I intentionally put this under the science and technology flair of this subreddit because I believe this post demonstrates the magic we can achieve with real-time communication and online deliveries today.

Many of my pro-BJP friends, who had always turned a blind eye, have suddenly started criticizing the BJP. Many colleagues I know from Pune are also saying they won't be voting for the BJP in 2029.

after 43 days of applying, i finally got my passport in hand today. couldn’t imagine i’d be getting it in just 1.5 months after everything that happened.
huge thanks to adhikary sir at bansdroni police station. i’ve seen so many complaints on this sub specifically about bansdroni police office but sir was genuinely good and got my verification done fast.
also a big f you to azadgarh posok for harassing me over not having a digital birth certificate. in the end i got my passport without any digital birth certificate at all.
thanks to everyone on this sub who supported me and gave advice during this whole mess, it really helped. so happy right now.

I know it's appropriate for this sub (someone told me) but still I'm posting this for those who are still defending the government!

We will keep it short and to the point.

We have all seen what is happening in Delhi right now and for the past couple of days. And yes, we think we can shade our own political differences aside and unanimously agree that the response to the well-justified and by large a peaceful protest is high-handed and unfair and maybe injudicious too.

So for now, even if it goes against one of the core principles of our Kolkata subreddit, i.e catering to those news and stories and opinions pertinent to Kolkata and West Bengal, we have decided that the posts about the student protest in Delhi will not be removed, for the time being.

But please keep in mind

1. The posts have to follow general reddit site wide guidelines and ToS.

2. Rest of our sub rules apply without any exception.

3. Discretion of mods is final. If any of you has any problems and/or suggestions regarding these, please feel free to contact us via modmail. Any posts/comments slandering the mods will be strictly dealt with.

4. Please make sure no derogatory/ hateful comments/posts are spread towards any community and/or other subreddit.

5. To maintain community standards, duplicate posts, and posts having speculation, spamming , misinformation etc. will be immediately removed.

We will keep you updated as and when, any decision is modified/removed/added.
