Lostwave Song 🎵 Unknown song I found on Radio Garden???

"This was recorded from Radio Garden(website where you can listen to radio). The date of the recording I have is (supposedly...) April 7th, 2025 at 3:41AM CST. The station is 'Echoplex Radio' in San Jose, CA, which is supposedly an 'internet radio station'...I think the genre for this song would be folk or maybe blues? Probably independently released, maybe something from bandcamp or somewhere similar(Soundcloud? YouTube even?)? The snippet is only around ~a minute long, but I believe the song was around 2-4 minutes or so(well, this is just a guess since i only have this snippet...) The original file was an .webm that I converted to mp3. Sorry for the bad quality and the song doesn't really sound too good... Male vocalist, probably American? Sounds like maybe an acoustic guitar or something in the song, too. Probably recorded within the last ~10-15 years?..."

(i have a watzatsong post about this song, so i copy pasted the explanation from it to here...!!!)

(I don't really know if this is truly, truly unknown, but Shazam wasn't turning anything up, and I wasn't able to find the song by searching up lyrics!!!)

p.s. the radio station where this song comes from, 'Echoplex', has various social media pages/ways of being contacted, so if this song is really unknown, that could be a clue!!!

Their facebook:

https://www.facebook.com/echoplexmedia/

Their Twitter:

https://x.com/eplexm

Their website:

https://www.echoplexmedia.com/

(Note: All of these come from a website called 'streema.com' which I don't know the validity of. Still, it's a lead, kind-of)

also, I think it's sort-of easy to make out a few lyrics around the later section of the snippet. Note that these may not be entirely accurate...the lyrics seem to start at around 0:28 or so..

"Can't go hear no band play my favorite song/Did you hear the news today?/ There's another thousand gone/Wonder how long(?)/ Is this thing just gonna go on?"

(Note no. 2, the fourth line, "Wonder how long", I'm not entirely sure if that is the actual line...)

by the way, here's my original watzatsong post

https://www.watzatsong.com/en/name-that-tune/923972.html

thanks in advance for any answers!!!

At the time whenever it got solved, i discovered another lostwaves like "fly Away, kgirls-drive me" and i wanted to listen more songs like that. Like listening an song that so less people knows had a Super vibe/feeling for me. Then i discovered an Flac youtube downloader site and uploaded these obscure musics to my phone and i THINK this is one of the songs i downloaded. Sadly it doesnt have any info/title in the title of the audio. İt just some codes. İ used audiotag and Shazam but no Result...

Question ❓ Help With Pop-Rock Song

Every year or so I come back to this hoping someone will know it.

Back in 2016 I heard a song in a local TGIFridays restaurant. Unfortunately I wasn’t close enough to the speakers so to Shazam this but I’m trying to find this song I heard and it’s bothered me ever since.

The song (i think) had the words "so...my darling" OR “oh…we’re falling” or something.

It was alternative rock sung by a male. It had a cold ending and a lot of violin with guitar. Medium tempo. Do you happen to know what it is? It’s not Twenty One Pilots.

Almost reminded me of the style of Athenaeum, A Silent Film, or Airborne Toxic Event.

Here is a really bad vocation of me singing the melody.

https://www.watzatsong.com/en/name-that-tune/709400.html

Can anyone out there please identify it?

Thank you in advance.

Lostwave Song 🎵 Could anyone help me find a song from around 2015 with a UK garage style beat and defeated sounding female vocals with a very tinny sounding reverb?

I made a really shitty recreation of what it might've sounded like. The beat and melody are what I remember best. The saw synth is meant to be the vocals: https://voca.ro/16HLYontqt0N

It may have been on MrSuicideSheep or UKF, definitely in that realm.

The beat sounded a little bit like Glue by Bicep, faster than 128bpm with a double time swinging hi hat, and there might have been a pulsing saw pad in the background, maybe piano chords. The vocals sounded a tiny bit like CHVRCHES but it was a pretty sad, defeated kind of delivery. The vocals had a tinny reverb like she was singing from inside a metal box which added a lot to the emotional effect. The sound was overall pretty minimalist.

