Imagine if…

Imagine a game created by Eiji Aonuma, Hayao Miyazaki and Hideo Kojima.
Aonuma would create the exploration, gameplay and world design.
Miyazaki would bring the atmosphere, beauty, creatures and emotional heart.
Kojima would craft the overarching story, mystery and cinematic direction.
Three creative visions. One unforgettable adventure.
I’d play this on day one.

Really? I only an hour and 15 minutes into Policenauts and it needs disc 2 already? The cutscenes must take up a lot of room!

I am fairly certain on what OD's gameplay is about

First off, I'm going to say that this is just a fun theory and take all of this with a grain of salt.

After watching the trailers million times and also taking a look at couple of the allegedly leaked gameplay clips (which I'm obviously not going to post here, don't know if it's against the rules of the subreddit) I noticed that there seems to be a big focus on eyes.

For instance, in the KNOCK-trailer there are many eyes on the walls of the room that react differently in relation to what is happening in the gameplay.

When the player enters the room, the eyes are just casually looking around and scanning for information. When the "entity" enters the rooms after the player, the eyes grow big almost as if they are afraid of what they are seeing.

Also, in the "allegedly" leaked gameplay clip (you can find it on YouTube by searching: "od leaked gameplay".) the blue dressed woman is walking in a dark room with a flashlight. In the bottom-left there is the player who seems to be looking fairly straight at the gameplay/controller or something else. At 35 seconds into the clip a red dot appears in the darkness and the game seems to activate a unique event based off of that. What if the player was looking into the darkness and that activated the event?

Another reason why I'm thinking this is because as we all know, Kojima is a madman and likes to tease his audience. One line that stood out to me in Kojima's interview with Entertainment Weekly was: "I can't reveal much detail, but it's something that no one has ever SEEN before. A new game system." Emphasis on the word "seen".

So in a nutshell, I think the game will involve eye-tracking technology in addition to traditional controls via keyboard and mouse or a controller to activate certain events, track the players gameplay and do some other cool things that perhaps no one knows about yet.

Now I know that there probably already are videogames that take use eye-tracking but perhaps what Kojima is aiming for here is more refined and not as cut and dried.

All in all, the keyword is VISION. What if "OD" stand for something like "Optical Diopter" (thank you google AI for teaching me the following): "D" stands for Diopter. A diopter is the standard unit of measurement used to calculate the refractive power of a lens."

I might be crazy but nevertheless, I can't wait to see what OD has in store for us!

Plese tell me what you think about my theory and let me know if there are other bulletpoints you would add.

Movie List

Sorry if this has been asked before. I’m trying to get more into cinema and movies, and I love Kojima’s games. I was wondering if there’s a list out there of movies Kojima loves and recommends, or something along those lines. Thanks!

Instead of being sad I have an idea for Sony

I am really sad about “no disc” decision I just wanted to try something a way out for a humble possible light for this “no disc” decision something that at the same time that will please the producers I mean the product headquarters and the users a meeting point but I don’t deny that thinking out loud can be pointless like mine but may be to create a triggering of other minds superior to mine for sure🙈🙈🙈 Prior to possible ps6 , without boasting myself why not adding a law that will only allow users to turn their digital copies in to physical just with the condition not to sell it , then this will give the users the possibility and freedom to either use for those who does not want physical keep their copies digital and for those who still want to keep their copies for personal use only still continue to keep a physical copy of the game but this game by the ps6 will only be rewritten in a form of only this user will be owning it and wont be able to sell it so ps6 will be able to restrict the format to only being able yo keep it for oneself so ps6 would be good for having this type of restricted digital copy disc image creator for physical disc lovers just a little trying to show my sensibility on it without boasting it I don’t want to mean to create any selfish thing
I am thinking out loud ? Would not it be nice as well as for Sony as the consumers , I am sorry in case I unknowingly created chaos that’s not my intention

THE WHOLE TRUTH ABOUT KOJIMA AND KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS

We all know that Kojima invites popular stars like Stefanie Joosten, Elle Fanning, Margaret Qualley, and Norman Reedus to his studio. And all of them, at least to some extent, have shown their heels in Kojima's games. And now everything has finally become crystal clear...

KOJIMA CREATED KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS SOLELY TO SCAN THE HEELS OF POPULAR STARS USING HUNDREDS OF CAMERAS IN 8K RESOLUTION!

