LFG (Looking for GM) [Online][5e 2024][GMT] Group of 5 engaged players seeking a DM for bi-weekly 18:00 Sunday Crooked Moon!

Hey there! We’re a group of five players in our early 30s or thereabouts who are looking for a DM to run the Crooked Moon campaign - although we’re open to other modules and settings as well, such as Grim Hollow or the good old Forgotten Realms! As a group, not all of us have played together extensively before - some have, yet others are new - but we’ve gone through a process and one-shots to make sure we all mesh well together, enjoy each-others’ playstyles, and are all looking for the same thing (such as an extensive talk about exactly what we want to put in this post!)

So who is the right DM?

Well, for starters the right DM for this group is one who’d like to share in the collaborative storytelling experience that is D&D to the fullest - one who is as character-focused as story-focused, and can make the players’ characters feel like a true part of the world with real impact. We’re looking for somebody who’d love to work closely with each of us on background stories and character arcs throughout the campaign, and who can make good on the setups we collectively bake into them. Some narrative descriptions to set the feeling of a scene and fleshed out, real-feeling NPC are a huge plus, but the most important thing is passion for the role of DM and the game you’re running! Communication is also a must, we’re all adults and need to be able to talk to each-other!

And who are we?

As players, we are all of us dedicated and engaged people who are committed to showing up and paying attention when we play, especially given the bi-weekly nature of this setup. We’re most certainly a roleplay-heavy group who want to dive deep into the characters and story, but also put proper and full effort into engaging with the story and world - we want to make the DM feel as though their effort is both appreciated and reciprocated, they’re a player at the table too, after all. Currently we have a rough idea of the party roster (based on the Crooked Moon content), and a pretty solid idea for the dynamics we want to see - but integrating background stories into the story and world is something we’d love to do alongside the DM!

Additionally, four of us have DMed before, with at least two who have over a decade of experience - so there is a good understanding of what it takes, and what we should bring to the table as players!

The process we have in mind:

Naturally, we will have one of us act as the contact-person for this post. If this seems like the group for you, please do send a message! Should it seem prudent, we would like to all have a talk with you where we can get a better idea of who you are and what kind of DM you’d be - but also the other way around. Questions can feel a bit like an interview, but this would be just as much for you to ask us what you might like to know!

If both parties feel like it would be a good match, we’d very much like to do a one-shot with you to see how it all lines up!

Details:

  • Time: 18:00 GMT (19:00 UK time, 20:00 Oslo, Paris, Berlin) - Sundays, bi-weekly
  • Campaign Setting & Campaign: Crooked Moon - Optionally others upon discussion
  • Platform: Roll20 or Foundry (preferred)
  • System: D&D 5e 2024
  • Session length: ~4 hours
  • Leveling: Milestone preferred, optional
  • Contact (Discord): meltyveil [all lower case]

Hi! I’m looking to join a D&D group that meets twice a month (every other week) during the week. I’m 27 years old, and I’ve been DMing for a while now. I’ve been looking for a group for a really long time. I’d kind of given up hope, but now I’m trying again.

I would be free from 18:00 CEST onwards. I would prefer games that start around 19:00.

Let me know if you have an open spot or know anyone! You can also always send me a message if you have futher questions.

Closed [CEST][Other][Online] Daggerheart Learn2play!

# A Daggerheart oneshot for 4-7 characters of 1st level.

For many centuries, the people of Cree have told the stories of all the dangers that lurk in the cursed Soul Marsh, beyond the safety of their home. Most dismiss them as tales and legends meant to frighten children. Not so this story, for legends have a way of resurfacing.

When a forgotten terror begins leaving a trail of fear and destruction, the adventurers are the locals' only hope. Whatever your reasons for coming here, you are drawn into a mystery buried deep within the one place no sane man would advise you to travel alone.

Brave the dangers of this hostile land, uncover the truth of Cree's origins, and confront a threat that was meant to never walk the world again. A very dark night awaits the people of Cree.

Can you be their light?

  • Tone & Feel: Adventurous, Heroic, Horror, Mystery, Uncanny

  • Themes: Corrupted Creatures, Cursed Marshland, Reliving Old Prophecy, Undead Creatures

Newcomers welcome! No previous experience needed!\

Game Details

System: Daggerheart

Schedule: Once (for ~4 hours)

  • optional: twice; first meeting to make characters (1-1.5 hours), then the game the week after (2-4 hours)

Day/Time: Thrusday, July 23rd, 2026, 2:00 PM CEST

Requirements:

  • for players: you need an account on Demiplane Nexus. This is completely free for you, as DMs can freely share game engine access with their groups.

