Stephen Colbert's Only in Monroe - Support local media!
Monroe Community Media is a tiny team, we work locally, we don't do projects like this ever. But the love and support we have received is incredible.
Public access centers are suffering all across the country because folks don't watch cable anymore and funding is extremely hard to come by. It's not common knowledge just how METAL public access is!!!
The fact that we're non-profit and hyper-local means that we are not designed for global domination like other media outlets. We just want our neighbors to make tv shows about their farms, or their cats, or their home renovations, or whatever else they're passionate about. Media in the hands of the people-- that's our bread 'n butter.
We wanna express our love to The Late Show who brought all this attention to lil ole us and our hard-working team. Because of this project, we've raised $7,500 in donations already!
Be apart of the movement, donate to local media:

Long live public access y'all!

Colbert has a new YouTube Channel
I’m seeing the “Only in Monroe” video from last night posted in a few places, but Stephen’s new channel seems to be legit. Just search for @Colbert or see this link: https://youtube.com/@colbert?si=h4w4oPg_K_I95xmt
Update: Since the @Colbert account video showed a three way collaboration with @ColbertLateShow and @MonroeCommunityMedia, which they would had to have confirmed …and the fact the account was linked directly from the New York Times yesterday (source: https://www.nytimes.com/2026/05/23/arts/television/stephen-colbert-michigan-public-access.html), I think it’s now safe to say this is Stephen’s real YouTube channel.

Can anyone confirm this? If true, it's probably the biggest Colbert update since the cancellation.

Trying to find an outro clip
Hi everyone! Hope this is okay to post! I am looking for a clip from the outro from September 27, 2016. I know it’s been 10 years, but I’m in this clip 3 people away from Colbert in the audience when he did his outro and I’m trying to find it for my mom again. I don’t have Paramount+ and I don’t know where to find full episodes (don’t even know if they have full episodes on Paramount+ either) so I figured, if there’s a community that could help me find it, it would be you guys on Reddit!

Ratings update question
I'm just curious how the Late Show cancelation has affected local news ratings and the like for affiliates (particularly how CBS Mornings has been performing, given that turning off the TV during/after late night *might * still affect morning-show numbers).

Youtube Channel Revenue?
I've been subscribed to ColbertLateShow on Youtube in support of Stephen and the show staff... but I'm assuming now that the show's over, any revenue the channel makes is just going to go to the CBS/Paramount company, right? Does anybody know for certain?

Deleted Video from musical guests
I'm looking for a presentation from Karen Olivo and Aaron Tveit performing ‘Your Song’ From Moulin Rouge in the Late Show. I had in my youtube playlist but it's gone. Is CBS deleting videos from the youtube channel? I can't find another one from Dear Evan Hansen,

We Are Scientists drummer compares playing Letterman vs Stephen Colbert, nicer crew on Colbert, calls it "unfair it got canceled due to politics", + late night TV impact on band's confidence (25:38 into the episode)
Keith Carne from We Are Scientists shared his experience playing on both Late Night with David Letterman and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
He said playing Colbert was definitely better because the crew was much nicer and Stephen Colbert wanted to create a welcoming culture for everyone. On Letterman he felt lost and didn’t know where to go. He also mentioned Colbert’s dressing rooms were much nicer.
Keith talked about how playing late night television boosted his confidence as a musician. He also called the cancellation of Colbert’s show unfair due to politics (at 28:48).

Ebay Sale
Do we think it's done or is there hope for more items to be posted as they continue to clear out of the Ed Sullivan? I didn't expect to see anything further once the show ended, but then with the Monroe episode and the items that were posted last week in support of the film festival, it left me wondering if maybe there's hope for another drop? What are folks thinking - especially those of you keeping tabs of the theatre in NYC?
