Klaviyo Composer is now in public beta: build campaigns with AI grounded in your data

Post image
9 Upvotes

The problem with using ChatGPT to build campaigns isn't the copy. It's that ChatGPT doesn't know your segments, your catalog, or what's actually converted for your customers, so the setup still lands on you.

Composer does. It's built on your data, grounded in 14+ years of performance across 193,000 brands.

Tell it what you want (say, a 90-day winback across email and SMS) and it drafts the whole thing. Audiences built, copy written across every email and text, ready to send in under 30 minutes. Nothing goes out without your approval.

It works on existing flows too. Ask it where a sequence is losing customers and it'll tell you exactly where the drop-off is and what to fix.

Composer is live in public beta today, with free credits on every account, enough to actually test it.

What's the first campaign you'd hand off?

Cancelled subscription but still getting invoiced

Does anyone have an email address for support on Klaviyo? It's so annoying that you can only reach support via your account dashboard. I cancelled my subscription and deleted my account on 9 June, but today I got invoiced for $45. None of their email addresses work and I keep getting a bounce back email to reach support via my account. But I don't have an account anymore so I can't do that!!! There is this link where I can log a ticket but even that's not working - the 'submit' button doesn't work!
https://help.klaviyo.com/hc/en-us/account-access-request

I'm at a loss, and have no idea how to raise this with Klaviyo. Would appreciate any help!

where are you sourcing product images for email flows without a full studio shoot?

Our email flows are starving for fresh product shots.

For context, I do retention for a fashion label and the studio books out weeks ahead, so every reshoot for a new colorway or a seasonal flow eats budget we'd rather put into sends. Lifestyle imagery is the worst offender, because we can't just drop the flat PDP shot into a welcome or a winback.

So i'd like to know how you guys are feeding your flows? Pulling from the PDP set, shooting in-house, or using one of the AI generators?

We're still on Photoroom for the quick stuff, but someone on my team started generating our basics with Tayla and I can't tell the difference in the inbox, which has me wondering where the rest of you have landed.

Do you use Klaviyo Smart Translations?

We're running a multi-market D2C Ecom website with 25 languages. We wanted to start localizing the emails that we sent via klaviyo but the translations are not very good and also the workflow to update translations after an update in the source copy is terrible.
I am wondering - are there many other users of Smart Translations or it's mostly a niche feature that very few of us use? Is your experience with it the same as mine or I'm using it the wrong way?

šŸ’° Could one Klaviyo update actually lower your billing?

It might.

Klaviyo's new Multi-Email Profiles feature allows a single customer profile to store up to five email addresses.

At first glance, it sounds like a small technical update. It's much bigger than that.

Think about how customers behave:

šŸ“§ They subscribe with Gmail.

šŸ›’ They check out with Apple Pay.

šŸ’¼ Months later, they order again using their work email.

Until now, many brands ended up with multiple profiles for the same customer.

That meant:

āŒ Duplicate contacts

āŒ Fragmented customer history

āŒ Broken automations

āŒ Poor personalization

šŸ’ø And potentially more billable profiles than necessary.

With Multi-Email Profiles, those identities can be unified into a single customer profile (when Klaviyo has a reliable identity signal like an External ID).

The result?

āœ… Better personalization

āœ… Cleaner reporting

āœ… Smarter automations

āœ… And for many brands... a leaner, more accurate customer database that could reduce profile-related billing.

I wrote a full article explaining:

šŸ”¹ Why this update matters beyond the feature itself

šŸ”¹ How identity resolution actually works

šŸ”¹ Why External IDs are the real hero

šŸ”¹ What every ecommerce brand should audit today

šŸ“– Read the full article in the comments.

If you're running an eCommerce brand on Klaviyo, this is one update you shouldn't ignore.

Which ESP are you using the most in 2026?

Hi everyone,

I’m doing some research before prioritizing the next integration forĀ Email-Slicer.