  • for the audience: None! If you don't want to or can't play, or are just curious about me and my style, feel free to listen in.

Player Obligations: None! Just show up and play!

  • Slots filled: 4/7

    • game requires at least 3 active players to be run

Word from the GM!

Hello, r/LFG_EUROPE! This will be the first (of hopefully many more to follow) games I host on the Dreamscape Adventures Discord. I've been running for almost 25 years in a bunch of systems with an even bigger bunch of people. New player, old player, experienced with Daggerheart or checking it out for the first time - everyone is welcome!

This oneshot and my style might be for you if you

  • enjoy games that focus on the fiction over the rules

  • you love most things about D&D _except for the math_

  • you want a fast-paced, rules-light experience that tries to make the story about the story rather than how to fill out a character sheet

  • you're not scared about undead things trying to lure you into the darkness to devour your soul

I encourage questions, before, during, or after any given game! The only bad question is the one we're not confident enough to ask.

LFG / LFP [5E][5E24][Online][CEST 16:00-00:00] Committed roleplayer looking for group! [EN]

Hello everyone! My name is Jul and I'm looking to join a group of older players. I'm in my 30s and have experience from Dungeons & Dragons 5e (2014) as a player and DM. I'm currently looking to be a player in a D&D 5e or 5.5e (2024) campaign!

What I'm looking for...
──────────── · · ୨୧ · · ─────────────

I'm open to D&D 5e (2014), 5.5e (2024), or a creative combination of the two. I prefer Forgotten Realms as a base setting, with any modifications or adaptation the group prefers. Homebrew is welcome, although I prefer a setting where I can easily access information about the world.

Top list of campaigns I want to try:

  • Waterdeep: Dragon Heist module [plain or modified / extended]
  • Curse of Strahd module [plain or modified / extended]
  • Waterdeep, Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter etc. homebrew campaign
  • Broader Faerûn homebrew campaign

I'm not looking to learn a new game system other than D&D. Sorry!

VTT & Technical
──────────── · · ୨୧ · · ─────────────

I use dndbeyond as a character builder and sheet, and have primarily used Roll20 as a VTT. I have a dndbeyond-subscription and have content on there that I'm happy to share. I prefer using VTT to play, and am totally open to learning a different one if Roll20 is not used!

My computer is solid, and I have a good webcamera and lighting, and a Røde-microphone.

I have a very strong preference for actively using webcamera in-game.

Scheduling & Availability
──────────── · · ୨୧ · · ─────────────

I'm available Sunday through Thursday at these times:

Europe CEST: 16:00 - 00:00
US Atlantic Time AT: 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM
US Pacific Time PT: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

I want to avoid Friday-Saturday due to social committments.

A short introduction
──────────── · · ୨୧ · · ─────────────

Hello! I'm Jul and I'm 35 years old. I've been playing D&D for 7 years both as a player and DM, and I used to take art commissions for character portraits! Aside from TTRPGs, I love fantasy and crime novels, drawing, creative writing, wine and cheese. I'm outgoing and social, flexible and friendly. ♡

The campaigns I've run as a DM have been a very heavily modified and extended versions of official modules. As a player, I've played both in homebrew campaigns and official modules.

I have also drawn around 300+ portraits with tokens of all the various NPCs from Waterdeep, including the different factions, city watch, nobility, criminal gangs etc.

Playstyle & Preferences
──────────── · · ୨୧ · · ─────────────

My introduction to D&D was through Critical Role, and I have learned and developed my playstyle while watching them. It's hard to create a 'truthful' ranking of what I enjoy most in a game, but I think anything that relates to the journey of the characters, their developing friendships in-group and with NPCs, and the interesting dynamics that can be explored organically is what I enjoy most.

  1. Roleplay
  2. Exploration
  3. Combat

While I do happily abide by most of the rules as written, I am definitely both a player and DM who enjoys the rule-of-cool where flexibility and creativity is afforded within reason.

As a player around a table, I'm quick to initiate conversation and try to create space for everyone to explore their characters and stories. I do have a very strong preference for using cameras during the game, as it makes immersion and communication much easier in my experience!

Preferred Classes & Characters
──────────── · · ୨୧ · · ─────────────

I tend to lean heavily towards caster- or healer classes, and my favorite class to play is Bard. Usually I play a supporting combatant or a healer in a group dynamic.

