The trailer opens with Doctor Doom sitting on his throne in Latveria. Doom walks through his castle, revealing a massive portrait of his wife and son. He narrates “My family was killed because of you” Thor arrives alongside the Fantastic Four to meet the New Avengers. There’s a shot of their ship flying into Avengers Tower as the teams meet each other. Steve greets Sam and Bucky. Reed says they have less than 24 hours to stop the incursions. Steve meets Yelena and tells her, “Natasha was family to me, which means you’re family too.” The same fight with Mystique and Yelena is shown, there’s also a shot of two ships flying off with one of Dooms cultist inside it. Nightcrawler vs Reed is finally shown, Gambit vs Shang Chi is shown again. There’s a shot of Cyclops shooting at Sam. Then a scene inside the Baxter Building featuring the X-Men with Magneto in an arm sling and Gambit looking at Mjolnir. Reed Richards confronts Doctor Doom, nearly shouting, “Answer me!” A shot of Loki wearing a TVA uniform inside Steve’s house from the first teaser. A shot of a bloody hand inside the TVA hallway. Thor vs Doom is shown again. The leaked sentinel scene is shown but with more finished vfx and color grading, title card, Doom looks at Steve while the sentinels are rising, cut to black, Doom narrates “One day you will forgive me.”

For the past few months, there have been several rumors that the X-Men (especially Wolverine and Deadpool) might have to battle Tobey's Earth, and that it would be destroyed at the beginning of the movie

What if this scene in the trailer is that moment? 🥲 What do you think?

I saw this and thought I'd share it here. Normally I don't spread rumors but this is so odd that I'm half inclined Marvel Comics and Disney are insane enough to do it, and wanted to hear from you guys. As always, take it with a grain of salt, could (and likely to) be fake. Spoilers for BND too.

• Jean Grey is indeed the mystery red herring antagonist as many have speculated/leaked in the other thread.
• Jean Grey reveals to Peter that he too is actually a mutant. His spider bite merely awakened the dormant gene, similar to how Wanda's mutation was awakened by outside stimuli (in her case an infinity stone).
• Peter's changes are his secondary mutations kicking in as he matures into adulthood (think Emma Frost having both psychic abilities and diamond skin), which explains his organic webbing.
• Disney is planning on soft-rebooting the MCU, with the X-Men at the forefront, built with their cast/interpretations. They want Peter to be the link between old and new, and because he's arguably their most popular IP. This role was originally meant for Ms Marvel/Kamala Khan, but the reception of The Marvels and her general drop in popularity has changed this.
• Rumored upcoming Marvel Comics event involves an X-Gene virus affecting many civilians and heroes, revealing Spider-Man to be immune. What he first thinks is due to his unique biology, will in fact be an upcoming retcon where Peter will be revealed to be a true mutant this entire time. This would also explain recent events where Peter's spider sense and abilities have been "held back" until now. Spider-Sense allegedly making Peter immune to Cerebro too.

So yeah, wild. This is so out there that part of me is concerned that it may end up true. But if not, thank god. What do you think?

Or does the Avengers PLOT LEAK sound really good? Don’t get me wrong, it’s still very comic book-y but imo that’s what I like. Besides, people said the same bad things about it like what they did with Endgame plot leak. People thought it sounded like fan fiction or really bad but it ended up being really good and, I mean, it makes sense. Try telling a superhero story as a logline, especially with beloved IP and their characters — it’s gonna sound like fan fiction. It’s just how they execute it.

So, I’m really not worried. I think the concept sounds good, and the movie SHOULD do really well. The Russos haven’t really let us down and I don’t think this will be any different. Although, I could be wrong.

So According to the plot leak recently, this is supposbly what happens, now I would say this is fan fiction but the recent trailer has some strange similarities.

The Destruction of Spider-Man's Earth

​Wolverine and Deadpool travel to Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man universe carrying a planet-killing bomb created by Beast to save their own Earth from an Incursion.

​Wolverine plants and detonates the bomb, killing himself, Tobey’s Spider-Man, and everyone on that Earth. Deadpool escapes back to his universe.

​2.

Steve Rogers' New Path

​After returning the Infinity Stones post-Endgame, Steve stays in the past with Peggy, and they have a son named Jim.

​Before the events of Loki Season 2, Loki warns Steve that the TVA will prune his timeline because he wasn't supposed to stay or have a son.

​Loki gives Steve a contact card to escape to a universe where Steve and Peggy don't exist: The Fantastic Four’s universe, where they live peacefully for 10 years.

​3.

Doctor Doom & The Multiverse Crisis

​Doctor Doom visits Sue Storm and Franklin Richards, warning them that their universe is next in line for an Incursion.

​Doom and Reed Richards discover Steve Rogers' family living in their universe as an anomaly.

​Doom, Reed, and Sue confront Steve, convincing him to travel to Earth-616 (the main MCU Earth) to persuade the Avengers to follow Doom’s plan to stop the Incursions.

