Trying to understand the real risks of using Lido
Hey everyone,
I’ve been looking into different ways to stake ETH, and Lido seems like one of the more convenient options because of stETH/wstETH and the liquidity it gives you.
But I’m trying to understand the trade-off a bit better. With solo staking, the responsibility is mostly on me. With an exchange, I’m trusting the exchange. With Lido, it feels like I’m trusting a mix of smart contracts, node operators, and DAO governance.
For people here who actually use Lido: what do you personally see as the biggest risk or downside of holding stETH/wstETH?