I am fond of making tweaks and adjustments to 'customize' my PC where it makes sense. Things like changing the damage type to feel more cohesive to the theme, or using playtest/UA-content that works with the character concept etc.

Some suggested characters:

➽──────── Jade Rivenheart ─────────❥

Jade is a half-elf bard and a danseur noble from the ballet halls of Neverwinter. An uncommonly beautiful man, Jade has always relied on his appearance to achieve his ambitions. When tragedy tore down his perfect life, he was forced to turn elsewhere for the strength to free himself from his new circumstance. He survived by accepting the aid of an entity who offered only vague allusions to the cost, but has yet to understand the true price for his liberty. Now he stays in hiding, getting by on old tricks and fearing his past.

➽───────── Ros Lovelace ──────────❥

Ros is a human conjuration wizard born into a prestigious line of arcanists, who struggles to keep up with her family's legacy. Failure and disappointment led her to reckless experimentation. In her efforts to prove herself, she conjured a familiar beyond the boundaries of the spell's contract. She is now bound to a greater demon - and he to her - with no ability to undo the pact between them. To avoid the consequences of her dangerous spellwork, Ros ran away (new demonic 'friend' in tow) to look for a way to end the pact between them.

Interested?

If you think I’d be a good fit, feel free to reach out via chat or messages! Please let me know what system you’re running and tell me a bit about your group and game!

If this post isn’t marked as closed, I’m still looking.

LFG / LFP [PF2E] [Online] [6pm CET/GMT+2 on week days, full day on Saturday] Player looking for a group ahead toward high level [EN/FR]

Hello hello, I'll go straight to the point:

30+ he/him

Time indicated is mostly for week days, on saturdays I can play during the day.

I'm currently in a group going through early Strength of Thousand and while I do appreciate it I would like to also play a more action leaning adventure at the same time.

I've seen posts about Hellbreakers and Hell's Destiny and I'm pretty interrested in either or both, getting into high level play after several years is something I really want to do. Could be other APs (Kingmaker, Spore War, 1e conversions...) or even homebrew though, those are just the ones I recently came accross that seemed interresting.

I tend to play gishes (either as pure damage dealers or more tanky) and with Magus remaster coming up (and Runesmith...) there is a lot of things I want to experiment with playing that !
I have good system mastery, play my turns quickly in combat so we can stay engaged and I am willing to support and help newer players to learn !

I very rarely miss sessions, and always warn days in advance when it does happen. I am still involved in the roleplay aspect, as it makes for more engaging combats imo.

Feel free to DM me if you think i'd be a fit at your table !

I won't join if you use AI.
LGBTQ friendly is a must.

LFP (Looking for Players) [Online][D&D 5e 2014][CET/CEST][Player] 28M Looking for a group (one-shots or campaigns)

Hi everyone!

I’m a 28-year-old guy from the Netherlands looking for a group to play D&D with.

I only started playing tabletop D&D a little while ago, but after my first few sessions I was completely hooked. Since then I’ve been spending way too much time reading about the game, thinking up character ideas, and wishing I had more opportunities to play. Unfortunately, I don’t really have people around me who play, so I thought I’d try my luck here.

I’m still fairly new, but I’m not starting from zero. I’ve played quite a bit of Baldur’s Gate 3 and have a few tabletop sessions under my belt, so I’m comfortable with the basic rules and combat. I know there’s still a lot to learn, and that’s actually one of the things I’m most excited about.
What really appeals to me is experiencing everything D&D has to offer. I don’t have much roleplaying experience yet, but I’m someone who likes to fully commit when I pick up a new hobby. I want to improve at roleplaying, get invested in characters and stories, and create those memorable moments that make people talk about a campaign years later.

Outside of the game, I’d describe myself as relaxed, reliable and easy to get along with. I’m not looking to steal the spotlight or “win” D&D. I just want to have fun, contribute to the group, and help create a great experience for everyone at the table.

I’m open to pretty much anything: one-shots, mini-campaigns, or longer campaigns if we click. I can play in English or Dutch and I’m generally available during weekday evenings and weekends, except Tuesday and Thursday evenings (CET/CEST).

If you think I’d be a good fit for your group, feel free to send me a message!