Gathering Allies & Discovering the Betrayal

​The heroes visit the X-Men’s universe. After initial hostility, Reed and Doom convince them to help build massive cannons on each Earth to permanently separate the universes.

​Steve mentions meeting a living Loki to Thor. Using Loki’s contact card, they travel to the TVA, only to find everyone dead and Loki’s heart ripped out. They realize Doctor Doom is responsible.

​5.

Doom's True Intentions & Revenge

​Steve confronts Doom, who admits he allowed the Incursions to happen to reshape the Multiverse and rebuild his family.

​Doom reveals that Steve’s presence in the Fantastic Four's universe triggered its Incursion, which led to experiments that killed Doom's family and disfigured him.

​In revenge, Doom kills Steve’s son, Jim, in front of him.

​6.

The Final Battle & Battleworld

​Latveria prepares for war as the united forces of the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, and Valhalla’s army (sent by Odin after Thor prays to him) march on Doom’s castle.

​A massive battle breaks out as the Earths begin to collide. The universes crash and are destroyed, killing everyone except Doom.

​Doom uses Loki’s stolen powers to create Battleworld, resurrecting everyone with erased memories to live in a false reality where he rules as Emperor.

I don’t know…anybody else getting a weird vibe with long-haired Steve and his unassuming getup? Don’t want to go out on a limb here but…Captain Hydra?

The Odyssey Prologue

This is one of the sickest things I’ve seen. I love the medieval theme and doom taunting Reed with his family.

>Opening montage features Spider-Man fighting several supervillains like Scorpion, Boomerang, Tarantula and Ramrod, who all work for Tombstone.

Hearing that the new trailer will drop at SDCC, which makes perfect sense as the movie is 2 months away.

Ive been told that a teaser for BTSV is coming at SDCC.

Technically just a rumor for now, but the track record is nice.

What the tapestry itself is telling you

The design mimics classical medieval church imagery, where you’d typically see Heaven at the top and opposing forces at the bottom. The upper image — a mother and son surrounded by angels — likely represents Doom’s goal or what haunts him. In the comics, Doom mastered both science and sorcery, and he turned to magic specifically because his mother’s soul was taken to Hell. The angels may signify her death. So the tapestry may literally be Doom’s psychology hung on a wall: the thing he lost at the top, himself at the bottom looking up at it.

The cracked Earth is the biggest clue

There’s a single Earth in the mural with a visible crack across its surface — and Doomsday is effectively a prelude to Secret Wars, based on the 2015 comic event where the multiverse collapsed into one world that would’ve been destroyed if not for Doom’s intervention. One cracked planet = incursions, colliding Earths, and eventually Battleworld.

The unmasking detail

Notice Doom is holding his mask. Doom bowing his head before the tapestry, mask in hand, appears to confirm a major plot point — in the comics, Victor’s face is scarred after an experiment goes wrong. Showing him unmasked (from behind) in the very first poster suggests RDJ’s face — and Victor’s disfigurement — is central, not hidden.

How it lines up with the plot leaks (unverified, but they’ve been eerily consistent):

**•** This Doom is allegedly from the 31st century, where he ruled Latveria with “Sue Von Doom” as his queen and two kids, Franklin and Valeria — and his universe was annihilated by incursions caused by Steve Rogers breaking the timeline with his Endgame time travel.  That reframes the tapestry: the mother-and-child might not be Doom’s mother at all — it could be his dead wife and son. A rumored trailer description even mentions Doom walking past a large painting of Valeria and their son in his castle.   
**•** Leakers describe him as “not a mustache twirling villain” but “a grieving god” — a wolf in sheep’s clothing who unites with the heroes under noble pretenses while hiding his real motives.   
**•** His alleged true plan: let the incursions continue so he can rebuild the universe in his own image and resurrect his dead family.  The movie reportedly ends with characters living new lives inside Doom’s false reality while he rules as Emperor of Battleworld.   
**•** The rumored trailer ends on the line “One day you will forgive me” — a villain asking forgiveness in advance because he already knows how the story ends. 

Smaller Easter eggs from the poster campaign

Hidden runes at the bottom of the poster hint the MCU is keeping comics-accurate Doom: equal parts magic and tech, and the Avengers “A” logo itself has a stained-glass design with runes, a crescent moon, and a wheel-like symbol around it — very “sorcerer-king,” not “armored dictator.”

One grain of salt: reports claim the film has gone through significant reshoots, with Loki’s role reportedly changing, and some analysts think the big leak could even be AI-generated — a synthesis of a year’s worth of rumors rather than real insider info. Comic-Con Hall H is this Saturday (July 25), so we’ll likely know a lot more within the week.

The short version: this poster is framing Doom as a tragic, religious figure worshipping at the altar of what he lost — and everything he does to the multiverse flows from wanting it back.
