss was a cake walk since my whole party was at lvl 64 even though I had like zero star lights left.

What are the major differences from the remaster too lunar 1 and 2

From what I know the dub, and music is different (I have music mods for both games) But what else is different?

is the story and gameplay the same? also how close is classic mode to the original 2 games because I wanna def do the game on classic most likely. (Also can I switch between classic and remaster whenever I want?)

How is the Sega Saturn version of the first lunar game different from the ps1/ remaster? I'm pretty sure the remaster is literally the ps1 version so how does the Sega Saturn version differ

And is the Sega Saturn version for the 2nd game much different also?

I will use the mod to change too the sega saturn and psp versions of lunar 1 and 2. I will try the game dub and if i hate it ill switch to japanese. I don't wanna emulate too the original version (mainly because im lazy to download sega saturn emulator). eventually if I like the games I will play the originals because I have been using retroarch to play a lot of dragon force which is also on the sega saturn. I also picked up xenogears (hopefully I ENJOY lunar a lot).

Should I play this dub or sub? And is there a way to get the original dub from ps1?

Lastly the sound track is the SSS version better or do I not change it thanks.

Hardly ever stop in to the local used game stores, but I had to run some errands today and stopped in.

Immediately under a glass case I see the familiar PS1 Silver Star, except… its priced really cheap. I known places sell just boxes nowadays so I asked to look at it.

Apparently, its the Japanese version in the US case, with the hard manual, but also the demo disc - for $30. I was excited for this as I do collect the Japanese versions of the Lunar games but don’t have the PS1 JPN release. I also don’t have the demo disc.

I didn’t question the price but the staffers told me a few days ago (note the 7/8/26) a guy came in with a ton of American cases but either no games or Japanese games in them and this was one of the few left. They had to price it at the JPN price as thats the game inside.

I still have my original PS1 game I purchase new, and its weird to have two boxes under this circumstance. Will have to deal with removing that super sticky sticker though.

I asked this a year ago but didn't get much of a response. Would anyone happen to have the English battle voice files for both Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete on the PS1? Such as Leo shouting, "Sample my goods!" or Gwyn saying, "We've got to keep our strength up!" all of those battle voices. I know there use to be a site way back when in the early 2000s

This son of a bitch!? Go through the city, talk to the people. Definitely a cult. go up to meet Althena….IMPOSTER!!! Black hair, tf? Lucia knows better, fireball that bitch, yeah girl git it. Bah Ghaleon. Protects her. currently in battle with him. How many times do I have to take you down old man! let’s tango!!! (Hiro Is getting his ass handed to him, but we need that character development)

Now i understand high praise. This game was so fun - when you just think how silly it is, it shows you it's not - its warm and intelligent; if you expect something will happen, it will or it will totally opposite. Good writing. Pure entertainment.

Couldn't say no to those 2 found at a flea market, despite the 650 price tag, but nostalgia hit me in the feels and wallet

I'm most of the way through my re-play of Eternal Blue (first time in 10+ years, remastered version). I'm basically at the final dungeon (of the main game, not epilogue).   Here are some thoughts I'm having, especially as I  decide which game is my favorite and why. Thar be spoilers obviously.

   There are a lot of things in Eternal Blue that pack a big emotional punch, and it's a darker game than the SSS.  One of the themes of the game is loss, and hearing Luna's theme and seeing Nall see Luna's face again after all that time, and thinking about how he, the adorable little sidekick for much of the first game, had to watch all the people he loved die and live without them for the past thousand years, had me all verklempt. It also feels poignant playing this game now as at the beginning of this month, we had to send one our beloved cats to her eternal rest. She was old and lived a long life with us, and earlier this year she would snooze in my lap while I played SSS.  She was really declining and losing the ability to do the things she enjoyed for so much of her life, but hanging out with mommy while she played video games was something she could still do. 
   What is making me come down on the side of Silver Star Story is my favorite is largely that so many things in EB are impactful *because* of SSS.  Nall's story, the revelations about Althena, the Blue Star, Lucia's mission, and Ghaleon's redemption are largely so emotional because I was immersed in the world of SSS.  Even seeing what time hath wrought on the world map requires playing the first game.  
I also feel like the characters, particularly the supporting party members, just "pop" a little more in the first game.   I really like the party in Eternal Blue, and they give me a lot of lols, especially the running gag of Ruby burning Ronfar (BTW Ronfar, I'm *NOT* a fan of you trying to do things like peep on your female comrades while they change), but Mia, Nash, Kyle, and Jessica all had these really distinct arcs, and the way the bantered and dragged each other was top notch.  It also says something that I'm playing through EB imagining what the SSS characters would have to say about everything going on, and how totally aghast they would be that the religion of Althena has basically turned into a mega-church/prosperity gospel racket (thanks to the big bad of course). 
Obviously a lot of care went into Eternal Blue, there are a lot more cut scenes and recorded dialogue as well as an an epilogue. Also, there are so many crests, and I don't use most of them!  However, one thing I noticed about SSS is how much effort the creators went to to make every location in the world unique.   Every town has is own distinct background music, in EB you basically get: upbeat version of Lucia's theme, the Chosen's music, or vaguely Middle-Eastern-ish music for the desert towns. There are more random books you can read in SSS.  It just feels like they spent more time building the world then and coasted a bit on it in EB. Even though I didn't particularly like Vane's music, I wanted to hear it again when I got there in EB, not just the upbeat rendition of Lucia's theme.
That said, I do really like Lucia, and think that Lucia and Hiro's arcs, as well as their romance, are better developed than Alex and Luna's.  Alex is a quiet guy, Luna of course gets abducted relatively early on (loved her story though) and the foundation of their relationship was laid before the game even starts.  Hiro matures significantly from the naive but lovable doofus he is at the beginning of the game, and Lucia from someone who's not quite a full person to someone who's torn between her mission and her desires. She makes a lot of leaps forward and then steps back, which is frustrating but also very human.  The result is that I feel invested in them as characters, and watching those two dorks fall in love is fun.  
I suppose that’s all I have, already too much, for now.