Thanks for reading, and hopefully I’ll see you at the (virtual) table :)

LFG (Looking for GM) [Online][GMT][Evenings][5E 2014][Lancer]

Hi all! My boyfriend and I are looking to join a new table. We are 22/21 he/him & he/they from outside Edinburgh Scotland, with 6 years experience playing dnd together. We have played various campaigns both official and homebrew, as well as various other system one shots and a full Lancer Campaign. My boyfriend has taken the DM seat a few times and I've taken it once before myself.

We love all aspects of ttrpgs but are suckers for a good setting and rp over a gritty dungeon crawl. Ideally we would join an 18+ game as we aren't too comfortable playing with children. Must be queer friendly. I myself am an artist and will always offer my hand at drawing a villain or important NPC for the DM to truly get a vision across, as I believe that's important in an rp setting and I don't believe in the use of AI.

We have availablavailability from 7:30pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and 8:15pm Sunday. If you would like us at your table my discord is sunnygh0st I hope we can be friends!

Heya
Been trying to find a group to join as I'm trying to fill up my time a bit more. here are a few bits of info on myself

I have around 5 years of experience in dnd 5e (2014) and have mostly played on roll20 often using discord as a means of communication. I am open to learning other systems such as pathfinder and the like i only ask you are patient with me it takes me a while to learn but once i do it becomes natural

i am 22M

Time zone is GMT

my available days are:
\-Monday after 12:00 pm GMT
\-Tuesday to Thursday after 15:00 pm GMT
\-Saturday after 15:00 pm GMT

I love the role-play aspect and mostly looking for those moments where the role-play just becomes natural between the players. be it the big moments where we would have saved a a kingdom from a dragon or the smaller moments such as traveling on the roads and indulging in banter.

I love team play and coordination between the players and everyone getting their spotlight as i absolutely adore learning about my peers characters their stories and personalities (even if our characters may not get along)

if any of this fits the group you are running and need one more to tag along please contact me

LFG (Looking for GM) [Online][5e 2024] [CET/CEST] [Player] 27F Beginner looking for a D&D group (English/German)

Hi everyone!

I’m a 27-year-old female from Germany, and I’m looking to finally dive into the world of D&D. I am a complete beginner, but I’m incredibly excited and super motivated to start playing!

I am looking for a group that plays either online (strictly within European timezones, ideally CET/CEST) or in-person within the Berlin-Brandenburg area. I want to keep scheduling simple and travel times short, so I can't travel further than Berlin-Brandenburg for offline games.

Regarding playstyle, I am personally more drawn to the roleplaying and exploration aspects of the game. I know that combat is a big part of D&D and I'm definitely looking forward to learning it, but a good balance with a focus on story and character interactions would be perfect for me.

Ideally, I would love to play in German, but I am also completely open to playing in English! My English is good, though I might need a tiny bit of time to get used to the specific D&D terminology, but I am a very fast learner.

If you have a beginner-friendly table or are starting a new group, I’d love to hear from you! 😊

LFP (Looking for Players) [Online][5e 2024][CEST][Saturdays 18:00–22:00][18+] Kalvard: Threads of Ruin - Long-Term, Player-Driven Homebrew Campaign

Hey there! I’m a 24-year-old GM looking for four players to join a long-term campaign set in my homebrew world.

At a Glance

  • System: D&D 5e (2024 rules)
  • Open Slots: 4
  • Starting Level: 3
  • Schedule: Saturdays, 18:00–22:00 Europe/Berlin time (currently CEST; CET in winter)
  • Frequency: Weekly
  • Format: Online using Discord voice and FoundryVTT through The Forge
  • Language: English
  • Age Requirement: 18+
  • Experience: New and experienced players are both welcome
  • Campaign Style: Player-driven, plot-rich dark fantasy with meaningful character arcs

Campaign Premise

Kalvard: Threads of Ruin

The King is dead.

And on the day of the jubilee, no less.

What should have been a day of celebration became a day of mourning. What began as mourning soon gave way to weeks of unrest, suffering, and uncertainty.

His successor now wears the crown, but he has inherited a kingdom entering its most dangerous period since its founding. The Four Pillars of Kalvard remain loyal to the throne, yet loyalty alone has not held the realm steady. Old rivalries have resurfaced. Conflicting counsel divides the royal court. Across the kingdom, cracks are beginning to show.

Beyond the palace walls, forces long in motion are beginning to converge.

A mysterious addictive substance known only as "Violet Reverie" is spreading through the cities in alarming quantities. Weapons of foreign design and strange artifacts are appearing in the hands of criminals, opportunists, and the desperate. Colossal mechanical constructs have been sighted stalking through Kalvard’s forests. Influential figures vanish or die under mysterious circumstances. Villages are found razed overnight, their people gone, leaving neither bodies nor witnesses behind. Tombs and crypts are being desecrated, and the bodies of Kalvard’s greatest heroes have vanished from their graves.