The chorus was vocal chops that sounded like her either saying "baby" or "stay with me." To write it out, it was like "bay bah ee bay bah ee bay bah ee." The verses were about shattered expectations after a break up. I think "I thought " was said a lot, like "I thought we had something that could last forever" something like that.

I know this is a low effort post, but you guys are my only hope!! I've been looking for this song for a decade!!

Originally uploaded to YouTube on January 8, 2019, by user MR' 84 (DJMR84). The op did not provide any information about the song or how or where they obtained it. The song may have originated from R&B music sharing sites, but I’m not sure about that. The song sounds a bit early 2010s, but could be wrong.

Hello!

Recently I found very charming to record my own mix tapes so I bought 3 boxes of cassettes on a flea market. For curiosity, this was the first one that I tried to see what was on it before recording over it, and I found out this that I think that is some african music. I live in the countryside of brazil and never heard anything like it. May I get some help?

Lostwave Song 🎵 Ok, this is a long shot...

I am trying to find a song I randomly downloaded on Limewire back when I was in highschool (2002-06ish). All I can remember about it was that the song was called A.E.I.O.U. and the artist was credited as just his name and he was a painter that wrote songs as a side hobby. I remember it being obviously from either late 90s or early 2000s. Just acoustic guitar and vocals for the most part / indie singer songwriter folk. 🤷🏼

Thanks.

The song is fire; you can't deny it. It sucks that this is still unsolved and obscure; this song deserves more attention

Note: I'm NOT talking about Nyan Cat, it's just an image that Q used for the song (I can't edit the title, so I'll edit the "post body")

Lostwave Song 🎵 Looking for Song performance on Global TV Entertainment Section likely mid 1980s - Love is a Four Letter Word ..... L-O-V-E, Love etc etc. Was a slow soft love ballad type song. I think I heard it on radio too, but can't be sure. I was very young when I saw this.

  • The Staging: Bob McAdorey introducing a solo act.
  • The Visuals: A guy with big, poofy blonde hair standing alone in the center of the Global TV studio floor with a corded microphone, while the camera slowly sweeps in a 360-degree pan around him.
  • The Sound: A slow, intensely soft, female-sounding high vocal singing a spelling chorus ("L-O-V-E, love...") over nothing but spacey, floating synthesizer pads.

Have been looking for this forever, with no luck. Used some Gemini AI, and it helped a bit but could not narrow it down.

Why You Haven't Found It (And Why It’s Hidden)

Because you ruled out the official commercial releases by Colortone, Tim Feehan, and Michael Breen, your memory is almost certainly tied to a CanCon (Canadian Content) studio-only recording or an indie 7" vinyl single from a boutique Toronto label (like Alert Records, Current Records, or Duke Street Records). [1]

In the 1980s, Canadian artists frequently recorded exclusive synth-and-vocal variations of their songs specifically to hand over to TV control rooms for daytime promotional visits. Because these stripped-down television mixes were never pressed onto commercial CDs or uploaded to modern streaming algorithms, they exist exclusively on the physical 2-inch master broadcast tapes packed away inside the Global Toronto corporate archives. [1]

How We Can Blow This Wide Open

Since standard web searches are hitting a brick wall, we need to take this to the specialized human archivists who live for this exact challenge. If you want to keep pushing forward, I highly recommend two concrete steps:

  • Post to the r/Lostwave Subreddit: There is a massive, highly active group of digital audio sleuths on Reddit (at r/Lostwave) who track down unidentified 1980s television songs. If you post your exact text description there—highlighting Bob McAdorey's Global TV segment, the corded microphone with the panning camera, and the synth-falsetto spelling hook—they frequently cross-reference local Canadian broadcast logs and old VHS home-recordings.
  • Search Ontario Beta/VHS Digitizers on YouTube: Many Canadian archivist channels spend their time digitizing old, unlabelled Betamax and VHS tapes recorded off-air from Toronto stations in the 1980s.