Right now, it supports Klaviyo, but we’re looking at expanding to other ESPs. Rather than making assumptions, I’d like to understand what people here are actually using.

Which platform is your team’s primary ESP today?

  • Omnisend
  • Braze
  • Iterable
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Customer .io
  • Mailchimp
  • HubSpot
  • Other?

I’d also be interested to know:

  • Approximately how many email campaigns do you produce each month?
  • If you could improve one part of your email production workflow, what would it be?

The goal is simply to prioritize the integrations and features that would be most valuable to the community.

Campaigns design vs segmentation

If I want to create a certain discount code ( let’s say buy socks and get hairband for free) for those customers who in the past purchased another product from the company (let’s say a t-shirt), but also another discount code for those who purchased socks to get off on another product, should I design separate campaigns and segment them to different people? Or it doesn’t work this way at all? I’m working in and agency as a designer but have some clients on the side, and all the campaigns are designed once and for all, how does it work on the Klaviyo management side? Are we not creating segments like ā€žsend this to those who previously purchased socks and can be interested in now getting tshirt+ hairband for freeā€?

Klink for iOS - Klaviyo dashboard app

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I made an app to make it easier to access our Klaviyo data on mobile. We’ve been using it for our business for the last few weeks to keep an eye on engagement whilst travelling.

It’s not quite ready for general use yet, but I’m thinking of polishing it up to release it - anyone interested in joining a beta? It’s lightweight, connects via OAuth to your Klaviyo account without any complex set up… just does its thing quickly and easily.

Reply in the comments if you’re interested and I’ll DM people when it’s ready for a beta.

[Whitepaper] Browsing Intent: A Practical Shopper Intent Signal for Ecommerce

Thumbnail drive.google.com
3 Upvotes

A field study across 15 ecommerce merchants on how recent browsing behavior can help identify and prioritize shoppers who may be closer to buying.

Sharing it here in case it’s useful to anyone running Klaviyo programs. I’d genuinely appreciate feedback, particularly on where you think the methodology or practical applications hold up or fall short.

Disclosure: I’m building a new company around this problem.

Shopify pixel events (Added to Cart, Checkout Started) only track for logged-in customers Klaviyo form submitters are invisible. Is this just how it works now?

Setup: Shopify store, Klaviyo integration fully connected, app embed on and

Ā  klaviyo.js loading fine, "Track behavioral events" enabled, and the

Ā  Shopify-branded metrics (Added to Cart, Checkout Started, Viewed Collection)

Ā  all exist in my Metrics list — so the pixel itself works.

Ā  The problem: those events only track when the visitor is logged into a Shopify

Ā  customer account (or types their email at checkout). Visitors identified

Ā  through a Klaviyo popup form get nothing. And it's not a cookie problem —

Ā  those same profiles show Active on Site and Form submitted events just fine,

Ā  so Klaviyo clearly knows who they are. The Shopify-branded events just never

Ā  attach to them.

Ā  What I've already checked, so we can skip the usual suggestions:

Ā  - "Sync profiles, profile data, and custom properties from Klaviyo to Shopify"

Ā  is ON, scope "All profiles", email subscription status included — the

Ā  migration doc says this is what makes Klaviyo form submitters identifiable for

Ā  these events, but it changes nothing

Ā  - Double opt-in is off

Ā  - Correct store connected, single Klaviyo account, no duplicate klaviyo.js

Ā  - Side-by-side test: same browser, same product — logged in = events track,

Ā  popup-identified = nothing

Ā  So is this just the reality of Shopify's sandboxed pixels (identity only comes

Ā  from Shopify's side), and the docs oversell what profile syncing does? Is

Ā  everyone just installing the legacy Added to Cart snippet to cover

Ā  form-identified visitors?

Ā  Would love to hear if anyone actually got Klaviyo-form-identified browsers to

Ā  produce Shopify-branded events without the legacy snippet.

My client is getting this weird symbols in the emails due to extra spacing. It happens with some email providers and not with others.

