Contact Lens Sensory & emotional overload after getting RGP lenses
Hi all!
I’ve just got both of my RGP lenses fitted and i’m starting the journey of getting used to them! I’ve gone from pretty terrible vision to 20-20, and so far it’s amazing.
One thing I didn’t expect to struggle with however was just how emotional it is being able to really SEE things for the first time (in a long time). I haven’t seen my fave this clearly since childhood and it’s really overwhelming. There is so much new sensory input and things are so much more detailed than I ever expected.
Has anyone else dealt with a rather large emotional reaction to seeing this clearly? I assume it’s rather common, but It’s be nice to talk to some people who understand!
Turns out i’m not as bad looking as I thought and it’s really shifting my perspective on a lot of things, who’d have guessed!
