French modelling scout with links to Epstein found dead, prosecutors say
"A French modelling scout with close ties to the late US financier Jeffrey Epstein has been found dead at his home outside Paris, prosecutors say.
Under investigation in France, Daniel Siad, 69, was one of several French men accused of aiding Epstein traffic and abuse women.
Mr Siad had not yet been questioned by investigators, but had denied the allegations, saying he wanted to be heard and give his version of events.
"An investigation to determine the cause of death was opened on Monday evening following the discovery," the prosecutor's office in the Paris suburb of Nanterre said.
An autopsy will be carried out as part of the probe."
Just learned I lived in the same effing building as Dean Corll.
Someone posted this on the local and I was SHOCKED to learn that I lived in the unit adjacent to his 11th st address (if you look at Google street view, my place was the 2nd floor spot to the left). Bonus - the Mangum address is just a couple blocks down from the site of Karla Faye Tucker's crime (which took place across the street from where I went to school).

Did Henry ever release the bombshell evidence about Ben liking Bud Light Lime?
I’m going through some old episodes and around 2018, Henry kept saying he had some secret bombshell proof that Ben liked Bud Light Lime. Did he ever release that?

Creepy mime costume, months of fear: Man charged after disturbing encounters at popular Mass. Park
“He stripped down to his underwear, slathered cooking oil all over his body, and began working out near the staff area.”
This seems like juicy side stories material.

I found Ed's favorite "serial killer": Gustave The Crocodile. He killed anywhere from 60-300 and wouldn't even eat his victims. Was he killing for the thrill, or was there more to it (croc profiling)?

Visual inside jokes from the pod
I'm looking to design some fabric to turn into a dress, think tacky as hell themed print like Ms Frizzle, and I wanted to collect some running jokes from the podcast that a listener might pick up on if they really looked at it, but won't make it ripoff branded merch. Either way, I'm not going to sell it, it's purely for personal use. Off the top of my head I can think of a bucket of popcorn with a Detective badge beside it, chocolate with bones in it, a stuffed mongoose, an angry lawn gnome... What are some other visual references that I could draw for this? Hail yourselves!

Why is he the primary author?
serious Ben Kissel jumpscare by Spotify this morning. I don't think he should be removed because it is still his work and its probably alphabetical order but thats just unfortunate that this piece is forever linked to him.

Obviously I appreciate all topics but...
I gotta be honest I love the dark history stuff. Donner Party was my first great. The Black Death was one of the all-time greats. Blackbeard, the Batavia, USS Indianapolis, Billy the Kid etc. I love this shit.
Marcus In his element is great but I really love Henry after a good cram when he's all brained-up. And now Ed and his wide-eyed fascination is great. My big list?
- The French Revolution
- Pol Pot/Killing Fields
- Spanish Inquisition
- Columbus/Cortez
- Chernobyl (no anniversary ep?)
I mean, this is obviously not a critique but a celebration of the historical episodes. So the question is:
*What really dark historical event or period would you like to see the lads cover?*
TIL That despite having less than 1% of the world's total population, Colombia has produced 3 of the top 10 most prolific, known, serial killers.
en.wikipedia.orgThis is my bid for the boys to cover them!

Steam with mobile crematorium
Searching for the stream that featured the mobile crematorium but can't find it. Anyone remember which one? My girlfriend thinks it was a staff mandate but I'm thinking it's a Marcus mandate. TIA