And in the north, a ravenous hydra has become something no living creature was ever meant to be.

These incidents may appear unrelated. Yet across Kalvard, there is a growing sense that the king’s death did not merely mark the end of an era. It may have begun a spiral that could bring the kingdom itself to ruin.

Whether Kalvard survives this new age will depend on which threats are confronted, which truths are uncovered, and which dangers are allowed to grow unchecked.

The campaign begins on May 8th, Year 50 A.R., just over one month after the king’s death. You will enter Kalvard during these turbulent times, drawn into a realm where factions pursue their own ambitions, unresolved situations continue to develop, and the world moves whether you intervene or not.

The threats you pursue, the alliances you form, the secrets you uncover, and the enemies you leave unchecked will determine what remains when the crisis is over.

Expect a long-term, choice-driven fantasy campaign built around evolving situations, meaningful character arcs, memorable relationships, distinctive combat, powerful enemies, difficult choices, and a world that responds to how you approach it. Your actions, inaction, victories, and failures will permanently shape the future of Kalvard.

What Kind of Campaign Is This?

The campaign will include:

  • Meaningful choices with lasting consequences
  • Characters whose backgrounds and ambitions become part of the story
  • A mixture of roleplay, problem-solving, investigation, exploration, and dangerous combat
  • Factions and NPCs with their own motives, relationships, and plans
  • Situations that continue to develop whether the party intervenes or not
  • Difficult decisions without a predetermined “correct” answer
  • A serious dark-fantasy tone with room for warmth, heroism, wonder, banter, and humor

The campaign will give you situations, leads, and developing threats to engage with, but the party will decide what to pursue and how to approach it. Not every problem has to be solved through combat, and not every threat will be safe to confront immediately.

This is intended to be a cooperative campaign. Characters can disagree and have conflicts of their own, but everyone should create someone who has a genuine reason to work with the party. PvP or party betrayal will not occur without prior agreement from the group.

About Me

I started GMing around five years ago and have since run several campaigns of varying lengths. Although it has been some time since I last ran a full campaign, I have spent a great deal of time developing and preparing this one. I am looking forward to returning to regular weekly sessions and settling back into the rhythm of running the game.

I don’t expect myself or anyone else at the table to be perfect. What matters to me is being able to communicate openly, handle mistakes constructively, and build a campaign that everyone genuinely looks forward to playing.

Who I’m Looking For

You may be a good fit if you:

  • Want to commit to a weekly, long-term campaign
  • Enjoy becoming invested in the setting, party, and other characters
  • Are willing to create a character connected to the campaign and its world
  • Can share the spotlight and support other players’ moments
  • Communicate honestly about absences, problems, and boundaries
  • Are willing to learn, ask questions, and give and receive respectful feedback
  • Want to get to know the people you play with rather than treating the group as an anonymous weekly lobby

There is no expectation to be constantly active on Discord or participate in activities outside the campaign. I would simply like to find people who are open to getting to know one another naturally and, hopefully, enjoying each other’s company over time.

Experience and Requirements

Previous D&D or Foundry experience is not required. New and experienced players are equally welcome. What matters is a willingness to learn, commit to the campaign, adapt to the group’s style of play, and be patient with different levels of experience.

To join, you will need:

  • Reliable availability on Saturdays from 18:00–22:00
  • A genuine intention to attend weekly, with reasonable exceptions for illness, emergencies, and other circumstances communicated in advance whenever possible
  • The ability to communicate comfortably in spoken English
  • A clear, working microphone
  • A stable internet connection and a computer capable of running FoundryVTT
  • Discord and a free account on The Forge
  • Willingness to attend a voice interview, technical check, and Session 0

English does not need to be your first language—it isn’t mine either. You do not need native fluency or a particular accent; we just need to understand one another well enough to play comfortably.

You do not need a webcam, a Foundry license, expensive hardware, professional audio equipment, voice-acting ability, or extensive knowledge of the rules.

Content and Safety

This is a dark-fantasy campaign. It may include fantasy violence and death, corpses and undead, occult horror, corruption, addiction, exploitation, captivity, body horror, and civilians—including children—being placed in danger.

Sexual assault, explicit sexual roleplay, sexualized captivity, sexual content involving minors, and real-world slurs or identity-based harassment will not be part of the campaign.

