Introduction
Lab Group Sales (LGS) is for buyers and select vetted vendors to create and share ideas about a group buy. Vendors have a blue "OP" and "Vendor" next to their name and their contact info is listed in the order form. Vendor contacts are also found here, here, and here. Report spam to Reddit here. Please do not respond to direct messages or mail that is not from the vendor. LGS buying guidelines are here. LGS Mods do not sell or endorse products and do not receive incentives from vendors. Mods are volunteers. Mods are not Reddit employees.
For Buyers
LGS belongs to a community of sister subs, r/SyntheticGemstones , r/Moissanite , r/labcreateddiamonds, r/LabDiamondGemstoneBST, and r/MoissaniteBST . Vendors are selected from these preferred lists. Our subs share the same Wiki information and buying guidelines, here, here, and here.
Read the order form carefully for the vendor's selling parameters. Group buys share one CAD (design). If you request a change, the vendor may charge for it. Group buys are not the same as a customized order. Some vendors do not offer stone checks, some include shipping or Paypal fees. A group buy may go beyond a projected completion date. Be patient, contact your sales rep for updates. Gold plating does not last forever, it will need replating at some time which is the buyer's responsibility. The CAD's gold weight is an approximation. CADs are post-polish numbers, but since many pieces are hand polished, there can be slight deviations in the finished piece. Group buys are not guaranteed to be the lowest prices-- prices change over time. Price debates and price whining will be removed.
If you have a question about an order, as a courtesy to the sales rep, contact them first before making a post on another sub so they can look into your order. Aside from LGS, most jewelry subs do not allow companies to respond so questions on other subs will go unanswered.
Payment should be with PayPal Goods & Services or Alibaba for buyer and merchant protection. If you choose a different payment method, check for buyer protection policies.
Mistakes happen. Remember the human. Before posting a negative review for a mistake (wrong address or wrong item shipped, loose prong), contact the sales rep for help. Mods can help too.
Group Buy Tips
~ Search group buys by flairs--green is open.
~ Check your spam folder for messages and invoices.
~ Check the tracking number of your order with the carrier for when to expect delivery.
~ Be patient with your sales rep, they reply to all buyers. Country time differences and holidays can cause communication delays.
~ Please be thoughtful before completing the order form. While changing your mind is perfectly fine, group sales are based on a specific number of purchases necessary to achieve the projected discount. Commitments that fall through can affect everyone’s price.
~ Factor in shipping, customs, and payment fees.

~ If you need a piece finished by a deadline, inform the sales rep.
~ Post reviews on the group buy/jewelry share post or other community jewelry subs.
~ Posts are locked after two months.
~ Pricing: Vendors can use different pricing for a group buy. Some offer special pricing just for LGS or require a minimum number to start a production discount. Vendors are not required to price the same. Some vendors start invoicing only after the maximum orders are reached.
~ Production time varies by vendors. Some start immediately, some start after the minimum threshold is met, and some start a second production cycle if more orders are received.
Disputes and Returns
Your purchase is directly with the vendor. Any issues with your finished piece must be worked out between you and them. You should inspect your jewelry right away and report issues to the vendor. Check the vendor's warranty and return procedures. Normally jewelry sales are a 30-day warranty; however, always check with the vendor. Mistakes happen; please remember the human and try to work things out with the vendor before making a negative review.
There are times when a vendor and customer may have an issue with their transaction. The mod team may step in to assist. Although mistakes are rare, they do occasionally happen. We will help to find a reasonable solution. If we find out that a user is trying to extort the full value of the item w/o returning or if they are threatening to leave bad reviews on all of our related jewelry subs, then immediate action will be taken against that user. Their reviews will be removed and their user profile will be permanently banned. Unfortunately, we have had an increase of threatening behavior towards our vendors. We try to be fair on both sides and we make ourselves available to help. We do not support users exploiting situations in an effort to get a free piece of jewelry or excessive refund. Vendors quote with only a small percentage of markup in their pricing to stay competitive. We will always look for reasonable solutions when issues arise. In no particular order: DeBebians, Tianyu Gems, Forever For Love, Orbion Jewels, Alchemist Gemstones, Scott Bonomo Diamond Setting, Starsgem, Ouros Jewels, Fiorese Jewelry, Zuvelio, Paston Jewelry. Non-approved vendors who attempt to post a group buy or sale will be banned from the sub.

Vendor Listing Format & Rules
Only preapproved select vendors can post group buys. Vendors are approved by sub mods. Orders must be collected on a google doc. Group buys are open for three weeks. There is one CAD for a group buy, this represents the same parameters for all buyers. An email (phone number optional) is the only customer data that can be collected on the form. All details must be verified in the listing format.
Group orders are based on volume or a group special price. Group orders are not for listing stock items, stock item pricing may be no different than ordering directly from the vendor. Links/cross-posting of vendor pages, such as Facebook, IG, Etsy, etc. are not allowed. An open and close date must be listed. Group buys cannot be permanently extended. By honoring the close date, this ensures that all vendors receive equal opportunity to present and sell their items.
Two posts at a time are allowed from one company. Each rep can have one post open at a time. Each group buy can have one “Reminder” post noting that the sale will close within seven days, and one “Jewelry Share” post of finished items.
Inspiration Photos and AI
Inspiration photos should remain free of branded names, logos, etc. Feel free to work with a rep to create a CAD and image examples. If inspired to create a piece based on someone’s design, ask permission to use their photo or CAD. Often, the vendor will already have the CAD. Please do not post or discuss making group orders of exact replicas of branded jewelry. This could result in Reddit removing this sub. Here are the guidelines for design ideas. AI images can be renderings but cannot be used to show a "real" piece of jewelry that has never been made. Photos must be originals. No AI overlays are allowed.
