We have lived in Katy for a little while now and recently discovered this popcorn shop tucked away in a corner on Pin Oak Rd. We always pass by the strip mall on the way to Katy Mills and church or while getting off the highway but decided to go in a few days ago, for the love of popcorn and what a treat!!
Wondering if anyone has ever heard of them or ordered for them. Met the owner and wish them nothing but the best. Looks like a good spot for Christmas gifts too. They do online ordering for pickup only (they deliver gift tins on request, I asked🙂).

Meet sweet Chico (#A2083489), a 6 months old baby with great notes!

Chico is calm and relaxed in his kennel but turns into a little pocket rocket once he’s outside. He’s playful, silly, and full of happy hops. He’s listed as a Staffordshire mix, but it looks like he’s got some shepherd, retriever, and hound in his DNA. He will most likely be a small to medium sized dog. He walks well on leash for his age, takes treats gently, and sits patiently when offered one. He met another puppy and did great, happily running parallel laps together.

He has a great temperament and hasn’t displayed any reactivity to other dogs in their kennels. He’s been very quiet and sleepy in his own kennel, but happily greets humans when approached.

this afternoon, my husband and I witnessed an amazon truck backed into a dumpster at our apartment complex in Katy/Richmond area. Once the driver took off, we peeked inside the dumpster. We found 3 large Amazon tote bags. 2 were filled with even more totes folded up. The 3rd tote had a couple unopened amazon packages, including ours!

We were tracking our order via the amazon app. for a brief moment the app read that it "lost signal" with the truck. We went around looking for it and that is when we uncovered the suspicious activity at the dumpster.

We have had several packages delivery delayed and even "lost in transit" from amazon. Now we know why.

A few weeks ago I asked this sub for barbecue recommendations while I was passing through Katy. I ended up stopping at Red River BBQ & Burger and wanted to come back and say thanks. I honestly wasn’t expecting much from the salad bar, but it was one of the better ones I’ve seen in a long time. Fresh, well stocked, and definitely not an afterthought. I also ordered one of their burgers, and it was excellent. Great flavor, cooked right, and easily one of the better burgers I’ve had in the Katy area. Appreciate everyone who pointed me in that direction. I’ll definitely be stopping back next time I’m passing through.

I recently moved to Katy. This is my first time experiencing a tropical storm. Where I live it floods when it’s a regular rain storm. Wind blows the rain into my patio whenever it’s a strong storm. So, should I get sand bags for my patio? I don’t want to over do it with the storm prep but I also don’t want to ignore the possible severity of this tropical storm.

I would be in Cinco Ranch near 99. I’m non-denominational and there is Second Baptist near my house but I heard controversial things about it

I’d like a big or mega church since that’s the size of the church that I went to in Austin but I would be fine with medium size too, I just really like meeting a lot of people and having an awesome community!!

My church goes by verse-by-verse sermons in the books and chapters of the Bible so any churches that do that would be good, I’m fine with topical stuff too.

I would want worship music to be contemporary and modern since that’s what my Austin church does for their services

Lastly, I would want to SERVE in the church in their ministries so any churches that have a GREAT kids/students/YA ministries would be amazing!! (I’m 25)