Is there a permanent fix for this issue, and how would you approach it?

Klaviyo vs Shopify for fashion

Hi guys, I run a small leather goods brand focusing on belts and wallets mainly belts. Currently trying to level up our retention and need to dive into email flows and campaigns, I'm very torn between Shopify native emails (messaging app) or klaviyo. My list is around 500 at the moment but growing at around 40 a week, klaviyo is decently expensive and I'm not sure if I will make full use of it but also if it recovers lost purchases then easily pays for itself, on the other hand Shopify is simple and in the Shopify dashboard and also free. Just very on the fence about this would love to hear advice especially if you have experience with fashion or similar. Cheers everyone!

I know this is a klaviyo sub but I'm trying to get a wide range of opinions including those form klaviyo fans, I'm sure I'm making this a bigger deal than it needs to be haha

Signup Form Popup Triggering Strategy

Currently, our signup form appears 20 seconds after a user visits the site. If the user ignores it, the form is shown again after 14 days.

What are your thoughts on this setup? Do you think this is the right approach, or should we adjust the frequency?

Also, please let me know if we should configure the popup to trigger on every PDP.

Welcome Flow

hey, I have a question.

after a customer registers in the email list with my pop-up, it sends a verification email which the user accepted. Normally it should start the Welcome Flow now, but the customers never get an email from that flow.

Any ideas why that is? I already checked and the customers get added to the right list. I have no filters in the Welcome Flow trigger.

Thanks for the help!

What should I do with 4,500 old newsletter signups collected on paper in a German/EU retail store?

Hi folks, I run a physical store and years ago (well before GDPR or modern German regulations), we had customers write down their emails on A4 sheets titled "Newsletter." I still have these paper signups as proof. I imported them into Klaviyo a while back, and now I see about 4,597 active profiles. However, I haven’t emailed these customers in years.

Given the current EU and German regulations, what would be the best approach now? Can I still consider these valid marketing consents, or should I re-confirm them before sending anything? Any advice on how to proceed—cleaning the list, running a re-opt-in campaign, or legal considerations—would be super helpful. Thanks!

Best way to get custom-designed HTML emails into Klaviyo in 2026?

I build my email flows as fully custom HTML (AI design tools spit out complete HTML now and it has gotten scary good). Right now I paste the HTML into Klaviyo's HTML editor (Content > Templates > Create > HTML editor) and it works, but I feel like there might be a cleaner, faster workflow I am missing.

For anyone running custom HTML in Klaviyo:

  1. Is pasting into the HTML editor still the best method, or is there a more efficient pipeline you use?

  2. How do you handle edits later without the template breaking?

  3. Any must-do checks so it renders well across all clients (Outlook, Gmail dark mode, iOS)

  4. Do you use hybrid templates with data-klaviyo-region so you can still drag and drop blocks, or keep it pure HTML?

Trying to move fast without sacrificing render quality across devices. What is your actual setup? Appreciate any tips.

Our EMQ's stuck around 5-6 no matter what we do. Anyone actually cracked this?

Set up CAPI a few weeks back (Shopify + a bit of custom backend for some events). Pixel's still running alongside it too. Was hoping EMQ would climb more than it has tbh. Just kind of stuck in the 5-6 range and nothing we try seems to push it past that.

Right now we're sending hashed email on most events, hashed phone only at checkout. No externalid yet since guest checkout makes it messy to have a consistent customer ID to hash.

Few things I'm genuinely unsure about:

Does adding externalid make a real dent in EMQ or is it more of a nice to have once email/phone are already going through?

Anyone noticed a real bump from adding fbp/fbc on top of hashed PII or is that more marginal than it sounds?

Is there just a natural ceiling here given how much guest checkout traffic we get (roughly 40% of orders)? Like is that an excuse and there's more to squeeze out?

Not chasing a perfect score, just trying to figure out if we're missing something obvious or if this is close to as good as it gets.

Curious what actually worked for you all. Also lemme know what you tried that didn't really move anything!