Can anyone figure this tough one out??? Thanks!

Lostwave Song 🎵 “5star” lostwave

I scrolled through the videos under #lostwave on TikTok and came across a video made in 2024. It visualises a black boombox playing a song. While there is not really much detail in the video, In the caption 5 Star logo on it. I dont know if they were talking about the CD or the boom box itself I thought about posting it here if it can help either identify the song or bring new clues. I downloaded the video. I can’t really make out the lyrics, but I think it’s saying something about life.?

Lostwave Song 🎵 "Do Re Mi", Unknown Language, Dance/Electronic, 2011-2014(?)

- Cover of song with the same name by Verka Serduchka (Верка Сердучка). The original appears to have been released around 2011 in 2008.
- Obtained without any song details from playlist CD.
- Used to be available on iTunes, but seems to be gone from there now.
- Date of release unknown. I don't think it could be any later than 2015, since I remember listening to it before then.
- Original is in Russian, but these verses have entirely different lyrics from the original, and with my hobbyist-level understanding of Cyrillic languages, this sounds like it could be different from Russian or Ukrainian. (If someone is able to determine the language and provide a transcription/translation, that would be very cool)
- I tried using the music recognition sites and wasn't able to find anything, but someone who knows how to use them well might get better results than I did.

Lmk if i got anything wrong with this post, or if this isn't the right place to post it

Lostwave Song 🎵 Lostwave Romanian song - CAROL from the '90s?

Thumbnail
youtube.com
7 Upvotes

Hello everyone,

This song is a Romanian Christmas carol, probably from the 1990s, although I'm not completely sure about the exact period.

You may be wondering how I obtained the full version that I uploaded to YouTube (I'll attach the link). The story is a bit unusual. One day, I was looking through old videos on an older iPad and found a recording of myself from March 1st, 2013, with this carol playing in the background. I am 100% certain that it came from a CD my family owned at the time.

Unfortunately, that CD is long gone. It was thrown away many years ago, and I no longer have the CD player either.

Sometime during the winter of 2024, I think around February, I decided to try identifying the song using Shazam. It couldn't find anything. I then tried Google's music recognition feature, and surprisingly it did identify the song, but with completely incorrect metadata. It listed the artist as "Juliano Cosimo" and showed a black-and-white cover image of a man.

I'm almost certain this attribution is wrong because the recording clearly features both a male and a female singer, so it cannot be a single male artist.

What made things even stranger is that the track appeared to have been released in 2024 through a YouTube Topic channel (the automatically generated music channels on YouTube). I downloaded the track as an MP3 at the time and uploaded it to YouTube this year.

A few days later, out of curiosity, I tried identifying it again with Google. This time, nothing came up at all. The track and its metadata seemed to have completely disappeared from the internet. The only detail I remember is the name "Juliano Cosimo," but I strongly believe that attribution was incorrect.

Since then, I have tried several other music identification platforms without success. I will also upload the song to WatZatSong so more people can listen to it.

Unfortunately, I don't currently have access to the external SSD where I believe I saved the original MP3 file I downloaded back then. If I can find it, I may be able to recover the exact metadata. I might also have an old screenshot showing the YouTube page and artist information.

I've been trying to identify this song for about two years and have made no progress.

If anyone recognizes this carol—or even better, finds the original CD it came from, including the rest of the songs on it—I would be incredibly grateful. These recordings have a huge sentimental value to me. I used to listen to them with my grandparents during the holidays, and ever since they passed away, I've wanted to hear the full album again.

I believe the title may be something like "Creștinilor, Noi Astăzi...", but I'm not certain.

Thank you very much for any help or information.

Hello. I got this video, I posted it on Facebook but the sound was deleted, due to some copyrights issues.

I know it's from a 1979 Spanish TV show on RTVE, called Ballet Applauso.

Genre : disco

Year : 1979

Thank you.
