Announcement Kaiserreich 1.6.4 Select Country Screen Update
We have released a small update to address the Select Country screen as well as handle compatibility with HOI4 version 1.19.1.
All countries with content are now represented by the Select Country screen. Do note that this update will reset the played status of all countries in the Select Country screen due to some changes we had to make.
This update is fully save-compatible with your existing savegames so you may continue without issue.

Image Ep 12 (special episode) of the top comment decide the Kaiserreich Formable: Druk Empire
To form this nation: as Bhutan, control nepal and Tibet (direct controll no puppet)
Formable suggested by: u/JazzyHugh
Ps: I FUCKING DID IT, Anyway why did i do this special episode even if i said in the rules that i wound't do it?
1 reason: the winner of yesterday votation (Ma kumul khanate) have the same flag and name of social democrats kumul khanate
2 reason: u/JazzyHugh is a bhutan developer, in exchange for this episode he would do a special event for me in bhutan, soo yes i can be corrupted (i'm sicilian you know) but please next time give me a hot a 18+ femboy I NEED THIS
Anyway if you want to do this path i suggest to do the normal path because is op (at least against the other king and the nat populist path)
and important thing, i had to cheat to do this in 2 occassion: 1 India declare war against me and i whitepeace (come on), 2 i puppet nepal for the war against tibet, because it was impossible without it, and anyway a have for this bitchass nation i have a eye infection soo idk about tomorrow

Question Anybody else see Russia lose in Central Asia almost every game nowadays, or is it just a case of every KR copy being personalized?
Not complaining though, adds some much needed variety to the region.

Discussion Kaiserreich is actually so good.
A long time ago, I made a post slandering this mod to no end. Well, 3,000 hours later, I finally tried it again, and I have to admit—it’s really damn good.
I played a game as Germany last night, and it was easily one of my favorite experiences in HOI4. I absolutely love the lore and the way the focus tree makes you feel. I constantly had to stop and think about which focus I wanted to take. It was so confusing, but honestly, I really enjoyed that part of it.
It genuinely feels like you’re trying to manage a new government, a new world order, and a vast empire.
So, I’m making this post to say: I’m sorry, Kaiserreich fans. This mod isn’t boring. ;-;

Discussion How powerful would the Commune of France and the Union of Britain realistically be, both industrially and militarily, in Kaiserreich?
r/Kaiserreich • u/Somethingbutonreddit • 9h ago
Question Would the Internationale rework address the obvious resource shortages that the Internationale would be going through?
Inspired by the comments from this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Kaiserreich/s/4FNuTnp6Hz
The Internationale would have lost vast industrial resources when their empires collapsed. They would have a severe lack of Oil and Rubber.
Not to mention the devastation brought about by France and Britain's respective civil wars.
It seems like the current content doesn't go into this enough.

Submod KR Enhanced AI: Regimental support, tank designs, doctrines and more
Hello friends today I bring to you another iteration of the Enhanced AI submod. I have been hard at work optimizing the mod for 1.19, and I now have a solid working version for you featuring:
- A full division template rework to optimize the use of regimental support companies. On infantry templates, SF will use infantry guns, MA will use heavy weapons, and MW/GBP will mix and match. Early tank divs will just use motorized heavy weapons, but post 1941 they will feature spaa and (heavily armored) td companies.
- A tank design rework. Light, flame, spaa, and spg tanks will have more armor ticks if the AI has lots of mils. Medium tds are a thing now and will be present as regimental support for medium tank divs (heavy tanks will use heavy tds).
- Optimized xp spending. A big issue the mod had is the AI struggling to get its doctrines given the absurd number of templates but I have considerably alleviated this and the AI now progresses diligently in its doctrines while still fielding big armies.
- Bug fixes and some niche improvements to certain aspects of the AI (for example, the UoB is now much more focused on plane production).
Enjoy!