Consequently, to ensure you never find yourself in such a vulnerable position, you must strictly follow the CYF (Cover Your Feet) protocol, which was established based on these findings and analysis:

  1. DO NOT ENTER A ROOM FILLED WITH MULTIPLE CAMERAS. The very moment you are requested to undergo a 3D scan for a game, make sure to state explicitly in your Digital Likeness Release contract that you refuse to expose your character in any way. Pay close attention to what this entails in the next rule.
  2. NEVER LOOK KOJIMA IN THE EYE. Kojima is the absolute god of his studio. If he takes too much of a liking to you, HE WILL CALL THE GUARDS AND VIOLENTLY SCAN YOUR ENTIRE BODY! Even if you signed the protective contract mentioned above, he will hire 100 of the best lawyers in Japan to locate a loophole and get exactly what he wants! Especially during deep, heartfelt conversations: never show him photos from your beach vacations, avoid wearing open outfits that reveal your lower legs, and do not bring up the topic of feet at all.
  3. GOD FORBID YOU EVER WALK AROUND KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS IN SLIPPERS OR ANY OTHER OPEN-TOED SHOES!
  4. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY ACCIDENTALLY EXPOSED YOUR FEET or other body parts in the studio, and they have already made it into the game... your best bet is to go completely off the grid for a while. If Kojima decides to develop a new game... HE WILL TRACK YOU DOWN, AND ALL OF THESE SAFETY RULES WILL BECOME ABSOLUTELY USELESS!
  5. If you are strictly following all these rules, it would also be a great idea to appease Kojima by gifting him 3D figurines of cool characters, as well as showing appreciation for his legendary work. As our research shows, this significantly softens the severity of the previous rules, but still - do not cross the line. Because if you overdo it... all hell will break loose.

Thank you for reading. (These rules were written out of pure respect for Hideo Kojima and all the actors mentioned above).

Kojima watches “Supergirl” (movie review) in IMAX.

"I saw “Supergirl” in IMAX. It wasn’t a “superhero movie” about saving the Earth through self-sacrifice as “justice” confronts “evil.” It was a coming-of-age story about saving oneself, Kara, as she struggles with her own trauma. Structurally, it feels less like “Mad Max: Fury Road” (2015), where everyone is driven purely by survival instinct beyond notions of good and evil, and more like The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966), where heroes, villains, and scoundrels all converge."

I just finished MGS 2.... My god this is one of the most profound pieces of media that I have ever consumed Spoiler

Now i have a knack for stuff that is profound. My favorite game of all time is NieR Automata which i consider to be the most profound game ever made.

But this, I dont even think I played the game, The game played me like a dammed Fiddle.

Starting the game i didnt really think i would like the game all that much. Going through the bomb section, doing a back and forth, finding all the nodes, it was all really tedious. So i was thinking "man this game cant be as good as MGS 1" Boy im so thankful that i was wrong.

When i met the President and he started to talk about the Patriots, that caught my eye... This bullshigity is probably happening as we speak. I move on and E.E. tells me about GW. Holy mother of god my mouth was on the floor when this happened. Information, all across the world altered, changed as the elites see fit. Changing the past, how an individual reacts, changing the future itself, my goodness.

And then Roy's cover falls. He has been an illusion created by GW on Raiden's head. Was he even real in MGS 1? Like... Holy. Then comes the S3 protocol, a protocol which proves that given the right cirsumstances, you can make a person do anything, achieve anything, became the legend itself. This dude Ocelot fooled Solidus, Dead Cell, Raiden, Snake, EVEN ME.

And then the full truth is revealed. what the patriots actually want. No individual though, No self, no difference, everyone will be told what the patriots want, they will see what the patriots want, every thought will be the same. There will be no more conflict cuz everything will be already processed.

The way Campbell keeps babbling about random stuff which makes no sense and raiden just listens...is simply what social media is. You consume but dont think, bots as we speak make up the majority of the internet, we dont know what real or not. We dont even think about that, there is no thought. What the hell did kojima smoke before making this my goodness. Govt has already said that they use mematic warfare to divert the minds of people, if they can say this, how much are they hiding.

I cant even imagine coming up with this stuff at a time when thinking of stuff like this basically makes you an insane conspiracy theorist. And when you play this game today, you just see HOW much it has predicted.

Am i going insane? is this the intended experience?