The application form includes a private section where you can communicate your boundaries directly to me. We will also establish the group’s combined boundaries and safety expectations during Session 0.

How to Apply

If this sounds like a campaign you would enjoy, please fill out the following application form:

https://forms.gle/LKn7iNWKF69XKKNQ9

The form should take approximately 25–35 minutes to complete. It is not a rules test or creative-writing competition. It is there to help me understand what you enjoy, how you approach the game, and whether this campaign is likely to be a good fit for you.

Applications are not first come, first served. The form will remain open until:

23:59 CEST on Sunday, 26 July 2026

After reviewing the applications, I will invite a limited number of shortlisted applicants to an individual 30–45-minute voice conversation on Discord. This will be an informal opportunity for us to get to know one another, discuss the campaign, and see whether we are likely to be a good fit at the same table. You will also be able to ask any questions you have.

To keep the process manageable, I will only be able to contact shortlisted applicants. If you have not received an invitation by Sunday, 2 August 2026, please assume that I have decided to proceed with other applicants.

The campaign will begin with Session 0, followed by the first three regular sessions as a mutual trial period. This gives everyone a chance to make sure the group works well together in practice before deciding whether to continue together for the long term.

Please feel free to apply at any point while the form remains open. Thank you for reading, and I look forward to hearing from you!

LFP (Looking for Players) [Online][Other][HeavyRP][Pirate][Weekly][CET] 3 players needed for a Pirate Adventure with fantastical elements sprinkled in

Time: Weekly, Tuesdays at 5pm CET (slightly negotiable, but we won't start earlier than this). The session will not exceed 3 hours unless the group agrees and wants to finish a combat or similar.

Setting: The sea is vast, with many mysteries yet to be uncovered. Rumours and tales of an unknown land, a paradise on earth known as Eden has spread and many wish to find and relish in all the riches it provides. Only one place, wicked and eerie, could contain the island secure. Sanctus Archipelago, an open sea with many islands, beasts, terrifying sights. Notorious pirates fled pursuit of the navy organisations to seek freedom and escape their deaths. Many kingdoms, villages and the like inhabit the islands, even as Sanctus is largely uninhabited. The navy wanting to seek justice set up bases around or inside the territory, cutting them off from the main branches. The life on the sea takes much away, sanity, strength, will, time. However, those that rise to the occasion are remembered forever.

System: Welcome to FS (Mortals). The system in short is a highly customizable system allowing for freedom of actions and the build of narrative. You are normal people but interesting characters and will grow much, particularly in the begining. Here is a full show of the system and some homebrew for this game:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SasH76O-N3GHcFGBKGGtW0dw_VaAtkW9KXI7jpufjvA/edit?usp=drivesdk

Campaign: I would like to start the game with the players embarking from a ship to a port. Also, the group will be part of a pirate crew, down on it's luck. There will be many choices you can make to influence the world and the story will be woven inbetween that. The goal, or at least one, would be to choose between influencing change in this crew or eventually making your own, once the group is famous and experienced enough. Find items, gain powers, befriend allies and inevitably make enemies. This and much more is on the horizon.

Requirements:

-Value the time set and agreed on (emergencies happen and I empathize, as long as it's not regular).

-Feel free to speak up if anything is wrong and communicate however is easiest for you (we're all just trying to have a good time after all)

-Please read through a bit of the document provided (not all of it is necessary). I would like you to know: the introduction, rolling and health and stress at least (they are the main parts of the system). HARD MUST BEFORE CONTACTING ME

-RP will be a big part of this (at least 60% roughly, not that other things will be scarce, like combat or exploration, those will all be important)

Inspiration: I am basing the game on works such as Pirates of the Carribean and Black Sails. The first one having the adventuring spirit and amazing sense of wonder. The second gave off a more real, gritty life of pirates and their own way of thinking and values. Of course there is a sprinkle of One Piece as the story will have unusual and fairly strange events that will shake things up from time to time. All in all, I am looking forward to a very human (other races included) story about death, ambition, freedom, faith and treasure.

Contact: DM me first so we can go over some basic questions and then we could talk over discord before decisions are made

LFP (Looking for Players) [online] [other] [4pm GMT] Sunday, July 26 ༄ When Sky & Sea Were Not Named ༄ Formless and Void

Ahoy, strangers! I'm the creator of When Sky & Sea Were Not Named, a fantasy game inspired by ancient Phoenician mythology and other bronze age cultures, and the "open-air" gameplay of the new Zelda games.