AAR Cheng Qian's KMT Revolution Succeeds - a Hunan AAR
R5: Like much of south china, Hunan's content is much better than it was years before, even if it still lacks post unification content. Cheng Qian triumphed in elections in Hunan and took to war against Yunnan and Liangguang, succeeding against both with the sheer wit of Hunanese high command, and with fresh stockpiles deployed a massive force to face off against Japan. Alongside the Zhili, the KMT won out and soon the two powers came head to head. It was a scary sight at first, just above 120 divs vs the Zhili 200, but with superior strategy and tactical wit, the Second Northern Expedition was won. Cheng Qian solidified the country and moved to reclaim the periphery, including a 3rd Sino Japanese War which ended in the Japanese Empire's total dissolution. Though some lands remain out of reach.. it's safe to say that the KMT revolution is here to stay for decades to come...

Discussion Is it just me but Russia always wins against Germany
like in nearly every game I play unless I'm there to save Germany, Russia always steamrolls over Germany
Genuinely only in a few games I've had Germany does not get completely steamrolled over

Not really sure how but as some point Max Bauer was replaced with Wilhelm IV. I assume because Mittleafrika collapsed, the Hohenzollerns returned to Germany.

Discussion The Language of Economics in Kaiserreich
Earlier today, I noticed the fun little inclusion of GDP as a term in the APG reconstruction tree. Now I hardly think that's a problem, but it did get me thinking; quite a few of the economic terms we regularly use come out of the 1920s and 30s, after the Kaiserreich universe has already diverged significantly from our own.
Take GDP, for example. The term was first used by Simon Kuznets in a 1934 Congressional report, and then later seriously adopted thanks to a combination of demands from wartime economies and Bretton Woods. Not only is the framework of the New Deal+WW2+Bretton Woods gone, whether Kuznets left Ukraine at all is up in the air. Now, the "who invented what where" question is somewhat easy to answer for some other terms, since the answer is often "Ragnar Frisch in America/Oslo", and he seems to be living his best life in Norway, but not so for others.
And then, of course, there's the fact that a German victory is going to prop up the German Historical School's lifespan. A Germany that is still academically dominant might well have the juice to keep the Historical School going through Austrian and Popperian critiques.
Alltogether, you have a world that's wildly different from our own at just the same time that much of the language of modern economics is being formalized. The ideas and people that coined terms like "econometrics", "liquidity", and "multiplier" are in flux, and they might well be very different come 1936.
None of that even touches what mainstream econ might look like in a world with syndicalist economies, and that's so far outside my wheelhouse that I won't even try to touch it.
Tldr; specific terms are contingent, and I'm curious how different even economic jargon would be in Kaiserreich.

Submod The Little Red Lion - A Kaiserreich Submod
Having personally wanted a independent Singapore tag in Kaiserreich, I have made a mod that adds it in the game. Now the Fate of Singapore event allows you to release a Free Singapore with a generic focus tree. This is also my first mod, so any suggestions in regards to gameplay and for future ideas regarding Singapore are greatly appreciated.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3769234809
Future plans: A focus tree and custom leaders based around Singapore being led by either Lim Boon Keng and the People’s Democratic Party or Tan Kah Kee and the Singapore Nationalist Party. Unique leaders and focus trees on if Singapore was released by Japan or Britain/Canada

Discussion If there were to be a "KR 1939/1940-Scenario" like in vanilla, what setting in Europe/America/Asia do you expect the most?
Even when it would make less sense fun-wise (because of many more streamlined paths to go further), what would you think the KR world would like? The start would be some days before the Second Weltkrieg will start in Europe.
Some interesting questions, for example ...
- Is the US Civil War still raging, or has one side already won?
- Who is China's strongest faction to (probably) fight the Japanese?
- Is Germany a fighter for democracy (DU) or authoritarian (democratic) Europe?
- Has the Ottoman Empire fallen or is it still fighting?
- Will Savinkov have prevailed, or did he fail to manage the unrest?

Question How am I meant to win as the WCA?
I wanted to do a radical socialist America, but now I am getting demolished by Canada and the others. The other factions (except federalists cause I managed to kill them) signed a peace to focus on me, which would have been fine. But then Canada decided to attack me as well, which could have also been fine but I am just not able to hold New England cause all orders cost a ton of command power and there is never any supply there.