So, I'm sort of in an unusual case when it comes to identifying the "best way" to play both of the games. I'm completely new in the sense that I really haven't played the games much or at all, but...

I actually have owned both games forever and bought the collector's editions back in the ps1 era. I started Silver Star Complete as a kid, but didn't get far or finish it. However, the old WD voice cast and singing is burned into my brain even now as an adult. For me, they "feel" right.

I heard Lunar's WD script has a lot of meta humor, which I don't mind, so long as it doesn't completely turn the heart of the story into a big joke or less meaningful. I heard that Silver Star Harmony has a more accurate script, but the voice cast is totally different.

For this reason, my gut says I should probably play the WD ps1 version for Silver Star (while ignoring any meta 90s real world jokes).

For Eternal Blue, I've never played it or heard the old voice cast, so I was thinking I'd just play the remastered version for that one.

Does that sound like a decent plan? I really love these games even though I haven't played them (because I've owned them so long since I was a kid), so I want to not blow it and experience the story in a less that stellar way.

I hate to ask this (I'm totally new), but is Lunar Remastered Collection any good? I ordered a Switch 2 and need to find my first game.

I have not had a Nintendo since the Nintendo DS came out, so I am totally new.

I seem to only like older 90s & early 2000s games. I haven't played the original Lunar before, but I've heard good things about it over the years.

A little about me:
- I like simple mechanics, nothing too complicated.
- I like a good story.
- I prefer linear games and don't like getting lost
- I like the way 90s/2000s games look and feel. I liked Radiant Historia, Chrono Trigger, Terranigma, Pokemon, Secret of Mana
- I like humorous writing that doesn't filter anything out
- I don't mind grinding too much
- I don't like super long games that take 40 hours to finish

I basically got the Switch 2 because of the Ocarina of Time Remake. Plus I have a 5 year old son, so I assume I could find some games to play with him as he gets a little older.

They're a little worse for wear and I can just go online nowadays if I need a map, but they were neat to come across.

I work at a store and recently we got Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete in. When we went to check it again about a day later, (I really wanna play it now) we noticed the book it came with had the pages printed upside down. Does anyone here know how that would impact the value of it, and or the rarity of something like this?

10/10 game. Didn't expect to like this game as much as I did

I own the game in all three formats and want to play one for the first time, but I’m having trouble deciding which version. I’m a big fan of the 16-bit anime look but also really like the convenience of the Remastered version. What do you prefer and why?

Question for the group: where have you all had the best luck finding copies of Lunar and Lunar 2 for the original PlayStation?

I recently picked up a few boxes from my parents’ house that had been sitting in storage between moves, only to find out that one of the boxes containing a big chunk of my older game collection had been donated. Lunar, Lunar 2, Elemental Gearbolt, Xenogears, Alundra, and a lot of others I’d rather not even start listing are all gone.

The Lunar games hurt the most because they were gifts from a close friend who’s no longer with us. So that game had a lot of sentimental meaning for me, as I associate those games with the good times we had together playing them and with her in general.

Unfortunately, the donation happened around three months ago, and I’ve only found out about it a week or so ago, so there’s really no way to track them down. I’m hoping to eventually replace them (and the others I lost) with copies of the same variants I had, but eBay prices are honestly pretty crazy.

Just curious where collectors are finding decent copies these days, or any suggestions really. Thank you all in advance. Feel free to PM or post. Any help is appreciated.

Hey, I'm playing Remastered (Silver Star) on the ps5. I just finished the cave trial and got 2 chiro tails after scum farming before I left. I tried a little for 3 but didn't get another drop after a ton of battles so I decided to get Nash and come back. Again I have 2 tails. I've been farming now for a 40 or so chiro and I've come up with nothing. I've got 46k silver and I'm level 19 right now and I feel like the drop has capped off at 2. I've seen videos of people with 2 for every character but I'm not sure what's up. I just want to see if anyone encountered this or if the drop rate is way worse than I remember. Was a cap patched in?

I have been slightly hesitant to start the remasters as I was a big fan of the WD voice acting and script. Does the new localization script still retain the game’s humor?