I'll be running a one-shot adventure called Formless and Void, which is more or less the name of the mystery and danger that awaits you on Kituan.

  • When: Sunday, July 26, 4:00pm GMT. The session will last 3-4 hours.
  • Where: Theater of the mind (Discord audio)
  • Who: LGBTQ+ friendly, 18+ (content will be PG-13, but I'm old)

What: The system is "medium-crunch"—I think it's a little easier to learn and faster to play than D&D. The tone is heroic, fast-paced, a little dark, a little goofy.

You can read more about the game and find a free public beta on RPG Trader or itchio. I'll share a slightly updated version of the rulebook for this session. But no need to know the rules before we play; I'll explain as we go. You can make your own hero or use a pregen.

The other players in the session so far have a mix of experience playing the game. We have a pretty chill community, and new folks are always welcome!

Interested? Have questions? Comment here or find me on Discord—I'm apurpleperson.

Closed Tellurian: Depths of an Empire. [5e 2014] [18+] [Thursdays] [CET] [RP Focus]

My dear Tellurian,

You are a world of beauty, propelled by the many years granted by the comets and your silly gods.

A world that never seems to stop surprising everyone with its many twists and turns.

When the sky islands appeared and were pulled off the landmass, surging in a change into technology, discovering new heights and lost artifacts. We saw the development of aerial travel with our uniquely beautiful airships. Getting to explore all the new facets of your expansive sky.

But now I, Dolan Gazamere, am more curious about the gaps it left behind.

In the middle of the Illithion Empire, below the new sky island that holds the capital of Erantel, a large nation-sized crater has filled with water and has been lovingly named the Illion Sea after the continent itself. It is said that many tunnels have opened up in the crevices of this sea, hidden places of our people’s history that have long been forgotten and are jumping to be rediscovered.

And on top of that, it's whispered that the Tomb of the first Emperor of the Illithion Empire still rests here, unfound with riches beyond even my wildest imagination.

As such, I have put my money where my mouth is and invested in my own personal Magitech Train called “The Leyline”, created by the best craftsmen the Thunderforge guild has to offer! As I aim to head around the Illithion Empire to recruit a crew to come with me and dive deep into this new adventure and discover the mysteries and riches of the past, so when all is said and done, we will be both richer in gold and items. Still, more importantly, we will have a wealth of stories to share once we come home.

So, won't you join me?

In Tellurian: Depths of an Empire

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi all,

My name is Charlo, and I am the DM for this new campaign I plan to run called Tellurian: Depths of an Empire.

Some basic information:
- Weekly sessions on Thursday from 19:00 to 22:00
- Foundry VTT
- D&D Beyond
- 5e 2014, with some rules from 2024 here and there for convenience and house rules (which you can have a say in)
- LGBTQ+ Friendly and welcome.
- Roleplay focus. So expect around 1 combat per 3-5 sessions. (Will explain further below)

About me and the campaign:

As I said, my name is Charlo, I am 29 years old from the Netherlands, and currently, I've run 7 homebrew campaigns in my 13 years of D&D. I am very passionate about stories and about treating the story as a puzzle that I want my players to solve. So things that happened in session 3 will have left a clue that will help make sense of a mystery in session 40.
I also have a great love for making maps, albeit I'm not the greatest at it, and love bringing the world to life on a VTT you can go around in to explore.

One of the things I enjoy most in D&D is roleplay, and I will spend most of my campaign trying to engage people in doing so, either together or with NPCs I have walking around. As said above, I run a combat around once every 3-5 sessions. My philosophy is that combat should aid and enhance the story. So if there is no compelling story motive for combat, I generally avoid including it. In other words, I don't like random combat encounters for the sake of combat.

The campaign is set in Tellurian, a world made of my own, which you will become more acquainted with once you join. There are islands floating in the skies, cities and communities living deep within the ground, and nations that are ever vying for power. The gods themselves are very much present in the world and will try to move and sway actions in the direction of their desire. And there will be lots to explore in its history.

The setting is in the twilight of the industrial age, the advancements of technology brought forth airships, trains, cars (of sorts), and so many convenient appliances. It brought forward accessible healthcare for most and the ability to travel where they want.

But due to progress being so fast, most towns, villages, and cities are still in their old husk. Only very wealthy capitals will hold new construction projects that highlight the change in scenery and a glimpse into the future.

Who are you?

