I need help finding a second killer to main

Ok, so I’ve been playing dbd since like 2019-20 and I’ve been mostly playing survivor up until chucky came out bc he was my first main. He was my main for a little bit until I wanted to start getting even better at killer so I brought every killer in the game atp in time. I played everyone once until I started maining pig. For me pig was amazing (at the time) I had great mind games around pallets (especially with her dash ability) I used great builds (this was before diminishing returns) and at the time imo I was like 9/10 pig. Then I started to play trapper bc while pig was good at the time, she was also getting repetitive and a little boring so I wanted to play someone who I thought would be fun. So nice again I tried killers I’ve never played before until I came upon trapper and they became my new main but as we all know the game grows without trapper and c tier killers and not with them. Played pig and trapper for like another year then switched to survivor bc the meta was getting too strong against them and they weren’t good at all anymore. As far as survivor I’m imo a 8.5/10 survivor. I can loop for like 2min+ and my current main build rn is finesse, quick gambit, windows of op, and flow state. I currently main the artist and I got good with her pretty quickly but when I play against like survivors will all flashlight or all toolkits or a mixture of both I don’t do the best, since playing her I haven’t played a match where all survivors have escaped but like a 2k is the lowest I’ll get. For artist I use pain res, barbecue and chili, star struck and lethal. For add-ons I usually use severe hands and horny nest for slow down. I main’d trapper and pig and like them bc I feel like as killer I’m a strategy based killer. I like killers where you can’t just like spam their power or like items (like trappers traps or pigs head traps). Like for pig you have to think about who to use your reverse-head traps on and can’t just use them on any survivor and with trapper you can’t just place traps anywhere. When I play artist (just started like 2.5 weeks ago) i do good in chase, don’t chase for too long, leave chases when necessary and don’t use all of her crows I chase to down a survivor so I can get them back faster, I’m good at holding gen pressure across the maps and ik which maps are good for her and which aren’t (mostly 1 story flat terrain maps are best). I think I’ve gotten good with her but not pro level good. Enough to get 4k’s against high but not pro mmr survivors. So I guess my question is based on what I’ve just described, does anyone have a killer that I could have as my second main after reading all of this?

Not new, but have been away from the game that i im super rusty, need help with killer choice and mindset type

I haven't played in a long time and some things that caused me to have a really bad game once (that made me quit or reluctant to play) are fixed...i think (infinite loops, the medkit syringe and Doctors power)

So im looking to come back but obviously very rusty, have old outdated knowledge and loss of game awareness.

My other problem has been previously i have been too competitive, needing to win to have fun, a bad mindset i want to avoid.

The main thing i love in this game is to chase and thata why i love doctor on top of his laughter and his shocks causing screams, however i also want to have room to improve and have skill expression.

On top of this i want to avoid using blight, too over used and theres a bunch of other killers to choose from, tried nurse, couldn't get the hang of her teleports.

I was thinking of dredge, unknown, xeno or spirit (though her WAAH! is a bit annoying, i still this is should be the scream of a young girl mixed with shattering glass)

So im unsure which killer to choose and what i should keep in mind when im dealing with something im unsure about and getting frustrated with, like how to identify that "head-on" locker bash i've seen in gameplay.

I of course will have lightborn as a stable perk because being unable to see is something that aggravates me immensely.

Hello. I am new to DBD. I bought this game yesterday, though I found it fun but this is how my 3rd match went. Is this a meta? If it is then it's super annoying. (Sorry for rage quitting, I couldn't take it anymore). Any ways to counter this? Thank you so much.

Anniversary Sale

I understand a lot of things go on sale for DBD’s anniversary events, and I was wondering if that included in-store auric & shard purchases as well?

Right now there’s a sale, for instance, but it’s only the Steam-page DLC Chapter packs

Not an expert, but picked up a few things

Would anyone be willing to try to run a full lobby? That way there's no pressure. No sweaty killers, and no rude messages in end game chat. I'm a survivor main, but I have played killer a handful of times. Maybe get a discord running or something? Just some ideas! I have about 200 hours in game, I started playing in October of last year. I'm by no means an expert, I'm just starting to explore different character perks and figure out my build.

Not ā€œBrand Newā€ but have a lot to learn and also want to help others

Hello all! I came from the other thread this was mentioned in and I just wanted to say I’m excited for this! My friend got me into the game two years ago and he was teaching me a lot. However, after about the first six months or so he really stopped playing a lot so I’ve had to ask questions and learn what I know on my own for the most part. I am still not the best at certain parts of the game and would love to get better. I also would not mind helping out new players get used to the game since I know the struggle of figuring it out on my own. Looking forward to helping and meeting new friends.

Dbd friendly killer series im making

Race for the slug race

rules are simple

1.get as much hooks as you can by nodding and agreeing and not attacking the more hooks you got the more total points

2.slug race extra points for the amount of people that you can get to do a slug race

3.mori the last player as per slug race rules this gives you an additional 5 points only if they agree to be moried (dont go through exit even when they are downed)

4.just for more information dont have any perks or add ons and play a killer that is known to have humour eg.wesker or springtrap

Il be streaming until i get a atleast 10 points

So thats 2 points per survivor hooked=8 points

Than extra 4 for each survivor in slug race so thats 12

Than 5 for mori by friendliness so thats a total of 17 points

Also extra 3 points if you manage to get all hooks all 4 players and mori one point for each section completed well

Came here from that one thread!

Thank you to the creator for making this community, it might take time to build up but this is so necessary for the current health of the players because the game is not friendly to n00bs. Not to mention the primary subreddit has an even more toxic back and forth with both sides that it feels unproductive and unwelcoming for long time players too. Speaking as someone who started just before OG Stranger Things was being taken out in 2021, I appreciate this community already 🫶 I know A LOT but I don't know everything! (despite my husband's claims, I'm just autistic and this is my primary game lmao)

Question about a blocked gate on Houndmaster

Can you not leave the exit gate if you're in mending? Inside the gate area, The Houndmaster's dog latched me, and then the killer hit me, but I couldn't leave afterwards - the gates were blocked like they are due to spring trap's Loot Bag add-on. She had no perks or addons that mentioned the exit gate. I was the final survivor in the trial.

First!

I’m the first poster AND THEREFORE THE BEST. It’s the law according to The Survivor’s Rule Book for KILLERS.

And since this is a questions subreddit, let’s get it started off with a good one: What are some unwritten rules of DBD?

For instance, when, if ever, should someone 99 the exit gate? How far away from the hook should we go to heal? How did the killer find me hiding in that bush? What’s the best way to loop a T & L wall? What *is* a T & L wall?

Feel free to ask (or answer!) your own questions down below!