- You are 18+
- You are an engaged roleplayer not afraid to ask questions.
- You are, if nothing else, someone willing to learn and explore.
- You have a decent enough mic so we can communicate online.
- You know that resolving problems starts with having a conversation about it.
- You know or are willing to learn when you should shine yourself or let others shine during a game.
- You really enjoy talking in character and getting into it.

What next?

If you are still interested in this campaign after what you read, please fill in this form so I can learn a bit more about you.
If I like what I read, I will invite you on Discord to have a 1-on-1 chat to see if we are compatible and both want to move forward, and of course, to answer any questions we both might have. If, after all that, we still both go forward, then I'll invite you to the campaign, and we can look forward to a Session 0 with the rest of the players.

Hope to hear from you soon!

LFP (Looking for Players) [Online][CET][WoD] Storyteller/DM looking for players interested in playing one of the World of Darkness settings.

Hello everyone,

Recently I've (re)discovered the World of Darkness setting and I've immensely enjoyed being a Storyteller for a small campaign with friends last year.
However, mostly due to scheduling, we can no longer continue our chronicle for the foreseeable future. I would still really like to play WoD, which is why I figured I'd try posting here.

I have a bit of DM experience. Done several small campaigns for DnD and WoD, but I'm not super experienced.
I'm currently looking for 4-5 players who would be interested in going through a small chronicle in one of the World of Darkness settings. Frequency would probably be bi-weekly or once a month depending on availablity and sessions would be on friday or saturday night (Paris timezone).

For those of you who are not familiar with the World of Darkness, it is a TTRPG-franchise that basically takes place in a darker, edgier version of our own world. A world where various supernatural factions fight eachother in the shadows.
WoD has various settings (called splats) within the larger world, mostly seperated but still able to encounter eachother, with different supernaturals.
The most famous one of them being Vampire the Masquerade, where you have to navigate the politics and battles of the Final Nights as a fledgling vampire.
Other splats are:

Mage the Ascension : Humans who can secretly work Magic and fight eachother for control of Magic and personal ascendance
Werewolf the Apocalypse : Secret werewolves fighting for the survival of the planet Earth and the Spirit World
Changeling the Dreaming: Secret fairies try to keep dreams and imagination alive by fighting against banality (and eachother)
Hunter the Reckoning : Normal humans who got a glimpse of the other splats and decided to hunt them for Humanity's sake.
Wraith the Oblivion: Ghosts stuck in Purgatory who most try to resist undead bureaucracy and their own self-destructive tendencies to move on to the Afterlife.
There are several more, but these are the biggest ones.

I'm not really familiar with online TTRPG-groups, but we would probably use Discord for voice-chatting/ screensharing and several online tools for character sheets and dicerolling. But any advice would be appreciated in that regard.

Personally I would prefer Mage or Werewolf, but all settings are fine for me.
If any (or all) of these settings sound interesting to you and you are willing to give playing it online a try, comment on the post or PM me. I'll happily answer your questions and look if we can play together and do stuff like set up a session 0 or a test run.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

LFG (Looking for GM) [Online] [Other] [Looking for Group] [CET] Looking to play LANCER

Greetings TTRPG community! My name is Max (26, they/he), and, as the title says, I'd really like to play a game of LANCER.

For my preferences, I'd like a game that is a somewhat even split between RP and combat, though I don't mind the ratio being slanted in either direction as long as the other side is not outright neglected. I'm not very good with more sandboxy stuff and more prone to just go along with the rest of the group in those situations. The times that would work best for me are anything between monday and thursday in the late afternoons in my time zone (CET), though I'm somewhat flexible and willing to make things work if push comes to shove.

That's pretty much all I can think of saying from my end, if you have any questions for me, comments and DMs are both welcome and appreciated. Hope to hear from you!

LFG (Looking for GM) [Dnd 5e/5.5e] [Online] [CEST][Looking for a group] Looking for a one shot

Hello!

I'm 27, F. I'm a dnd newbie. My first and only campaign is on hiatus right now, and I'm itching to try out different character concepts. However, I can't currently commit to a long campaign, so I'm looking for one shots or something that's going to last a couple sessions.

I'm Italian, so I'd be super excited to find an Italian group, but obviously English works just as well.

I use Discord for VC and Roll20 for everything else but, as long as a platform is free and doesn't require personal information such as phone number, I don't really mind branching out.

I struggle with roleplay - mostly I feel pretty awkward and hesitant to jump in - so I'd love a RP focused one shot to push me out of my comfort zone.
